Traveling to India? Find Jodhpur hotels

The Raas Hotel was an oasis in the middle of busy Jodhpur. Their continental food and breakfast (French toast!) was the best we've had in India and the Indian food was up there as well. Food is definitely their strong suit. The hotel has an emphasis on design and is an interesting mix of traditional and modern. We stayed in C block and it was a bit noisy from the road, but this was due to the patio door not sealing tightly. It might not be as loud in other rooms. The pool is stunning and views of Merangarh were awesome from almost everywhere within the grounds. We loved the gardens. After sunset or before sunrise be sure to check out the big tree outside the main gate to see thousands of small birds nesting for the night. It was a cool sight. Also, to explore the city, be sure to ask the hotel to call their contracted g on a fantastic walking tour to suit your tastes. He was like renting a friend for the day. The fort is a very close walk (especially if you sneak through thte back service entrance)- great location. Highly recommend!

The hotel is real centrally located in Jodhpur downtown, so you can take a walk to get there by yourselves. It is very easy to find out the location of this hotel, so you don't need to worry about getting lost even at night. :) The hotel is founded on the base of the old Royal Palace, so you may feel like you are king/queen or novels , and actually the quality of the staffs' hospitality is much more that we imagined - very attentive and friendly an also good-mannered, of course, including their fluent English-speaking ability. The restaurant on the roof was just perfect to have romantic 2 nights, - we enjoyed the food and night view, and fireworks too. I will absolutely come back to this hotel if I go to Jodhpur someday again. Reasonable price to the quality & services of this hotel. Yes, it was VERY ROMANTIC to look over the Castle near the hotel day and night through the BIG & WIDE windows. Romantic & relaxing enough.

This is a wonderful place to locate your self if you are visiting Jodhpur. It has everything you could possibly need to relax in comfort, be pampered, and within easy reach of the Fort and other places of historic interest, nd the extrodinary bazzar oozing with colourful life, and amazing shops featuring textiles, jewellery, and antiques. The food is excellent in the three restaurants, though a bit overpriced. The breakfast is exceptional with an array of choices. On the whole, the staff are very attentive to your every need. Given that the city is bustling with noise of every description, this is a real oasis of calm, restfullness, and tranquility. We would always return here again if visiting Jodhpur.

At the Shahi Guest house you are welcomed by Bantu and Anu, a lovely young couple who runs the guest house (Anu features in "Caroline Quentin: A Passage Through India" when Caroline visits Jodhpur). The guest house is in the middle of the bluest part of the "Blue City" Jodhpur, and the view from the roof top is excellent. The Shahi Suit where I stayed for a week was clean and spacious. Two Nepali servants who work at the guest house were very helpful and quick to respond to my requests. The guest house building is called Haveli, a traditional architecture in Rajasthan. If you are looking for an authentic experience of traditional India, you don't need to search further than the Shahi guest house.

We stayed there around late October 2016. We booked 4 rooms. As soon as we entered int he hotel we were greeted by hotel staff. Staff was very cooperative & supportive. Rooms are really big and they were very clean. Swimming pool, Gym, Restaurant and there is a very huge lawn if you want to do morning/evening walk. Hotel is surrounded by trees all around and overall experience was really good. Plenty of choices for breakfast. Hotel is located away from Jodhpur on Jodhpur-Ajmer highway. Only thing to improve is they didn't have enough staff members at the time during breakfast and they were struggling a bit. Overall it's a good hotel for stay.

Hotel is right in the middle of Jodhpur. It's an oasis from the flies and rubbish in the streets (as you get in most cities here). The pool is a welcome relief, but it's small - you don't sit around it with a beer - you go up to the roof top after swim. On an evening kites are flown from all the roof tops. Manager is wonderful guy who lent me £10 on arrival to pay taxi (from Udaipur), no reciept, all on trust. Great evening meal on roof. Very clean. Windows have mosquito nets so you can leave them open on a night - useful when there's a power cut and the AC stops.

Mandore guest house was literally a rare breath of fresh air in Jodhpur and India. Walking through the gates into the large garden was instantly relaxing and peaceful away from the noises of traffic and smells of India. Though not centrally located it is really easy to travel around to the sights of Jodhpur as the staff can arrange and prenegociate the prices of transport.the rooms were large and comfortable and the staff are fantastic.

