The Monteleone is a beautiful grand old hotel in the midst of the French Quarter. I understand that it's still owned and operated by the same family since its beginnings. It is immaculately kept and quite comfortable, in my opinion. Service was very good, and our river view room was beautifully appointed. I will say though by modern standards storage was a bit limited in our base priced double room. Nevertheless I couldn't be happier with my recent stay. Besides for those that stay there, the hotel itself is a tourist destination. Its Carousel Bar, famous for being one of Gov. Huey P. Long's favorite haunts, attracts visitors and natives alike to come on in for a drink and is quite busy. Although we didn't dine there a good friend and French Quarter resident for nearly fifty years gave high praises to the hotel's restaurant. I feel that I got a wonderful deal booking through Agoda, and the next time in New Orleans I would gladly stay at the Monteleone again.

Visited Hyatt Regency for my stay in New Orleans for my birthday. The staff is very helpful, the rooms are nice and the location of the hotel is near the major attractions in the French Quarter. The morning of my check out, there was a fire alarm and everyone had to evacuate the hotel. By the time we got downstairs, everything was figured out and we were able to go right back to our rooms.

This hotel was the ultimate new Orleans experience . Quiet, traditional and with a keen desire to make sure your experience was perfect. Oysters one block from the madness of bourbon street and within walking distance of everything you might want to see and do in the french quarter. Would loved to have had a hot tub near the rooftop pool but that would be the only improvement I could suggest. Highly recommend this gorgeous property

I arrived at hotel to check in 6 hours before check in and shared with front desk that I have some health issues that needed attention. They weren’t able to get me in room immediately as hotel was fully booked on Sunday a.m. of Presidents’Day weekend. However, they did everything humanly possible to make me comfortable until there was a room available about two hours later. For the remainder of my stay they even texted me after I left the building to see if I was OK. Hera, May and Nori are the most responsive front desk people I have ever encountered and I have traveled all over the world in the past 20 years. Please give them a salary increase!!!

The hotel itself was amazing. It was clean, modern, and very nice. My only issue was with Agoda. I had booked a room with what was advertised as a balcony and it ended up a sun roof or something. Basically, it was a front porch but had absolutely no view (as advertised) and when I tried to ask the hotel staff, they advised that those rooms sell out a year in advance. I feel like Agoda did not advertise this room correctly and I had gotten my hopes completely up and expectations high for a room with no view at all. Very unprofessional of this website. Other than that, I have no complaints. The hotel also serves breakfast in the morning and is in walking distance of everything in New Orleans. Would definitely stay here again!

This is a great hotel for someone to visit NOLA for a couple of days. It is within an easy walking distance from the French Quarter, Riverfront, etc., but yet not too close to get bothered at night by revelers. The room on the 4th floor facing the Riverwalk Mall was quiet, comfortable and very clean (with the exception of the coffee mugs). I recommend this hotel, and would certainly stay there again. Super-friendly and helpful staff. Other than the room, I did not use any of the facilities of the hotel.

My wife and I grew up in Mississippi and are very familiar with NO. When I walked into Le Marais, it seemed eerily familiar. After talking with the staff, I realized it used to be The Marie Antoinette Hotel. It was my mother's favorite spot (great location), and I stayed there many times myself, until it got too "tired". It was a pleasure to stay there, well-refurbished and well run, and I hope to stay there for next year's Fest (this year was my 33rd).

Thank-you to all of the friendly staff at Homewood Suites for making our stay so enjoyable and easy for us. The delicious breakfasts were a perfect start to our day. The hotel’s location is ideal for strolling through the French Quarter. Our room was clean and spacious with a full kitchen including a full size fridge; dishwasher and cooktop. Cupboards and drawers complete with cooking utensils, place settings and utensils. The evening social was a delightful surprise. All of the staff were very welcoming and helpful.

A bad start at reception after a 24+ hour travel to start our vacation in New Orleans. Only one of the two rooms we had booked and that were confirmed was actually available. Disaster management from here on in. It took a lot of time, well over one hour before the hotel management approved the only correct action to be taken and they provided the additional room that previously confirmed by them. That was the only issue we had. Travel down town under $20 in an Uber, returning to the safety of a very nice hotel. Not ultra modern, but value for money and clean.

