Refreshing, if i were to put it in one word! While those desirous of the many shopping areas in Thiruvananthapuram, may want to be closer to the city, for those looking for a change and wanting to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city, this is a perfect hotel to get away..... being close to the airport, you really do not need to spend hours driving / travelling to the airport when you have to catch a flight! The green spaces and the cool beach around, are a welcome sight and a sure shot way to 'detox' yourself, if you are looking for a break. The nice pool view from the balcony of the room where i stayed, was amazingly well maintained and the staff friendly and helpful.... If you are looking for some time for yourself, go enroll for one of the various ayurvedic massage therapies on offer at the hotel…. I undertook a traditional Indian oil massage and it felt like heaven…. The sight of airplanes taking off from the nearby airport, was a welcome sight as well.... I will come back for sure!!

We were in Trivandrum for 2 days and stayed at hycinth... I'm not exaggerating when I say "they have the best trained , most well-behaved staff in south India " ... Esp Mr Arun from the front desk. More important, it's refreshing to see a sincere smile at the restaurant every morning 😄 They tried their best to accommodate our needs and a late check out. Very prompt service with the front desk and restaurant staff ... Food is good (not up to 5-star standards) and the buffet spread is reasonable . Clean hotel and good decor. Definitely will be staying here everytime we come to Singapore

Apollo Dimora Thiruvananthapuram This is a lovely hotel, quite modern with clean, comfortable rooms that are quiet at night. A rooftop pool that is clean and inviting with staff that are friendly and helpful. We stayed here for 3 nights to sight-see and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Across the road from the railway station and the famous Indian Coffee House which is a cylindrical building built in 1970 serving tasty inexpensive local cuisine that is a must visit. This hotel is in a fantastic location next to the bus stop and great Kerala-style street food serving chapati, parotha, naan breads and vegetarian foods. Also non-veg too. We're from Australia and would recommend it highly for travellers on a reasonable budget who like the little luxuries like a rooftop pool. After the heat of the day a trip upstairs to cool off is just lovely. We didn’t eat in the hotel so cannot comment on that, sorry. This is a great value hotel in a wonderful handy location.

From breaking fast to dinner all items were five stars level. The staff was extremely respectful and responsive and helpful and professional. Rooms were speck and clean. The view amazing and the surrounding peaceful. I'll go back to this hotel every year from this year with my family. Great job folks!! Keep the spirit going!!! This time it was girls only and we felt so safe and welcomed and treated respectfully!!! I'll recommend everyone to stay here and then go around Trivendrum and it's surrounding👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 God bless!!!

After an initial hick up as the hotel checked us in to twin beds without even asking, and then tried to suggest that we just push them together for us the staff are very friendly. The front office manager was very apologetic for various minor issues over the two days stay and Was very friendly. The general manager however need to learn to smile and made us feel a little uncomfortable. The facilities at the hotel are very good for the price even if the breakfast is a little bit India centric but that is to be expected

I had booked this hotel a few months before and compared to some of the hotels in India that I stayed it - it was a sight for sore eyes when the rickshaw drew up in front of it!!! Beautiful lobby and greeted with traditionally dressed doorman (turban etc). The down side was the sing pool was closed for main thence and the 'sizzling chicken' restaurant on the top floor was also not open. But the other restaurant was - buffet - and it was lovely - all you can eat!! About Rps 500.

We stayed here for a night, mainly to visit the Padmanabhaswamy temple at early hours. The hotel is just 2 kms from the temple. Although in the middle of the city, the street is not as congested as other main streets. However, we noted that the surrounding areas experience heavy traffic during peak hours. So, had to keep 20 mins buffer for the traffic. Kovalam beach is 20-25 mins drive from the hotel. Pool is good and the Garden grill bistro in the ground level is great. Also, it is 5 mins drive to Ariya Nivas restuarant if you want to experience a real banan leaf Kerala meal :-) WIll definitely stay here when i am in Trivandrum next time.

the keys hotel is by far one of the best hotels in the city of trivandrum. it is centrally located only a short walk from the railway station and a short rickshaw ride from the international airport. it is situated within a unique and beautifully shaped building, with a contemporary and classy interior design. the room are quite small, but are fully equipped with lcd tv, an office desk and a very comfortable chair, and both a cable and wifi internet connections. not to mention the complementary bottle of water, coffee and tea, always nice to have while catching up on some work. moreover our room offered great views of the city from the hotel huge windows. the keys trivandrum is the perfect business hotel, equipped with an office centre, a gym, a restaurant and even an entertainment section. i would definitely recommend the keys as it was definitely one of the best hotel experiences in india.

excellent hotel....strategic location....wonderful service by all staff.....reception was really helpful especially Mr. Vishnu.....other service too very prompt and good....great breakfast provided.....I arrived 3 hours earlier and yet they allowed me to check in at that time in the morning....I would definitely stay here again if I were to come Trivandrum again...Keep up the excellent service HOTEL PANKAJ....

