Very spectacular hotel for travelers who are looking forward to stay in a luxury Hotel in Marrakesh with a reasonable value of money. We loved the staff because they were very helpful when we didn't like the first room when we checked in, they changed it right away when we requested. It has a very marvelous Islamic themed, the hotel garden is very very very nice. We e...

We stayed for 6 nights in december ,recieved a warm welcome from the Staff ,we had to wait over 2 hours to get a room but the room was beautiful ,we had a double and it was perfect for us . 5 stars in Marrakech is nowhere near 5 stars in europe but it was a definite 4 stars and we were Happy with that . Staff were polite and friendly at all times . Perfect location...

As seasoned travellers we’ve been to many hotels around the world, but there is something about Dar Les Cigognes (DLC) that sets it apart.... it’s people. The moment you walk in Hayat, the resident manager, greets you like an old friend welcoming you home. The rest of the staff will help you with everything and anything -they truly care that you have the perfect stay....

Getting there is difficult (specially if it's the first time you are in Marrakech). It is two/three streets away from the main square. The street where it is located looks dirty and ugly but the hotel from the inside is really nice. It is a very good hide away from the craziness of the streets (very peaceful and quiet, with trees in the yard). Our room was nice, alt...

A really delightful, warm and welcoming hotel just off Rue Mohammed Fifth, in the middle of Gueliz, a stone's throw from Mc Donalds! I had a beautiful, very elegant, warm room on the second floor overlooking the street, and an exceeding comfortable double bed all to myself. There is a receptionist who speaks good English, and an attentive Customer Relations Manager. I ...

Hotel Rose Meryem surpassed our expectations. We wanted to live in a typical Moroccan Riad mostly to get a good contact with other guests and a host family. And we directly felt welcomed by the family. Zeyneb and Rabiya were there to welcome us and show us around. We got 2 rums on the first flor overlooking the patio. Breakfast was very good; especially the honey panca...

We were at Novotel for three nights. Our visit was made easy, relaxing and memorable because of our stay at Novotel Marrakech. Perfect location within 15 minutes you can be any where, like Airport, Menara Garden, Manera Mall, Katoubia Mosque and Jema ul Fana. Hop on Hop off bus stop was just outside the hotel. Staff was tooooooooooo good especially Mehdi, he made us fe...

When we arrived we were given mint tea on arrival and had people greet us as soon as we got out the taxi they looked after our bags. They gave us a free upgrade to a pool view. The rooms were very nice and modern and very cleaned very well every day. I think the service from the staff was great they were so happy to help you with anything you needed.

It was good, but I'd give it four, not five, stars. The bed was lumpy, service was friendly but not always easy to find, and there were renos happening right outside my room, so I had to keep the drapes shut. The hotel is beautiful and is a destination itself.

Very nice building, yet in need of some modernisation and renovation. Furniture gets old and shabby, but I’m sure 20 years ago it was a great hotel. Nothing provided, not even bottle of complimentary water, let alone tea or coffe or an electric kettle. One old towel for two people. Safe box not in working order ... but all that seems to be completely acceptable by loca...

This is like an Oasis in Marrakech, got great air conditioning inside which is what u need in Marrakech in july!!! Loved the decor that gives you a Moroccan vibe as oppose to four seasons that was more modern, the room was nice, spacious and got a good ac going on. staff were nice, didn't enjoy the breakfast just because it was more of a local style than full english o...

We have stayed there 4 nights. For the really fair and cheap price we payed we are happy with the hotel. The rooms are already a bit older but everything is clean. The cleaners are all very friendly to us and also the reception, they made our bookings for some trips we had and also reservations for the restaurants we have been. The bar is small but nice and we had even...

My wife and I had booked lots of hotels/resorts for our recent 3 week honeymoon holiday. Admittingely I was nervous about most of our destinations -- Riad Zolah was the exception to the fact. I was amazed to find such a fantastic deal for Zolah on Agoda.com -- the reviews on every travel site are amazing. Deservingly so, Fatima, Abdul and the entire staff at Zolah trea...