EVERYTHING WAS GOOD IN THIS HOTEL. STAFF WAS COOPERATIVE. BUT PLEASE MIND THAT EXTRA BED MEANS AN EXTRA MATTRESS ON WHICH THE EXTRA PERSON IS SUPPOSED TO SLEEP ON FLOOR. WE DECIDED TO UPGRADE AND PAID RS 400/- PER DAY EXTRA TO THE HOTEL AND GOT A SPACIOUS AND 2 SINGLE BED ROOMS (WITH 2 ADEQUATE SIZE SINGLE BEDS ON WHICH 2 PEOPLE CA N SLEEP/ADJUST COMFORTABLY). COMPLIMENTARY BREAKFAST WAS QUITE GOOD.

Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Jodhpur. This stunning boutique hotel is a labour of love which the genuine, generous and kind brothers and Uncle - Sam, Guchi and Kailash - who built and decorated over three years to a level of art which has to be seen to be appreciated. A stunning location right next door to the famous step well (Toorji Ka Jhalra) and walking distance to the most characterful streets of the "Blue City". The hotel is topped with a lovely rooftop terrace which has jaw-dropping views of the famous fort (Mehrangarh Fort). Our room (Double Room) was huge, gorgeously decorated and very clean. Like the rest of the hotel, great attention has gone into decorating the room which is bursting with charm and character. Super comfortable bed, lovely cool A/C and and a well appointed bathroom top it off. While the beauty of this boutique hotel and it's location would be enough to thoroughly recommend it, it is the hosts - Sam, Guchi and Kailash - which make you feel like family. From local knowledge recommending unique experiences (e.g special sweet shop discovery challenge) to organising transport with safe, efficient operators to even going so far as to personally giving us a ride on their personal bike to access the elusive operational ATMs of Jodhpur - these guys make you feel like family. Couldn't go without mentioning that Arch Boutique has a proper espresso machine with genuine Lavazza beans in their A/C ground floor cafe. Thoughly recommend. Couldn't have been more happy with our stay at Arch Boutique. No need to look further - the hosts will thoroughly look after you.

We stayed in the Heritage Kuchaman Haveli Hotel for a couple of nights and we were very happy with the location. It is quite, away from the noisy India, but at the same time you are inside the city walls and you are walking distance to almost everywhere. The rooms are big and clean. The breakfast is good enough, but for dinner, take other options in the city before you go to their roof top. The food is good but the view is not amazing. Overall it was a good experience and we will stay here when we return to Jodhpur.

We couldn't recommend The Almond Tree highly enough! We loved our stay here and would definitely come back, given the chance. We were in Udaipur before coming to Jodhpur and we were pleased by the relax vibe of the city. We thought our easy going trip will end once we get out of Udaipur, however, staying in The Almond Tree made our Jodhpur leg an enjoyable and smooth visit. The owners Chetan and his wife were such excellent hosts. They provided recommendations on places to visit while in Jodhpur, arranged a tuktuk pick up for us and helped us book our bus ticket to Jaisalmer. The staff also go out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable. Because we had to check out early morning, they packed breakfast for us to eat on the road. If you're also looking for a proper breather from the hustle and bustle that is India, you will definitely appreciate this property. It is little out of the city center roughly around 5 - 10 minutes, inside a quiet residential village near Umaid Bhawan Palace. It is new and tastefully designed. We stayed in Champa room and it was well decorated, spacious and clean. Because it is homestay, they also provide home cooked meals which are always fresh and delicious! We recommend to try the Chicken Kathi Roll and Poha. You have to order ahead of time for lunch and dinner to give them time to prepare. With caring owners, attentive staff, beautiful property and delicious food, The Almond Tree is certainly one of the highlights of our trip!

Staying at the Suraj Haveli Jodhpur was a highlight on my trip to India. The owner and Family were incredibly welcoming. I felt comfortable and cared for from the very beginning. As a female traveling by my myself this was a big relief and heartwarming. I truly felt like a friend or family guest. Upon arrival I was offered a complimentary brief tour of the surrounding areas by a local friend of the family which gave me the opportunity to learn and see even more of Jodphur and from a locals perspective. I ate breakfast and dinner in the Haveli each day that I stayed and it was fresh, healthy and SO delicious. And I ate each meal from the roof top while enjoying a beautiful view of the city and the Mehrangar Fort. Which by the way is a very short walk from the Haveli. I would certainly stay at this location again and highly recommend this location to anyone traveling to Jodhpur.

