"We were walking Camino and took a day of in Sarria. Place is very conveniently located-close to Camino road. Just make sure you will ask for Casa Matias. There is also Hostal Matias and is on a steep hill. That's where people send us and you don't need that after 24km walk. Staff is wonderful but hotel is just basic. It was quiet and we got good night sleep but you get what you pay for. I would definitely recommend it to people who are walking Camino."

"This Hostel is located right beside the Bus station in Sarria. This was our starting point for 5 days walking the Camino and it was an excellent Hostel. The Girl on reception was very friendly and helpful and her English was very good. She was able to give us our Pilgrims passports and also to sort out our luggage transfer for the rest of the trip. She recommended restaurants for dinner and breakfast the next morning. We had a twin room with a private bathroom. The room was spacious and very clean. The Bathroom was great and we were supplied with towels and bedding. We were very pleased with this Hostel and thought the price paid was very good value. I would recommend this Hostel to anyone wishing to stay in Sarria and particularly anyone commencing their Camino Walk from Sarria."