We really liked the Riad Lila. Beautiful fiew from the Roof top. It was very Close to the souks of Marrakech. if you want to travel by yourself from the Airport, take the bus. the taxi stops at the same place like the bus, at the Place Jemaa El Fna. you can only reach the Hotel by Walking. we had a great time.

This was long overdue. We travelled to Marrakech in December last year, but even the short stay at La Terrasse de Oliviers has left an indelible mark! Renaud and his staff are wonderfully hospitable and will go that extra step to make you feel at home. Even the Riad is homely, and located close to all major sights. We wish we had stayed longer, but the next time we ret...

Staying at the Meridien N'Fis was an absolute delight for me and my entire family (3 adult children). Although there are many charming Riyads in Marrakech, the Meridien is ideal in terms of offering a resort-like atmosphere. The only minor negative point would be the difficulty in getting a "big" taxi outside the hotel. I can definitely recommend this hotel for busines...

I spent a week as a solo female traveler and I would highly reccomend this place if you want to feel safe and still be close to where things are happening. The riad is very pretty and the rooms are comfortable. They clean your room everyday and breakfast is very good. They served a different kind of bread everyday. Although I would have prefered to have more healthy ch...

It was my 1st adventure in Marrakech (and it was an adventure!) and after getting a little assistance to finding Riad Dar El Souk (Google maps would have helped), I couldn’t have been more satisfied with my stay. It’s a bit off the beatin path, but so is the rest of Marrakech and that’s part of the charm. Very reasonably priced also. Abdul and staff were very helpfu...

If you dont stay in the old Medina then this is the best choice in Marrakech...after he madness of the Medina every day it was great to come back to Ibis for a cool swim and cold beer (many places in the Medina do not allow alcohol. Ibis was only 5min by taxi to the Medina...and next to train station...so easy, yet so quiet

We had a great stay in this Riad. It is everything we expected a Riad to be with lovely open courtyard, great rooms and very friendly staff who were very helpful. We arranged an airport pick-up which worked well. We had dinner in house one night which was probably the best meal we had in Morocco - big helpings and very well presented. We would highly recommend this...

Actually the hotel is nice, clean and well located with nice staff. BUT: The machine for the aircon must have been located on the roof right over our room 509. We were on the top floor and at first we were grateful for that because it was quite and no noise from outside... But in the night the loud throbbing humming sound from the roof went right to the bone and findin...

Simple necessities not available ie an iron,no fridge in the room, no adaptors available so had to spend £6 to buy 2 from local shop so can charge mobiles daily. Not a great variety for breakfast either.Wifi dropped constantly and there was no remote to the TV ,bath was awful state, the phone to call reception did not work so due to all this we moved from 4th to 1st f...

Nice boutique (small) hotel with very polite and helpful staff. Clean rooms. Breakfasts (included) were excellent. Other food/ drink was limited and very expensive - I bought some water for my room from a nearby supermarket (they didn’t like that but were ok with it). The hotel is a little out of the way from the centre of town but there are plenty of taxis available ...

Location is a good 15-min walking distance from Marrakech train station and 30-45mins to the medina. I took a cab for 20dhs to go to Djemma el fna as it was very humid. but enjoyed walking back to the hotel as there were a lot of things to see along the way. Nice pool, good breakfast. Room was ok, mine was facing the pool. bathroom ok too but no bidet. They have goo...
Cheap places to stay in Marrakech

Yeah, that was perfect evening in Kif-Kif, I didn't laught so much before) Despite of turnover of tourists (like everywhere), I found here many interesting people, that were like my family. Staff was very nice and funny, special thanks to Ashraf, who made us feel at home! They also arranged me trip from Marrakesh to Sahara desert. Place is nice as well, cozy old buildi...

The hostel is very clean. I booked a bunk bed in a female dorm but was the only one there so had the room and bathroom all to myself for the price of a dorm room. The bathroom and toilet are clean and well-maintained. The terrace where I had breakfast was ok. There’s not really a good view from there but the breeze was nice. The receptionist should smile more to be mor...

d sweets, given all the information about the area, things to do, places to see, followed by being shown your room and amenities. The entire Riad is beautiful, colourful and traditional. Great location and very good security. I stayed in the dorm room which sleeps 8, it was spacious and comfortable, though there is not a power socket at every bed, there are more than ...

