This hotel is the best that My Tho has to offer for the money. It is not a year old and the facilities have not been destroyed yet. The breakfast buffet is very good with Vietnamese food as the main choices. Excellent Vietnamese coffee. The Karaoke music down on the street is extreme but doesn't last all night. There is a coffee shop on the 8th floor but hot when I visited as I don't think there was air conditioning up there so I didn't stay I just looked.

Our trip was perfect at Island Lodge. It is the place to go to have a break and avoid the noise of the city at only 1H30 from HCMC by car. The 1st moment we arrived in My Tho we were welcomed by the owner who came himself to pick us from the bus station. The swimming-pool is very relaxing with the beautiful view on Mekong river. Then the restaurant is good quality with both Vietnamese and french food, everything is excellent and I particularly enjoyed the large choice for breakfast ! I highly recommend the Island Lodge hotel to have a privileged moment and relaxing trip while discovering the beauty of Mekong Delta.

I was looking for a way to beat the crowds that flog into Mekong Delta from HCMC with the tours, Then I found Happy Farm! It is the only homestay around My Tho and is located 7 km outside My Tho. It is located in a secluded garden with chicken, horses and puppies. The owners Kjoi and Oanh, with their 3 lovely children, went out of their way to provide me an enjoyable stay. And they succeeded. I had a private tour with Kjoi to the market and the family fruit plantation on Bén Tre, Oanh learned me how to use the herbs from their garden and how to make Vietnamese pancakes. They helped with my bus arrangements to Rach Gia and delivered me at the bus stop which was on a crossing near, so I didn't have to go back to the bussstation.

we stayed here for 2 nights while visiting the my tho-ben tre area. given we stayed in guesthouses and hotels all around vietnam, we would definitely recommend the song tien annex as one of the best values and hidden gems! a must-stay if you're in the area and need western comfort at reasonable prices. pros: - very accommodating and friendly staff - free and secure parking for motorbikes - motorbike rentals available (although it will be much more expensive and have less selection than hcmc or bigger cities where motorbike rentals are more common and competitively-priced) - rooms are very spacious, modern and extremely clean - bathroom fixtures are modern and very clean - good amenities: a/c, lots of hot water, big tv, lots of storage space - nice view of the river - reasonably priced cons: - wireless internet routers are only on odd-numbered floors. we stayed on the 2nd floor and got little-to-no reception. had to go downstairs in the lobby for full internet speeds.

I have been living in Vietnam for 10 years now so have stayed in my budget hotels here. For the price, this hotel is very good. Very clean, aircon worked fine. Friendly staff. Great location. When I see people complaning about bugs in their reviews, I've not didn't see any during my stay... but if you do, do not forget, this is a tropical country, so, sometimes you might see a bug or two. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. Thanks.

I've stayed at the Song Tien Hotel twice . It's easy to locate if your lost due to its location near the various waterways and Lakes . The beds are large and comfortable and the bathrooms are large and clean . The staff are not intrusive, they all seem to be very friendly . They have a good undercover parking area . If you have a decent bike you will often find it in the large reception area in the evening! The guy that looks after the motorbikes is great . He even sussed out a better way to stash my luggage for the return trip and I'm a seasoned Motorcycle tourer . One has to walk up the road in the morning to the Cuu Long Hotel for breakfast but it's worth it! The breakfast is a buffet style with a decent selection . Take your own butter and tomato sauce sachets however unless you Know the basics in Viet . The lift is amusingly slow but the staircase is nice and wide when descending to terra firma in the morning . My Tho prices are about half that of HCMC . I recommend this hotel .

For the price you pay, this hotel is great value. The rooms and clean and big complete with mini bar and aircon. It was an easy walk to the pier to do sightseeing tours and to the main street where due to new year, there was an amazing display of flowers. My Tho is overlooked by travellers and passed through simply to do a river tour and move on. Therefore it can be difficult to communicate with locals as they do not speak english. The staff were very friendly at the hotel as were the local people I met, however as stated..did not speak great english. The only main downside to this hotel is that there is no restaurant or food available so you need to go looking yourself..but hey..that can be an adventure in itself.

We asked the hotel to assist us with forward travel by bus to Can Tho. The man on the desk arranged a public taxi for us to get to the bus station, and wrote in Vietnamese the tickets we required on a piece of paper to show in the ticket office. He said that the transfer would cost 300,000 VDMs as it was 15 kilometres. We thought this a lot and asked the taxi driver to switch on the metre. The metre price was 127,500 VMDs but the driver insisted we pay the price agreed with the hotel. We felt very disappointed with this arrangement as the driver did not assist us to get a ticket in any way.

A stones throw from the river, this place is basic without being uncomfortable. Right next to a busy cafe and facing the main road, the room was fairly noisy. Not a problem if you are used to travelling with ear plugs. A pretty good breakfast place is right across the road and some tasty (and cheap) noodle shops nearby. Their are plenty of independent boat operators around wanting your business, haggle hard for a good deal.

The breakfast included is in the other Chuong Duong, and only from 6am to 8am. Never got up so early but the others said it was only Pho and tea/coffee. My room was at the end of the corridor, and it was very noisy with sounds coming from the street. Stuff was usually helpful. Anyway I gave some laundry for them, and the cleaner man brought it back 7 am knocking on my door crossly until I got up and opened the door!

The Room we stayed for 2 nights is reasonable size. The hotel and the room is clean. We have 3 reasonable size beds. The bathroom and the water are clean. We enjoyed our stay. The minus points are 1)the windows are small, we can really see the outside! maybe this is due the architech of the building !? 2)the other minus point is the vent in the bathroom is extremely noisy. Of course we shut the bathroom door to cut out the noise.

Located 3 km from My Tho. They were very friendly with us, even though we had difficulties understanding each other. We communicated over google translate. The room is clean, but is very overpriced. Right now we have AC, hotwater and western toilet for same price in Vung Tau (Beach Area, with many tourist), in Trung Loung we had no AC nor hot water and no western toilet. The bed is also nothing special. Even though it was a fine experience, it is not worth visiting this area and hotel. There is simply not enough things to do and a one-day trip from Ho Chi Minh to My Tho is plenty of time

Our stay was overall good. The staff were polite and helpful over the two days we visited My Tho. Just be warned if you arrive by bus at Dong Tam, a group of motor cyclists will offer to transport you to your hotel at rather inflated prices. We accepted and when we arrived at the hotel the price was inflated after they argued that we also stopped at the supermarket which was a lie. The hotel paid them extra to "avoid a scene" but we were not happy that the hotel did that and we expressed our concern to the staff.