Jee Ri Haveli is a nice hotel. The location is in the old city of Jodhpur, great location ... 5 minutes walking distance to the clock tower which is one of the main attractions in Jodhpur. The room is very clean ! Very Cool AC and beautiful view of the Merangarh Fort from the room window. It has one of the best view in Jodhpur. When you walk outside the hotel, of course you will find many cows and the not so-clean environment. But I think it's normal because Jodhpur itself is not one clean city. The owners, Himansu and his family were very helpful with everything. They also arrange a Bishnoi village tour for us for a decent price. Overall we are very satisfied with Jee Ri Haveli. Surely we will stay in this hotel again when we come to Jodhpur in the next future.

In our 15 days of India we stayed at hotels that ranged from 1* to 5*s. Singhvi's Haveli was by far our favorite. The food was delicious (I recommend the Singhvi special-one of the most delicious things I have ever eaten). The staff was incredibly polite and helpful (they set up our zipline over the fort(Totally recommend this!) and our driver to and from Jaiselmer (half the cost a tour company had given us). The internet only works in the common area/lounge terrace but that was not a problem as we had a beautiful view of the fort and we enjoyed being outside. The design of the hotel was absolutely adorable and for my return to Jodhpur I will definitely stay here again no question!

Juna Mahal is a real jewel of guest house; the rooms are lovely decorated and very clean; you also get shampoo and shower gel as well as free wifi; the haveli is very well kept, the family very sweet and the cook fantastic! on the roof terrace, you have 360 degree view over jodhpur; overall this is the best guesthouse I have stayed in in two months of india. thank you very much!

We had a great visit at Jodhpur Heritage Haveli Guesthouse. Everyone is so friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. The best part for us was the rooftop which has a spectacular view of the old city and the fort. They serve food up there so it is also a great spot for dinner. It is an easy walk to get to the clock tower and other local attractions/ restaurants.

Booked this hotel for our stay during a visit to Jodhpur. It is a very nice property with almost all conceivable amenities. There are large open spaces and a large pool. The room was very spacious and cookies, fruits and some snacks were provided complimentary. The food at the restaurant Chinkara is very good. Breakfast had a lot of variety. People say Tea anywhere in Rajasthan is great, however, the only thing which was a bit of a let down was the Tea. It was too mild in flavor and perhaps not made for the Indian palate.

This accomodation is eligible for business hotel. Surroundings are tranquil and it is near from the airport. On the other hands, those things are also could be boring if someone would search for entertainment. Even though India does not have much amusement, guests try to see more excitings when they are after work. This hotel seems to lack of fulfil those needs. It is really a business hotel. When I entered, the room smelt very strong wax. The door man who moved my luggage brought air freshner after hearing my shouting "what is this smell?". The quick reaction was quite satisfactory but the smell didn't go out while I stayed. Breakfast is quite Okay.

we stayed 2 nights with chhotaram prajapat and his family and would have happily stayed longer if we had had the time. the family was very friendly and welcoming and eager to make sure we had everything we needed. the food, which is cooked over an open fire by the host's mother, was delicious, fresh, and plentiful--just imagine eating chapatis straight off the skillet and drinking hot masala chai with milk from the family cow. yum! the traditional hut we slept in has an attached western bathroom—the room and bathroom were both quite clean and the bed was comfortable. being about 30 km outside jodhpur, it was quiet, peaceful, and relaxing--we watched the sunset over the desert from the roof of the house and ate dinner out under the stars. all that and the chance to talk with our host--who speaks english well--about the lives and customs of his family, other villagers, and india in general made this the most memorable part of our trip. the members of the family are dhurrie (rug) weavers, and their house is also the collection point for the rugs made by other members of the dhurrie weaving cooperative they belong to, so there is the opportunity to see their looms, the weaving, and the finished rugs (and to purchase some if you want). our host picked us up at the airport when we arrived in jodhpur and took us back to the city after our stay without additional charge. the family also runs village safaris by jeep to see wildlife, bishnoi villages, area temples and monuments, and local crafts. we took the full day tour, and it was very enjoyable. if you want to feel that you are in india, and not just seeing india, i highly recommend this place where you will be treated like an especially honored family member.

Unfortunately I took ill with bronchitis - fortunately I booked into Inn Season where the comfort of the room and the personal care afforded by the owner and his staff made my stay as enjoyable as possible. I loved the 1930's character of the hotel and the deco details of the furnishings and appointments. Highly recommended on all counts save the wifi signal that was a little intermittent.