The distance from the hotel to shopping or central city area was over 4 k.m. and costs about INR 40 by tuktuk. The hotel exteriors and interiors were great though, which gave me the feeling of nice hotel, almost like 5 stars. The room was fantastic and best that I had in all other places during my trip to couple of places in Kerala and Tamilnadu in India. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant was huge with nice ambience and selection of foods. The restaurant only opens at 07:30 am for breakfast and I found they were very rigid to proviode even take away before the set time. This is something the hotel management to think seriously. In summary, beside the location, it was still a best hotel to stay and explore.

We were delightfully surprised. Be booked because of the good reviews we found on the Agoda site. We were surprised to see things were as good as the reviews. The room was spotlessly clean and very quiet. Just what we needed after a long plane flight coming to India for the first time. Mr. Karteik arranged for a taxi to meet us at the airport holding holding a card with our name so we didn't have to worry about finding a taxi or explaining where we were going. The staff made us feel like good friends. One doesn't find a lot of smiles or simple courteousness when traveling around India but the Royal Heritage had an abundance for us. This was excellent value for the money.

I had an excellent experience with Fortune South Park Hotel last week! I highly recommend it to anyone visiting TVM city. First and foremost, the staff are very conscientious, helpful and friendly. They worked together to help us out from late check-in/out to directions and cabs. Really commend their teamwork, friendliness and customer service. It made us feel most welcome and comfortable in the city. The room was spacious, well-designed and clean. All the necessary items were available and replenished correctly. The central location is great for exploring the city. Very easy to hop into an auto at the front. Alternatively, you can book a cab at the travel desk/front desk at any time. Breakfast was really good. When in Kerala (or anywhere for that matter) best to have the local food cos it's the best. And it's authentic and fresh. We had a la carte dinner one night which was also very good. The hotel is old and has all the charm and grandeur of age. I really liked the feel and design of it. Especially the lifts. Hot water in the shower was a bit of a problem. However, they are renovating so that should solve. Given their attention to detail in every aspect, they will certainly do a good job. I would certainly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone.

I stayed here for two nights and when I walked in, I knew that I would be happy here. My room was spacious, and the bathroom had more space than I was expecting. There's wifi access in the lobby. I really liked that there were water jugs in the hallways so that I could refill my bottle. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The only thing is that the street to there from the train station is a little dark. There's still some traffic though so this wasn't a big deal. Overall, highly recommend staying here!

Three years back, we had booked this hotel for the first time durng our 1st National Shooting Championship in Trivandrum and after that whenever the championship happens in this city, we always book this hotel. In the Center of the city, auto rikshaw stand in the gate of the hotel, local tea and food restaurant in front of the hotel, Xavier’s Bar (for those who like to boose) just next to it, ATM is near by, 100mtrs far from the main road. World famous Padmanabha Temple, Museum and the Zoo, are just 10 mins far from the hotel. Staff is cooperative, facilities are good (like free wi-fi, complementary Breakfast, unlimited free mineral water bottles). you can also order food from outside. Book from any online hotel booking website and you always get a good deal for this hotel.

Hotel was nice and clean. A little far from the city which normally wouldnt matter but as there was a taxi and rickshaw strike this made it difficult to get around. We had to catch 2 buses to get to MG road. Staff were very friendly and always there to help. Breakfast was ok, mostly local dishes which I find a bit heavy in the morning. Pool was clean and refreshing after a hot humid day catching busses! Room service was a bit difficult as couldnt speak or understand english too well, our meals came to our room and were not what we had ordered. Good hotel, would stay again when in TRV Staff go out of their way to help, and is what makes the hotel. All the staff are fantastic and cant thank them enough

We thought Roopmahal is like a Tajmahal but it's very disappointing. We have checked in late at 2300. The hotel room allocated to us was not clean. Saw the bed bugs on the bed. Have made a complain to the receptionist and the reply was " Sorry sir, this is a lodge and not a 5 star hotel". Immediately, the next morning i have check out from this hotel. Wifi password keep on changing and very slow. Had a bad experience. Not recommended.

Mr. Verghese has been really accommodating considering I checked in at midnight. He even asked me if I had dinner! Very homely and friendly place to stay while in Trivandrum. The rooms are very spacious, with sparkling clean bathrooms, beds & linen, towel etc. Thoughtful touches like providing soap & toothpaste were really nice as well! Also, this place is in a quiet residential neighborhood that is extremely safe for solo, couple or female travelers. Mr. & Mrs. Verghese are perfect hosts - and they even served me hot tea as well in the morning. I also used the airport drop option. This is actually a home away from home, highly recommended!

Considering the hotel's 4 star rating, it is ideally located with good facilities. However, breakfast options were more tailored for South Indian segment. The service from the front desk staff were excellent in nature and in particular Mr Akash Keralan extended best service while I checked in late night. Of course our preference for a hotel establishment is based on it's location and facilities but more importantly it is the extreme care of front desk staff like Mr Akash Keralan which would prompt us to choose this hotel during our next visit and also recommend this hotel to friends, family and other acquaintances. I am highlighting the quality of Mr Akash's service so that the hotel management would be motivated to recognize his contributions and elevate him. Truly it is the service of highly committed staff like Mr Akash who would attract more customers to the hotel.