Look, it’s very cheap so so don’t expect a palace! The pillows were really hard, the shower splashed everywhere so the bathroom floor was soaked, the riad was hard to find and we also got woken up all the time by people talking outside our room. Staff were really lovely though and breakfast was small and cute. If you’re a serious budget traveler, this would be great!

Location & staff excellent, but there are famished mosquitos present due to poor drainage of plants. Bites counted the next morning: 10! Also, I woke up in the middle of of the night to large ants crawling on me. Lastly, no towels or soap provided. I would not this hotel to my worst enemy.

I spent a week as a solo female traveler and I would highly reccomend this place if you want to feel safe and still be close to where things are happening. The riad is very pretty and the rooms are comfortable. They clean your room everyday and breakfast is very good. They served a different kind of bread everyday. Nourdine is by far the best hotel manager in Marrakech. I noticed he speak at least 4 languages fluently. Our stay at Hotel Cecil were one of the best experiences in Morocco. The Market is almost opposite the hotel, about 75 meters and very close to a very nice restaurant where Nourdine organized for us to be treated to some of the best Moroccan dishes. The rooms is ve...

Nice little place, kind staff, comfy bed & pillow. Decent wifi at ground floor and on the terrace overlooking the road. Make sure they meet you at the main street the first time you arrive, or if you have to use one of the 'guides' be sure to agree on a price before! Google maps will help you out well though, and the alleys are well lit at night. Don't trust anyone te...

Aziz and his wife Asma were wonderful hosts; even before we arrived, e-mail communication was timely and professional. Aziz arranged pickup for us and helped us throughout our stay. We were able to do our laundry, they shared a meal with us, we enjoyed conversations with Aziz about many things, and we felt welcomed. There was an honest mistake made concerning our pa...

We stayed at Riad des Etoiles for a 3 of nights. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Thank you Sofiane and Mohammed! Location however, was not the best. The Riad was a little bit far from the main hubs, we got lost the first night coming back to the Riad from the main attractions and this was very uncomfortable as we ended up in the 'suburb' behind the Riad. This wa...

The stay started with a tour and a cup of tea. All given by amazing friendly staff. They have plenty of spaces to just go relax including a very nice terrace. The bed was perfect (Big and comphy), and the shower was nice and hot plus it had great water pressure. My stay ended after an exquisite breakfast the next morning and paying the very reasonably priced bill. All ...

Tachfine hotel is a certainly the one that you should consider when you plan an economic stay at Marrakech but look for the comfortable accommodation. The front desk person was very friendly and welcomed foreigner. The hotel was equipped with a nice bar at the top of building with beautiful panorama.

Me and my partner spent a week in Riad ESSAOUSSAN 4.11.18-11.11.18 and loved everything about it. The Riad is in the perfect location but completely blocks out the noise from the souks. The owner/manager Youssef was great, we booked two day trips through him and the trips were amazing! He also gave us parting gifts for us and our daughter (which she loves thank you) an...

The riad staff was absolutely friendly and helpful. He , the nice young English-Germany(I guess) guy , helped me when I was in trouble that I forgot to print my boarding pass which I must submit to airport otherwise I must pay the airport about 50 Euro for penalty. He woke up early for me , made me fine breakfast, and spent much time to print my boarding pass. I reall...

We were only there for 3 days unfortunately, but found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. We were waiting for the coach to take us back to Marrakesh. One of the waiters who had just finished his shift, crossed the road to ask how we had enjoyed our stay and wished us a pleasent journey back together with general enthusiastic chint chat. Very genuine.

Really enjoyed staying here, the owner is a great guy and very helpful. The maison is not that easy to find as it is down some backstreets (which don't look great) but actually very close to Place Jaama El Fna, the main square in Marrakech. The rooms look great, a mix of traditional and modern.

