Traveling to Japan? Find Yamanakako hotels

The location is up on the hill, so you definitely have to call the hotel to pick you up once you are in Mt. Fuji Iriguchi/Lake Yamanakako St. (one spot)., they'll be there ca. 7-8 minutes and it's for free. We got a room at 554 where we can see Mt. Fuji from our room! The room is spacious although it needs design updates, the bathroom offers you complete amenities. The options for the breakfast is great with 1950 Yen (minus tax). It provides separate onsen indoor and outdoor at B1. Also, it has ice cream vending machine (of course beer vending machine too). Wifi is not so great especially in our room-weak and DC quite often. But who needs Wifi all the time in such a nice location? Due to up on the hill, we were quite dependent on the shuttle bus' schedule from the hotel to the bus station (to Kawaguchiko Lake and etc.). But the hotel will pick you up anytime (not at midnight) from the designated bus station whenever we call them.

We were pleased to find the room very clean with very comfortable tatami. Despite having a common bathroom, the ofuro was very comfortable. The location is slightly difficult to find, but gives you the privacy and space you require with a great view. 3 min walking from yamanakako lake and ICHI no HASHI bus station. If you take the highway bus, please stop at yamanakako town hall (Yamanakakomurayakuba mae), and approximately 10 minutes of walking. And if you take a local bus from kawaguchiko or fujisan station, please stop at ICHINOHASHI station, you will see a small road between an onsen place and restaurant, walk to through the road and you will see the guesthouse on your right.

We only stayed in this hotel for 1 night in a triple room (non-smoking) at a promo price. The price is reasonable. The triple room is spacious. We initially booked the “smoking” room but made a special request for the non-smoking room. Its great that they tried their best to accomodate your special request and we are happy about it. The location is also nice its just along the main road, it overlooks Lake Yamanaka, And its near a 7 Eleven store and restaurants. Unfortunately, they do not have elevator which could be a little issue for those travelling with heavy luggages.

We spent two nights at Ryokan Fujitomita and enjoyed it very much. The rooms were a good size and the view was wonderful (we were lucky enough to see from our room Fuji each day!). The breakfast was good and one night we had a Japanese dinner, which was excellent (they made me a vegetarian dinner). My only negative comment is that the facility could do with some refurbishment. The bathrooms are quite old and the outside could do with a coat of paint. However, I would happily go there again and stay longer.

If you're not able to book this hotel, please change your schedule to fit the dates. The hotel is 4 minute walk to the bus stop, where you can take KABA boat. The room is clean, cozy and quiet, with a balcony to see the garden. The food is incredibly delicious, both breakfast and dinner. And the owner is so nice that he drove us to one of best view spots of Mount. Fuji. Their service made me feel like home, great experience!

Nice place 10 minutes walk a With luggage from the Main Busstop at the Lake. Ryokan with sandalsupply for the outer rooms, toilets and oudside. Be aware to use them and changement them at the changing places. Do not bring any sandals to the Ricematfloor inside and also not transport Dort frommelde other level on socks. Do care About, even of you might do differnt at your home or while camping. Follow all the Onsenrules as well. IT gives discipline.

I came to Yamanakako to enjoy the lake in Dec 2017. Yamanakako Shuzanso got it right from the first meeting. Appreciate a lot the effort to communicate in English! Dinner and Breakfast were sumptuous and delicious. The meals are must have. There is an onsen with a view of mount fuji too. The location is a little remote. There are hotel pick ups, but would be good if you have a car. I managed to catch the Diamond Fuji! That was an added bonus to the stay.

I was a bit worried about the shared bathroom at first. Turns out everything was amazing! It's a distance from the nearest bus station, but the owner picked us up from the station with a MPV so we didn't have to worry about walking to the house at freezing temperature! The owner also sent us out to a bus stop to catch fujikko bus out to kawaguchiko station the next morning. Upon arrival we were asked about our option for bath session, either at night at the property or early morning the next day at Benifuji no yu hotspring where we could enjoy beautiful mt Fuji view with sunrise effect while soaking in the onsen, and transportation provided by the owner (there won't be any buses at 6.30am anyway!) the onsen experience with mt Fuji sunrise is a must try! Dinner was superb! All delicious dishes were served individually according to our own pace. Every was great! Free coffee and tea facilities was available till 10.30pm. Breakfast was also good but would be better with bigger portion. We were there on a supermoon night with clear sky. Mt Fuji was nothing but a magical view with its snowcap reflecting the moonlight! Yamanakako is less developed and the area was peaceful and silent where you can just take your time admiring the view. The house was surprisingly very clean although it's a full house with shared bathroom and toilet. Thought I would struggle with the shared toilet but it was fine as it's clean and people tend to avoid sharing the toilet when someone's already using it I guess. Another surprise was the shared bathroom. It's hotspring water! (No wonder we were asked to choose whether inhouse bath or Benifuji). My parents wouldn't want to try public bath so this bath was actually a pleasant experience for them, they totally enjoyed it. Last but not least, the owner (he looks like the owner, we just assumed and didn't bother to confirm) was sooooo friendly and thoughtful! pleasant, onsen (hot spring bath) provided - either 4 persons sharing a hot bath or a single person to 1 hot bath. The breakfast prepared on request at 800 Japanese yen per pax was excellent and worth the money. From the bus stop, about 7 mins walk from the hotel, take a 20 mins bus to the nearest bus station and from here can take a direct bus up the 5th station of Mt. Fuji (about 45 mins). The beautiful Swan Lake (Lake Yamanakako)is within 3 mins walk fr. the hotel. Free wifi available fr. the 7-eleven nearby.

Pro - Right in the heart of Oshino Village - Very friendly & informative staff. - Japanese room with a comfy kotatsu table & futon - Yukata & green tea and snack - Garden, pond and Mt. Fuji view right outside your room balcony - Public bath (onsen)! - 2-min walk to the famous sakura spot on the bridge - Cheap! considering we paid 4 times more expensive for a Japanese room with Mt. Fuji view at Kawaguchiko Con - No food is served. Not many restaurants are open in the village in the evening. So you've to rely on convenient store (Lawson) food. Not too bad but it's a bit inconvenient.

Good hotel. Nice room. No private bathroom but shared bathroom are used privately. Onsen style bathroom. Kitchen utensils are provided in common room. Staff is nice. He showed us where we can have a good photograph of swans. However, it was too cold. Only the lake that had become ice are seen. Though it still worth to take a deep breath and see the Mt. Fuji and the view of Yamanaka lake in the morning.
