Traveling to India? Find Ranthambore hotels

We stayed here for 5 nights in order to maximize our chances of seeing Tigers at the Ranthambore National Park. In total the owner organised 6 trips for us and did his very best to get the zones with the most recent sightings. He was always abreast of the latest news there and is mad keen on the Tiger sightings himself. In our safaris booked through him we saw 3 very rare sloth bears, 1 even rarer leopard and a quick glimpse of a tiger.... however,on the last safari we had a totally amazing experience with 2 male Tiger brothers that lasted about 30 minutes. They came so close our driver was fearing for his life because one of them kept staring him down. We did 1 gipsy and 5 canters. All our big sightings were on the canters strangely enough. The staff at the hotel were great, the laundry service was the best we've had in 3 months out here and they cooked us some great meals (make sure you ask for spicy!). There's not much around any of the places in ranthambore so don't let the reviews of its remoteness put you off ; every here is desolate. If you're going for the Safaris and want a decent hotel with good Safari bookings, then this is ideal.

The room was the cleanest ever at our Indian journey, it was so nice. The bathroom was clean, too, and the shower good and hot! The restaurant on the roof top was ok, food tastes good but not everything on the card was available. The manager, Aditya, brought us for free to the National Park with his motor bike, that was very nice of him. But otherwise he tried to make contact to me (female) and was not much interested in my male travel partner.

After our stay at the Hotel Green View we agreed we'd stay there again if we come back for more tiger spotting missions. Rooms and location are probably on par with the competition, but the two things that stand out at the Hotel Green View are the fantastic food (prepared fresh once ordered) and the phenomenal service provided by Vishnu. He offered excellent and honest advice on booking safaris and shopping, constantly inquired how we were doing, and most valuable of all, was a wealth of information on all things tiger. The rest of the staff were lovely too (despite the language barrier). Thank you, Hotel Green View Ranthambhore!

We arrived in Sawai Madhopur at 11pm due to our train from Agra being delayed for 7 hours. Despite the time, when we arrived at the hotel a member of staff was outside waiting for us to help us with our bags and to check us in. The room was a good size and clean and the bed was SO comfy. Throughout our stay the staff were beyond helpful. They booked us two safaris and even brought us coffee at 6am before our morning safari! They were all so friendly and helped us to plan our onward journey and did some laundry that we had. The food was good. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. Good room, amazing staff and good value for money.

I have been travelling to India for 25 years.... and this accommodation brought back many happy memories. Obviously, the hotel has been here for a while, so the rooms were quite small. However, there was enough room for a comfortable bed and table.... and there were lots of the built-in shelves that I love in India. AC/TV have been installed....but it's still a bucket shower, standard in most places not so long ago. However, for the price you pay, I don't think anyone can complain about it. Food is brought in..... standard practice in small hotels..... so you have to wait a little. Again, not a problem. I can highly recommend this hotel.....as long as you do not expect 5⭐ luxury.

This may be a new hotel, but nothing in it is new. For example, my pillow was black with dirt & the towels & sheets were stained & ripped. We stayed in a super deluxe room(s). The finishing of everything was shoddy, even with paint on the curtains & floors. After complaining about the disgustingly dirty bathroom (there was mess on the toilet seat) the manager said it wasn't dirty, just stained. We asked for someone to come & clean it & all he did was clean the floor. We had to clean our own bathroom! It wasn't just the bathroom that was dirty; I don't think the hotel has had a good clean since it opened. The next day the toilet then overflowed & we had to move rooms. We had to ask management 5 times for toilet roll & he just kept saying he would send it in 10 mins, so we waited & waited. We later found out that they didn't actually have any toilet roll & they had to go & buy it. There was also an event going on at the hotel with music so loud it made our room vibrate! We asked what time it was going on until & was told it would finish in half an hour. Of course, it went on for another 3 1/2 hours. These things wouldn't have been issues if we were just told the truth to start with - I don't understand why he kept lying. As is normal in India, all the staff at the hotel were men, but the issue I had was that there were so many of them just hanging around. As a woman, I certainly didn't feel comfortable using the pool & didn't find the atmosphere very relaxing. Also, don't expect those lovely pictures of tigers on your bedroom wall. Of the 3 rooms I saw, none had them. Rock hard beds. Food wise, reasonably priced. One meal I had was really nice, but the other was bought out with lots chilli in despite me asking of no spice & no chilli. However, my husband's meal didn't have chilli so I swapped with him & this was also nice. I would certainly recommend going to the national park as it is beautiful, just don't stay here!