We had a great stay at Dar Narjis. The staff is amazing! So kind and helpful. The guy working there saved us from a 50€ boarding fee by printing out our plane tickets in the middle of the night, and gave us free breakfast (coffee/tea, Moroccan pancakes, bread, jam/butter, eggs, fresh orange juice) since we had to change to a different room for our first night (which wa...

We arrived late, tired and in need of a hot shower, which was available. Although the room did contain a French window, it did not give us the view we had expected, being at the back of the hotel. In the end, this proved to be much better, far away from the street noice. Big room with TV and great beds, but furniture in need of replacement. Big advantage was the bar do...

Very comfortable. We had a welcome mint tea with the owner on a beautiful roof terrace with plenty information shared with us about Marrakech and Morocco. The food that was prepared for us was excellent, the rooms very comfortable and the staff very friendly and hospitable. Thank you also for the birthday cake that was supplied for my husbands birthday. What a surp...

Staff were very friendly and helpful. U feel like home when u r back to the Riad. Within 15 min walking distance, u can reach....I say two thirds of the major attractions in town. First night we had the lemon chicken tajine there. It’s the best we had in our 2 weeks Maroc trip.
4-star hotels in Marrakech

I strongly recommend this hotel as the location is brilliant thanks to talk buildings the swimming pool areas can be cool when the weather is hot. My kids loved it. We found alots shops around and si close by. Taxis are so cheap and easy to catch. The staff were really nice professional and welcoming I would stay there again

This was the perfect Riad for my friend and I. We were on a bit of a budget but still wanted to stay in a lovely place. Riad Abaka satisfied both of those requirements. We were welcomed with traditional Moroccan mint tea and a brief tour of the accommodations and amenities. (Note: it maybe helpful to arrange for someone from the riad to meet you at the gates to the med...

The staffs are very welcoming. The foods are glorious. Had breakfast by the pool all the time. Facilities are nice and clean. It was a perfect getaway for us working parents coz we had a quality time with our kid. It was an oasis in the city I would say. Will recommend the place to my family , friends and colleagues for sure.

Excellent stay in a quiet suburb far from the noisy town centre. Beautiful food freshly cooked in front of you and a free transfer back to Marrakesh on request. If arriving after 10pm contact them in advance to make sure the gates are open as they lock them and note this Kasbah is a 350Dirham taxi fare from the airport.

We were there for two nights and really enjoyed our stay, staff were kind and always helpful, the location central, the building traditional and tastefully decorated. Very well managed, with nice courtyards with beautiful plants! Breakfast by the roof was really pleasent. Would reccomend to anyone without hesitation! Can't go wrong

This was a lovely riad and we had a very comfortable stay here. It is very easy to access the main square and other sights in Marrakech. It is, however, around some back alleys so you will need to pay one of the guys with a cart in the main square to take your bags and show you the way (max 20 dirham). When arriving back at night we had to wait for the staff to open th...

WE arrived a bit tired and stressed from our train trip to this beautiful little oasis only minutes from the madness of the Medina. Our room was ready with rose petals delicately scattered across the bed and bathroom. How beautiful! We were warmly welcomed with mint tea & asked if there was anything we needed. As it was our first night in Marrakech we asked if we could...

we stayed for one night and arrived late, arranged airport service with the hotel (recommend) so getting there was a breeze. its very close to the action but far away so its quiet to get a good sleep. we returned to the same riad after a sahara tour. since its the only place we have stayed in marrakech, we can't compare it to other riads but we loved it!

Difficult to find at first, but right in the heart of the old city which is great for exploring the real marrakech and not just the toursit areas. Only a short walk to the main square and tourist areas. Would definitely recommend to experience Marrakech and all its hustle and bustle.

Althought not easy to get to, once inside it is a great pleasure to be able to rest and relax without the ever chaotic chatter of the Medina. Philippe and his team are polite and made sure to be available for any of my needs! The choice of furniture, design and atmosphere is exactly what I would expect from a quiet riad! I will certainly go back and shall recommend it ...

The riad is nice and it's a beautiful rooftop area for guests too. The staff at this Riad are great people who does everything to make your stay nice especially the guy at the reception who speaks perfect english. 20 min walk to main attractions but you can get a taxi for 25-30 dirhams. Really enjoyed our 1 week stay her.