Location is ideal, close enough to everything but away from Canal and Quarter crowds. Restaurant Luke is one of the finest anywhere. The staff were young and friendly and the jazz group Saturday night in the lobby was a pleasant surprise. Room furnishings could be warmed up and the toilet seat in my room was literally falling off. $45 a night valet parking is outrageous. Would revisit if price were right.

Hotel was in the perfect location - walking distance to everything. Canal street, bourbon street, all restaurants, waterfront, and all the popular restaurants are within walking distance of the hotel. Short walk to the trolley on Canal Street will take you to the Garden District and CBD. Room was spacious and clean, and the staff were very welcoming and accommodating. Didn't know this at the time of booking, but it's actually the 5th most haunted hotel in America, so be prepared to see lots of ghost tours outside the hotel and around May Baileys. Unfortunately May Baileys was closed for renovations during our stay, that was definitely a disappointment but I don't believe the renovations will last much longer.

At the advice of my travel agent, Travel Escapes by Heller, I stayed at the Troubadour, a concept hotel by Hilton. I lean towards Hilton properties and I wasn't disappointed. The hotel is in an excellent quiet location in the up and coming Business District, yet is an easy mile walk from the French Quarter. The hotel is remodeled and mod with lots of character. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food was excellent as were creative cocktails. Try the rooftop deck, Monkey Board, for amazing drinks and city views. Top notch and the price was reasonable. You'll be glad that you gave the Troubadour a try.

We were there for 4 days and did not expect that the hotel has a good location. Its near the centre but not really in the centre of Bourbon St, which is really a blessing since it could be noisy around that area. The location is just perfect since you just need to do some 5-10 min walk to the tourist spots. They are also in front of the park. Breakfast is good. They change it up daily and I like the pancake / waffle maker that they have in the dining area. So far, my only complain (since it was also our fault) we forgot to bring hotel slippers thinking that there are free hotel slippers. When I tried to call the front desk, they mentioned that slippers are not available. Other than this, this hotel is really perfect for a budget trip. Oh before I forget, if you're planning on taking the Mardis Gras World tour, unfortunately this hotel is not one of the pickup points of the free shuttle. You have to find the nearest pick up point which is not that far; 3-4 blocks away.

The staff was so very friendly here. The trolley stop was close by and we enjoyed being out from the French Quarter and having the trolley experience as part of our trip. The hotel was clean and quaint. The breakfast was phenomenal! Our room was a little small but it had a second vanity which was very convenient for our family of four. The free gated parking area was a huge plus for us. We never moved our car between check in and check out so never had to wrestle with the parking issue. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to New Orleans!

The room was massive and gorgeous with its own private balcony that overlooked the skyline, and had very clean, comfortable bedding. There were multiple televisions in the room, and the staff was, for the most part, with the only exception being the man that I originally checked in with, very friendly and helpful. There was even a woman working valet that showed us to a close, outdoor parking spot that was free for the weekend, so we wouldn't have to pay the valet fee of almost $50/day, and then she even turned the car around for us, just to help us out! Now that was someone that went above and beyond what we would typically expect. I had taken a trip with my closest girl friends for Halloween, and we all loved it. The complimentary happy hour and the huge breakfast bar that were offered were amazing. It was pricey, I'll admit, especially with it being Halloween weekend, but the location, view, and amenities made it worth it!

I did a lot of research before choosing this location for my stay. It was in the location that I wanted and was a good deal compared to some of the other properties. It was easy to get my car in and out, but was also just across the street from the trolley. They have an excellent pool and hot tub area. My room, which was essentially a studio apartment, was perfect! I would recommend this location to anyone!

First of all, the location of this hotel is very good if you do not want to stay in the noisy French quarters. It's only a 5 to 10 minute walk to the centre of action in the French quarters. We were initially given a room without any windows but the reception changed it happily when I went back down to ask nicely for a room with windows. So, make sure when you book you request for a room with windows. The bedroom is not overly big but it was clean and well equipped - only problem were the thin walls which is okay if you had the air-cond turned on otherwise you can hear voices from other rooms. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fairly average. Overall, we would go back to stay there if we visit New Orleans again especially for that price range.
