"Very large but cosy hotel set with breathtaking views of fells and lake, great welcoming staff, comfortable lounges and bar, and our room had a lovely window seat overlooking farms leading to lake and fell walks. quaint village to wander around, beautiful church, school, pub and general stores, and easily accessible walks beside tumbling rivers and streams and up into the fells - marvelous."

"Perfect out of the way escape in a stunning setting on a working sheep farm. Amazing views all round and great hospitality from the owners. Lovely wool shop next door with items made from local wool. Amazing walking in the nearby area with a heat local pub and village shop in Patterdale. Love to return. "
