"It sounds like it should be an impressive stay, but to me it was just average. Mainly, it was difficult to get to as I did not have my own vehicle. After phoning several local taxi companies without success, I twice phoned the hotel to ask if they provided a local pick up service (I was only two miles down the road) or if they could suggest any other means of getting there. Eventually I found an available taxi company, but they charged me an excess for travelling from outside the area. Personally, I think it would be excellent for business if the hotel provided a local shuttle/pick up/drop off (courtesy or paid for). The welcome at reception was good and the receptionist was cheerful and friendly. I stayed in a club room. However, the room was tired, the shower was super small and the bed was uncomfortable. Unfortunately, I did not sleep very well at all. I dined at the Bistro for an evening meal and breakfast. Both were enjoyable and the waitress (with long dark hair) was superb."