Our experience at the Riad Viva was exceptional from the moment we arrived until the point we had to leave. The service and overall experience was incredible. We were on our honeymoon...and a friend recommended this hotel. After 18 days of travelling, his is by far the best hotel I have ever used. The staff are warm and accommodating. It is a small hotel situated in the best part of Hivernage acoss from the cool Delano hotel so one can take advantage of the latter's superior facilities (roof restaurant etc. The rooms are comfortable and quite spacious, unfortunately with a very small wardrobe that would not be sufficient for two people staying over a weekend. The staff courteous and helpful. B...

we stayed at the main riad. be aware that other riads are far darker and in our view less hospitable. the room was very nice however small (not abnormal in an old riad). staff were very friendly but the service level is far below a 5 stars hotels (no room service after midnight, no coffee machine, no tv, no iron available). swimming pool is more a cold jacuzzi. the...

A really nice Family place, lots of locals with kids. Noisy Animation for kids during dinner time. Not so relaxing. Buffet was good but the staff was bad. Had to run around to find something to drink, nobody seemed to feel in charge for us. For the Price we payed I would expect way more Service. Great garden and Pool! Rooms are really nice. Single and couples feel a bi...

The Palm Plaza has the potential to be one of the most sought after places to stay in Marrakech if it would work on training its staff a little better. The people at the check in desk are not very efficient or enthusiastic, and the people working at the various restaurants can be arrogant and inattentive. Also, the hotel does not do a good job of describing where the...

Riad Lorsya is a great place to stay. It is beautifully decorated and gives you a real feel for what it's like to stay in a Moroccan home. The Riad Lorsya has a quiet serenity about it. We picked this hotel for its location and price and was not dissppointed. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and organised transport to and from the airport for us prior to our departure from the UK.they also have a wealth of knowledge about sightseeing and recommend several really local/authentic restaurants for us to visit for dinner in the old town, and advised u...

The hotel is super nice and the staff is wonderful. The food is more than descent for an all inclusive. Location wise the hotel is out of the city which is relaxing but you can be in the center in 10min with the fee shuttle bus. The hotel entertainment caters more for families but even as a couple we had a great time as we won't looking to party and again the staff is ...

Great riad for relaxing in for a chilled escape from the craziness of Marrakech. Small but comfortable and nicely decorated rooms. Great roof top terrace to chill out on. The hotel is difficult to find as you have to wind round several alleys to get there so I would recommend getting the airport pick up although the locals are very helpful in helping you to find it!...

It was our second time at this hotel - for good reason. The first stay, last year, was a dream. We wondered if we'd feel the same when we repeated our stay. To our pleasure - t was even better!!! It is a fab oasis in the middle of an active, sometimes, caotic place (Marrakech!). The rooftop is a great place to just waste time. And the staff were superb!!!!

Located away from the bustling city center of Marrakesh, this resort was a superb resting place, unless you prefer to stay close to the Medina. It's about 10 minutes away by taxi to the Medina - cost around 50 Dirham. A nice thing about this resort is that one can walk to a mall with Carrefour in it in 5 minutes. The room was splendid; we really liked it. Staff was ver...

Palais Donab is a dream for a first time visitor to Marrakech. It is within walking distance of the drop off point of transportation to the medina. It is close to the back entrance to the Djermaa al Fna. It has excellent restaurants, Dar Moha, Dar Marjana, within walking distance. The Palais itself has a fine restaurant which seems to be available to guests whenever t...

Marrakech is an assault on the senses, and Dar Anika is the perfect escape from the noise, hustle and bustle. The location is a surprise - the taxi drops you off next to a roundabout at the start of a covered alley filled with small shops that takes you to the central square (so if you're sightseeing or want to get a real taste of Marrakech you couldn't be in a bette...

if u want to fall in the love.. or looking for break from a fast hectic lifestyle.. this is the place to visit. a private oasis, friendly staff and good cusine. mint iced tea waiting on your arrival. dont want to tell you everything.. i would like to keep this place a secret.

