"the hotel staff are nice but the hotel is on the main drive through vlora and it's noisy and full of benzene, which is legal in albania. this is okay from evening onwards, since the a/c comes on in the rooms at that time (it's not controllable from inside the rooms) and you can close the balcony door. but earlier in the day it gets hot and you have to open the doors to get air. the noise also extends late into the night, as the steady drumbeat goes on from several places next door to the hotel. the advertising photos of the beachfront are misleading -- it's not "private", and there's actually only a few feet of sand from the wall to the shallows, certainly at high tide, with only a very narrow "doorway" between the rocks out into the water if you're swimming. but the pool, behind the hotel, is quite nice, although the water is not heated. all in all, might be worth the price or not, depending on your perspective."
