After reading the reviews we decided to try out the Madurai Residency and we weren't disappointed. The rooms were lovely, the service excellent and the position great. Excellent value for money and will defiantly stay again on our next trip to Madurai.

This is an excellent hotel in Madurai. Its close to Meenakshi Amman temple. The rooms were very clean, No smell or stench. The staff is accommodating (we got upgraded room, because of overbooking) The room are very spacious and have all the amenities; Strongly recommend.

Food was very good. Staff were friendly and polite. Compact room. If the flyover wasn't built at the front, the hotel would have been easily accessible. It wasn't difficult though. One of the best at this price.

A very good hotel in Madurai. Went there with family and stayed here. The room was very good.It was clean and with all the required facilities. The food in the restaurant was also very good. The temple is about 1.5 Km from the hotel and one can avail autorikshaws to go the temple. Overall Recommended to stay.

The Hotel is infront of Madurai Jn Railway Station , is very convenient and near to temple which is around km away. The room had AC, geyser facilities, cleanly maintained. Could get tea, water served also inside room . Budget economical decent hotel , surprisingly belonging to Madurai Corporation.

This is a very nice hotel. The room are clean and shower with hot water is marvellous. Located 5 minutes (tuk tuk) from the train station, it is a perfect location. Going the Madurai main temple from there is easy with a tuk tuk. I recommend this very nice hotel.

I was admitted for surgery there post operatively I was staying here and the sfltaff were very helpful getting my request dine very promptly . Especially the Reception dark Indian Chap went more then extra mile .... without any expectations . App staff are polite and very informative .

We selected the hotel as it is the nearest to fulfill the purpose. Rooms are clean and the staffs were friendly and helpful. Hotel was not available for the selected period. Have to go to another hotel for 3 days and come back to same hotel complete our stay. Overall great place and definitely coming back again.

This is a great option for madurai. Three minute walk to the temple. Lots of life right outside the hotel entrance. Our morning chai across the street. Fresh coconuts kitty corner. Very good restaurant. Helpfull staff. Old hotel that caters to Indian pilgrims. A nice way to better experience Indian way of living and travelling. Can be noisy at times with buses, auto-rickshaws and cars. We enjoyed our stay at a very decent price.

The hotel was great, we stayed in 5 different hotels before Arasan Sapthagiri, and all were so disappointing with various issues. In Hotel Arasan Sapthagiri, the duvet and mattress was open sponge and lots of dust were coming out. Which was a huge disappointment, however the restaurant, staff and rest of the stay was extremely good. I loved it.

The hotel is centrally located near Minakshi Amman Temple. Walkable distance from Temple. Restaurant and eateries are nearby. Staying was good but cleanliness requires more attention specially bed sheets etc. We went there to Madurai for darshan of Minakshi Devi temple & hotel was nearby and stay was overall o.k.

The place was good and staff were pleasant. It is an old building but maintained properly. The price is not so good compared to other newly built hotels at better locations available in Madurai itself. Thus, price wise it cannot be recommended. As we were on a medical trip, most of the time we spent outside and thus, preferred a cheaper hotel.

I always liked to stay here whenever I go to Madurai. It's safe, neat and close to attractions that I did not find in many hotels in the same price band. They have a car parking with security. One of the good Veg restaurants in Madurai in few feet away. Wifi wasn't working during the entire stay.
