Traveling to Jamaica? Find Montego Bay hotels

Nice restaurants on site but front desk staff is the worst. They allowed us to wait 3 hours to check-in and did't provide us any accommodations as a result. Additionally our suite room door wouldn't lock properly so if someone wanted they could just walk right into our room. Waited to get the door fixed once and then the next day the door did the same thing. I complained but the hotel said it was nothing they could do since I booked through a 3rd party site😡. This was the finally straw! So Jamaica was really fun for us but this resort made things really difficult for us while on vacation. If you dont mind being inconvenienced while on vacation then this will be a great resort to stay at.

Breathless is an increadible experience and don’t bother to go anywhere else! It features amazing pools with a daily DJ between 12-18, plus a rooftop bar with a pool and hot jacuzzi. You will also get access to a beautiful private beach plus you have access to all restaurants at the adjacent Secret resort. We went to five other five-star hotels in Jamaica before settling here. Go no further, breathe deep and go Breathless!

I stayed all inclusive for the first time over Christmas, and for what I wanted this trip, it wasn’t bad at all. I enjoyed it. I resided in premier club, so I shared a nice pool with only a few neighbors. The rooms are lovely and cleanliness is a must wherever I choose to stay. I was not disappointed. My butlers were Super Amazing. Yes, the room comes with butler service and I loved them. They were available when needed, available by private phone service. I didn’t need much, I only wanted sea & sand & a nice pool with some level of seclusion, and I got all of that really. In fact, amongst all the excitement over Christmas holiday, I was still able to find enough seclusion to suit me fine, although I’ll look for another property destination for more of it next time. I needed a getaway on my own, so it was definitely a more sociable type of resort than what I wanted, but I’d bring my sister, cousin, or come back here with a friend for fun.

Our ocean view suite was actually more a pool view with the ocean just visible past that. The suite itself was very good. We never saw our butler once in the four days we were there. Generally all the staff were great. It would be nice to have Red Stripe in bottles instead of cans. Snorkelling on the reef just off the hotel was excellent but between the beach and the reef wasn't any good at all for swimming due to algae and jellyfish.

Wow where to even start. I absolutely loved this resort and my time there. The food is VERY good (having been to other all-inclusive resorts as well), the service is terrific and everyone is so so so friendly, the resort does such an amazing job trying to make sure everyone is happy and having a good time, and the facilities are very clean. I would hands down come back again and recommend this resort to anyone staying in Jamaica. Thank you so much for letting us have such an amazing vacation!

A taste of Jamaica away from the main tourist drag, outside Montego Bay, rather like staying in a Jamaican family home. A lovely house designed by the equally lovely Jennifer, owner. A nice friendly informal atmosphere among the guests as well. There are enough things to do and see on this side of Montego Bay, including the fascinating Greenwood Great House (former plantation / slave-owners home) and trips csn be organised with the villa shuttle, for example to go river rafting. Daytime free shuttle down to the beach is great and the Chill Out Hut has clean sand, safe swimming, restrooms and restaurant facilities for a lovely relaxing day. After dark it's necessary to make your own transport arrangements to get back up the hill and local taxis are scarce. Next time I might use a rental car for ease of access. But I think there will be a next time.

I booked 4 nights at this "villa" and stayed just one night. From the time of check-in, there were issues. The AC did not have a remote in the room and so they tried to program another one but that did not work. My options were to sleep with the AC on and freeze or turn it off and be eaten by mosquitoes. I left it on and froze (even though they provided a blanket for me). The room is small and the TV did not work properly. After not sleeping a wink the entire night (due to room temperature and bird chirping outside window all night), I decided to book another room that morning and I left rather than stay the additional 3 nights. It was worth losing the $300+ dollars.

I visited with my best friend. Stayed 5 days and 4 nights. We went to celebrate our 40th Birthday. Her birthday was on one of the days we were there. They surprised her with a cake in the room. That was very thoughtful. The staff was fabulous to interact with. The food was excellent. There was at time or two while sitting at the pool that the staff didn’t come our way to provide service of drinks but that was not often. Also while we were there the elevators were down for the last two days we were there. Otherwise we had a great time. I plan to go back soon and will bring others with me.

All the staff were professional, courteous and helpful. Room was immaculate and everything worked. The toilet seat was a bit loose and the radio alarm had the wrong time. Help arrived within 10 mins; seat was tightened and I was shown how to set the time (caused by Mo Bay power cut), perfect! 5 minutes from the Hip Strip and Doctor's Cave Beach (free passes from reception) and at the same time peaceful. We would happily stay there again and recommend El Greco to our friends.

I was a member of a family booking at Riu Montego Bay. Although there were several children and infants in our group, I was neither parent nor carer for any of them, therefore, I took a time out at Riu Reggae Adults Only. The décor and the establishment culture dovetailed with my aesthetic palate and protocol sensibilities; staff were professionally cordial and helpful and fellow guests were friendly. Although the establishment caters primarily for couples, a solo traveler (as I was on this occasion), need never feel lonely or marginalized. My major quibble came from the management's refusal to engage with me on my request for gratuity in light of my simultaneous occupancy at Riu Montego Bay. I hope they make a note of my complaint because I will book Riu Reggae again and I expect to be feted as a valued guest when I do.

I was very pleasantly surprised with this hotel. I was sort of city hopping in Jamaica and I spent my last 2 days at this hotel. I wasn’t expecting anything great because honestly it wasn’t that expensive but the food was really good, the entertainment in the evening was really good, and the grounds were not huge but very pretty. There was some construction going on in the beach area but wasn’t noisy. I’d like to see what it looks like when done.