The Riad was perfect in every way. The staff were fantastic and very accommodating. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner there and all meals were exceptional we even had a chance at cooking our own. The only downside is that you don't get a choice of meals at dinner. The staff showed us around the area which was very helpful as the square in Marrakech can be very dauntin...

This was my first visit to Marrakech, though I had been to Fez a couple of times. Marrakech is very loud, busy, crowded and driven by tourist trade.
Marrakesh did actually not appeal me very well. As a major point I must say, the Medina and especially the Souk can be very annoying since a lot of bargainers/shopmen are very pushy on visitors.
Very interesting city, some main attractions to be visited, and a lot to stroll around and feel the Moroccan lifestyle.
Marrakech is a vibrant city with lots of interesting handcrafts that we can buy and see how they make them.
Fullfill with tourists .. I think: it is the best one in Maroc .. And, there is hop on-off double deck tour bus (Not expensive but, not important)
The best thing to do is to walk in the medina for hours, because the souk is amazing. Don't worry if you don't find your way out immidiately, or then ask some adult person in which direction Jma El Fna is.
After a few days you can get bored of the food since they don't have many options. we got food poisoning on the second day from an expensive touristy restaurant and were scared to eat anything after that.
Lots of great things to see; good to have a guide - but it will cost more money than it's worth; lots of great shopping in the local souks/markets.
beautiful weather. friendly but poor people. would be nice break if you do not have problem with your hotel booking
How to haggle for the best price: 1. Decide what you want to pay. 2. Tell the trader a price 20% of what they ask for.
Amazing expensive city. Streets are very dirty. Everyone tries to rip you off and you need to be careful about pick pockets.
Rich in culture, and great central point to go on day trips! there are lots of hidden little gems, like the day spa our hotel recommended.
don't go to Marrakech unless it's for SPAs. well there are also some nice gardens. but really?! there are so many other cities worth going.
We were put off by the INCESSANT attempts by locals to get money from you. They took or pointed the wrong way through the maze of streets, then asked for money, and became quite nasty if refused.
Marrakech was magical, smell, hectic, soulful and full of colour. I reommend reading up about the culture before you go.
Wonderful, busy, noisy yet also quiet nad relaxing. So much to see. Enjoy bargaining with the many traders .
Very interesting city where 'the old meets the new'. Many interesting places to visit but the constant haggling for nearly everything gets tiring.
Everything I thought it would be and more . Authentic . Tourism hasn't ruined the place yet , no " international act's " on the Djemaa el Fna yet , hopefully this will stay that way for a while .
Found the whole Medina area confusing...its history but its also catering for tourism, not so much the single travellers.
We had a great 4 night stay in the Medina. Walked all around the old city sightseeing and shopping. The place is old and rough, if you prefer lovely bistros and posh shopping, then head for Guilez which is the new part.
The medina is most interesting. For a break, take a walk in the gardens. Check out Lonely Planet for eating places.
Definitely an interesting city to discover however ... I doubt that I would revist. Highlights of the trip include Quad biking in the desert, a wonderful cooking class, one or two visits to the market (after a while, it gets tiring).
Try to arrange a transfer to your hotel from the airport before your arrival. Taxi drivers are unscrupulous.
A great sightseeing and shopping town. The Fortified Medina is fascinating and if you have not been to Fez, this is about as good as it gets for medinas in Morocco.
Its a vibrant and interesting place full of culture and lots of opportunities for photos and shopping.
2 days were more than enough. Locals very pushy and we ended up getting food poisoning. Most of the big attractions can be seen in 2 days then your pretty much done in Marrakech.
We only visited the Medina part of Marrakech (where I suppose most people focus their visits) and whilst it is definitely worth visiting, I wouldn't rush to go back.
Super chaotic, dirty and crazy. Pay attention to cars, moped and donkeys. It's like being in a movie!
Marrakech gave us the oportunity to experience North Africa on the edge of Sahara. Marrakech is a big town, the new part and the Medina.
we stayed for 3 days, 2 nights, and found it great. yes you could stay longer, but 3 days will give you enought time to explore the medina.
