"We weren't sure we would be able to make it to our hotel in Tokyo seeing as we were landing at about 10.30 pm at Haneda Int'l Airport so we decided to book this hotel. It was a brilliant decision because we were dragging our little boy around after a 6-hour flight and we all needed to just find somewhere to rest. The shuttle bus was very convenient. The front desk staff spoke good enough English and were very helpful. And most memorable was our first ramen meal in Japan at the ramen shop just opposite the hotel. It was super yummy! Rooms were small but that's to be expected. The room was very clean and my 5-year old remembers the JAL hotel very fondly as his favourite hotel."

"Gorgeous traditional Japanese design themes expressed in modern austere style. Every detail polished to perfection. Pictures don't do this hotel justice. Incredible 18th-floor views of Tokyo from within the rooftop ofuro (hot tub), and in the zen relaxation room. A real design triumph. Westerners with little experience in Tokyo will complain that the rooms are too small. Ignore those reviews. Come to terms with Japanese scale and enjoy this oasis. Note that most of the guests are foreigners, many of whom don't know how to use a Japanese onsen. If you are looking for a more authentic local onsen experience, head to a more traditional ryokan (inn) elsewhere in an onsen region such as Ikaho, Kustatsu, Hakone, etc. A note for families: this hotel's sophisticated atmosphere would be wasted on kids. Parents parents might want to opt for something a little more "family friendly" (especially those travelling to Japan for the first time)."

"When we arrived, we realized that our booking put us all on smoking rooms. The helpful staff managed to put us on non-smoking but we still need to stay two nights at smoking rooms as at the time they have no non-smoking room for the whole duration of our stay. We found that the smoking room has better bed with some sort of memory foam or latex foam lining on top. The hotel is about 10minutes walk away from the JR Shinjuku station. For us it is not a long walk and we think it is a good distance but not too far because Shinjuku station is very busy. There are two mini marts and there are plenty of restaurants too on the hotel premises. You can find several more between hotel and Shinjuku station. Rooms are clean, although a bit small as most other hotels in Tokyo are. Sometimes the wait time for the elevator can be quite long although there are six elevators. Our first local tour's meeting place (Yakoso) is right at the hotel and airport Limousine bus can take us directly to the hotel and we can purchase return tickets to airport right at the hotel as well. This is a big plus because we have quite a few luggages. We think this is the most convenient hotel we have stayed. Distance from the JR station is just right and you can find quite a selection of food at the hotel too: Japanese, Chinese, Western, even an Indian food restaurant."

"We stayed there when arrived and left Haneda. The former we paid more but had lower class rooms. For the latter, we paid 10% less but booked premium rooms because of the early bird promotion. Major difference was the bigger beds and very nice coffee machine inside the rooms. It charged as downtown Tokyo hotels with 4 stars. If taking early flight leaving or late flight arrive Tokyo, rather stay there for one night to prevent unexpected issues. "

"I travel a lot due to work and usually stay at 5 star hotels. Japan and Shinjuku was not a familiar territory so we didn't know what to expect with Sunroute Plaza. The hotel turned out to be a part of the best experience we had during the exhausting 9 days of walking (as u know in Japan ... you walk everywhere) for sightseeing. Agoda was great at delivering our additional request to the hotel where our room had no signs of any previous smokers (unlike other hotels in Japan that claim to be non smoking but everything stinks of it) and we got the highest floor as requested. However the double bed we reserved was not available so we got an upgrade to one of the corner suite room. It was amazing. Amazingly big (not just comparing to tokyo but to any suite room in any country at this price ... the room was huge). I could not find a spot dirty or untidy. There was a 52" LCD screen with a full blast home theater set, a dvd player, an ipod dock with speakers and even better free instant noodles to replace the popcorn. The green tea (bags) provided were premium grade, the pajamas nicely ironed were really comfortable and clean. The bathroom is also big where i noticed a hidden heater behind the mirror to keep the fog off (Brilliant!) the tub can actually fit 2 medium size people. The shampoo and soap are all premium grade. there's also a cabinet to hide 2 suitcases. The staff speaks good english and are very helpful. The Bus to Narita airport leaves in front of the hotel 5 times a day (7am, 8.05 am, 10.20am, 1pm, 3 pm) incase you miss it, the shinjuku station (both train and bus) is a 2 minute walk and the bus leaves every 30mins-1hour. We used this train station to go everywhere like Harajuku (3 stops around 5-8 mins), Shibuya (8-9 mins), Ginza (15-20mins). As the hotel is in the heart of Shijuku, it is surrounded by shopping arcades and plenty of restaurants from no star to Micheline stars. Starbucks and Crispy cream doughnuts are at the front door (just climb some step"

"Looking for a hotel is one of the most arduous and critical decisions one makes when one travels. There are so many considerations to be made. In my last trip to Tokyo from the 26th of February to the 4th of March. I found the one hotel I will be staying in every time I visit Tokyo. That hotel is JR KYUSHU BLOSSOM HOTEL SHINJUKU! I absolutely love this hotel. First, the location is key. It is right off the JR Shinjuku Station. Just take the Koshu Kaido exit then turn left and follow the road down. The hotel is less than 5 minutes away in a small quiet alley right off the main road. This is ideal because it makes it quiet. The lobby is big and clean and the rooms are bigger than the average Tokyo hotel room size. The bathroom though is MY FAVORITE thing about the room. I'm actually thinking of redesigning my bathroom to look like the bathroom in this hotel. What I would love though is if the hotel had a small fitness center. The internet was fast and reliable. I love this Hotel!"

"I booked this hotel for proximity to the airport for our connection to Iwakuni. What a perfect welcome to Japan for 1st time visitors from US. The room was spotless with such thoughtful amenities provided. We had our first experience with VENDING MACHINES, which are amazingly all over Japan. The free breakfast was hot, delicious with a choice of several hot entrees. I must add that I had the best cup of coffee ever at breakfast. There are washers, dryers, irons and pants presses available. Full size bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash, along with razors, toothbrush, washcloths, hairbrush, are provided in the room, not to mention other necessities available in the lobby. It's wakking distance (2 min) to train stop but we didn't need to use that. Saving the best for last, those toilets! Love them! Oh, and the room rate is crazy reasonable!"
