The staff were very attentive and friendly; the room was spacious and well equipped; the shower was SUPERB!!; in fact everything was great except 'The Bells'!!!! Every 15 minutes, day and NIGHT. If the weather had been cold enough to warrant closing the windows, we may have not been disturbed as much; but on a very warm evening, we needed to have the windows open and consequently heard every quarter, half, three-quarter and full hour striking - and not just a single BONG but a 4, 8, and 12 note tune, plus the Hour. I mentioned this to the very nice reception lady and was told that the Church had been approached about possibly stopping the striking between 10pm and 7am; but the reply was "Hitler couldn't stop them and you won't either." Obviously a very tollerent form of Christianity. Not. Perhaps that's how wars start?? Such a pity as everything else was excellent.
