We had a truly lovely stay at the Waterside Hotel and it is so good to see that it is on the up once again as it was always a well run Hotel. Margaretta, Tanya and Hilda in the Restaurant were all very welcoming and so professional in ensuring Guests have a very enjoyable stay. We will return.

Pleasant hotel within walking distance of shops, pubs, restaurants and the harbour. Comfortable, smallish room. Excellent breakfast with a vast variety to chose from. The heating could have been warmer - the room was cold.

Day one poached eggs coukd have been bounced on the floor without breaking, black pudding was hard and unbreakable. Day two eggs perfect but rest of breakfast was cold. Day3 chef must have had a hangover as breakfast was awful. We left nearly everything. It was cold, raw sausages and bacon. Just awful. Dinner on the other hand at night was very good.

A perfect example of what accommdation standards should be. Simple yet tastefully decorated, comfortable room. The breakfast was the highlight for me, fresh ingredients of excellent quality, wish I had stayed longer just to try all the items on the menu.