Nice hotel near to ranthambore. A 10 min rickshaw from the station. Not many restaurants around however I think that is the town itself. We found a few in walking distance but the hotel itself also has a restaurant and good food . Room was nice and very spacious. Had a TV which was good! Shower was warm and clean. Staff were very very helpful and would do anything for the guests. We enquired about the fort and he arranged for someone to take us in a gypsy for a cheap price. He also woke up at 5.30am to take us to the booking office and helped us get our boarding passes for the next day. We also wanted to do a safari the following day so he also arranged and we went into one of the good zones. So so helpful. Nice room but the staff really made it for us. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to do the safari.

You pay a bit higher for the convenient location to the park, but still less then most places on the road. The hotel is very basic, a bed in a room. The staff is so friendly and helpful. We got in LATE (the late train from Agra, last everyday as usual) and needed to book two cantor trips for the next day. It was possible with their help. The next day, on our afternoon trip, WE SAW A TIGER AND IT WAS SO RAD. A good option for a cheaper place in a magical area of the world.

One of the best hotels in the city! Clean room, very convenient location, from the station on foot less than 10 minutes. Comfortable bed, near very tasty and inexpensive restaurants. Many thanks to the staff of the hotel, especially the administrator-very helped with the order of the Safari, booked for me the desired area, which I asked. Organized for me a taxi on a very difficult route to a remote area, without him I could not cope! Bought me tickets for a few trains that I needed in the future. Thank you very much to this hotel, this is one of my best accommodations in India! All the advice!

Place: It was a pleasant stay with clean room (but a bit small). The location of the hotel is perfect (Ranthambore Road) with little noise. Facilities: 1.Parking is fine but only 4-5 cars can be parked. I was lucky to have few guests during my stay. 2.Only recommendation that I would provide is to have hot water running 24x7, which is currently available in time slots. 3.Not all electrical socket were working, so the chargers had to compete and participate in Round Robin fashion Food: 1.Awesome!! Delicious food with good price! Bravo!! Service: 1.Very good and professional service.

Stayed at Sanctuary resort for 2 nights with family. Its a nice family friendly resort with spacious and clean rooms, good service, delicious food and excellent hospitality. Resort owner Sharma ji is a very nice person who puts his personal efforts to ensure that your stay at Resort as well as your trip to Ranthambore is memorable. Would certainly recommend this resort to everyone planning a trip to Ranthambore.

I had a 2N/3D Stay at Ranthambore Vatika Resort and I must say that I found it to be just the perfect one. Firstly, the resort is located at a pretty good location. Just opposite to the forest boundary walls and beside the main road which leads to the forest entry and at the same time not very far away from the railway station (around 7 KM). One can easily hire an auto-rickshaw from Sawai Madhopur Railway Station to reach here. The ambience is quite serene. Secondly, there are altogether 10 rooms here at this resort and each one of them is very nicely planned and built within the campus. The rooms are cozy and comfortable. They have all the required facilities like DTH TV, AC, Cold and Hot Water Supply, Nice and Comfortable beds, Sofa, DIrect Telephone connection etc. Especially the bathrooms are quite spacious and large as compared to that of other hotels. Beds, pillows & quilts have good quality linen and are neat & clean. Thirdly, food is also good although there are no option for non-veg items. Veg items have good taste and there are couple of veg dishes available. Fourthly, hotel staffs are nice and polite. Owner Mr. Mahesh is a nice and talented person. He himself is a teacher and has his own school beside running this hotel. He is such a down to earth person! Manager Mr. Devendra is equally soft spoken and well behaved. Same applies for all the other hotel staffs. There behavior is really nice and also they are quite helpful people. To conclude, my stay at Ranthambore Vatika Resort had been just a pleasant one and I would look forward to stay there if I ever get a chance to visit Ranthambore in future. Also I would strongly recommend this to others who are currently looking at this. Last but no the least, thanks to Agoda for listing such a wonderful hotel along with an attractive price option!

The best part of Hotel Tiger Machan Resort is the hospitality by every single person - from the owner of the property , to the room service, restaurant service and the guy with the rabbits : everyone were more than happy to look into the minutest aspect to make us comfortable. The property was clean, had a lot of green areas including a big park surrounded by trees and is very conveniently located close to the gate of the national park but in a very quiet isolated are. We had access to all amenities including a nice clean swimming pool. The food was delicious. Thanks guys, we plan to visit again.

You book a room for really cheap and immediately you have feeling that something must not be right but I'll somehow manage ... hey I am traveling that's most important. Let me tell you something you are in for a surprise. We left around 8 in the morning and after a 7-hour drive reached Sher camp after lunch. I was really surprised by the fact that it is only around 400 mtr from the park gate which leads you to zone 2,3& 4, and to the grand Ranthambore Fort which is not be missed. The minute you enter the narrow gate you are greeted with the smell of mud and are immediately surrounded by beautiful trees and plants. One big drawback is that it is right next to the main road, which has traffic till 8 pm in the evening. A very simple reception area leads you to the huge garden. Their is a big dining area and some 10 + tents lined up very neatly. With an interesting mix of trees like Amla, lemon and fruits the garden seems to be a great place to enjoy the winter sun and also for your evening bonfire under the starlit sky. Tents: It's like glamping without the glamour but very spacious nonetheless. Raised floor and walls are brick, and over them is a very cool tent with an attached toilet. No cost cutting on their furniture and all the pieces blend in very well. Most importantly they have couple of charging ports for all your electronic gadgets along the bed and sitting areas. Kids friendly It's kid friendly place, which allows them to climb small trees and play in the mud and be one with nature. Staff is super friendly and would be more than happy to answer all your kid’s questions. Service and food Service is exceptional and they cater to all your special requests with a smile. Food is made on order. A simple meal will be done in45 min, but if you want to try dishes like Lal mass, Gatta kari, papad ki subzi or jodhpuri chicken they require few hours. Arranging a safari is no sweat and probably anyone you meet in Ranthambore will arrange one for you for jeep

Hotel is good and even the location is Okay. service of the Restaurant staff was extremely good. You don't have much of your choice on the menu as its only Buffet system. Housekeeping in the washrooms needs to be improved. Another important point don't book your Safari through the Hotel as they charge you double the rate I was told that for safari booking they will be charging me Rs.200/- extra pp but they charged me double the amount, it's better to book it through agents who will charge you Rs.100/- pp extra. We decided on short notice to visit Ranthambore just after Diwali. We very much enjoyed our time at Sultacountryside. Grounds are very pretty, the location quiet, the room very comfortable, the food very tasty and the staff excellent. It is not a posh place, but still stylish and very good value for the price. The manager took us with some other guests on a walk in the coutryside. Only 2 small negatives: the AC fan was noisy, which could be a problem in hot weather; and, the buffet dinner food was only warm, not hot.

Great property to stay and would recommend this hotel to everyone planning to stay at Ranthambore for a few days. The ambience is quite appreciable with a pool and a lush green archway of plants that further accentuate it's resplendence. I specifically admired the buffet system. The food was great-had variety and wasn't very spicy. The rooms were big, spacious and clean/hygienic, including the built-in washroom. Also, there was an ample supply of hot water. The hotel location was also very strategic, i.e. on the main road on the way to the reserve. The hotel Genaral Manager Mr. Asif has also arranged the Boarding Pass for Jungle Safari too. Overall, the stay at the hotel was great for me and my family. Not excluding the fact that the staff was very friendly and cooperative and catered to our needs in a very professional manner which is highly appreciated...

i can recomend this hotel to anyone travelling to ranthambore national park to see tigers. the rooms very clean,tidy and a good size,the grounds are very well kept, with no less than about 6 boys doing nothing but cleaning and maintaining the apperance the best feature would be the very helpful staff, especially at reception, they organised anything you wanted, train tickets, safari's,pick up and drop off's i had a late train at 11pm, so they arranged me an airconditioned room to keep cool while i waited. the resturant staff were equally as good, and the food was great, a bit limited as it was off season.

I loved my weekend at Tiger Moon Resort. Its the best place to stay in Ranthambore in my opinion. The staff was incredibly attentive and the food was delicious. My stay was the perfect break from the bustle of India's major cities. I felt safe here and the hotel staff were sure to keep an eye on me as a solo-female traveler which was nice. The staff can connect you with a Safari with very little notice. An entrance to the park is only steps away from the resort. They have a great rooftop area where you can sit with binoculars and watch the animals in the park (monkeys, deer, etc.). They even have seen a tiger from the rooftop!

Giving guarantee of showing tiger they take to zone 10 where there are no tigers and charging money of zone 1. We paid money of zone 1 but they took us to zone 10. Later we paid half the amount and got through zone 1. Tigers cab be seen only in zone 1, 2 and 3. Other zones are just bare jungles and nothe even any animal. It's better to visit Jim Corbett park than Ranthambore at any time.
