Excellent budget choice if wanting to keep costs down in London”
Excellent budget choice for London. Obviously if you are wanting luxury of swimming pool, fine food, business lounges etc then go book a Hilton , 4 Seasons or Crowne Plaza. Depends on your needs. If you were just looking for cost effective short stay for a clean room, relaxing bed, good shower etc then this is perfect. All for just £38 for the night. Room well stocked with coffee/tea, flat screen, storage, good shower, hair dryer. What is more free parking (I have often paid £8 to £20 other hotels alone) and free basic unlimited buffet breakfast with tasty bacon, sausages, toast, fresh coffee, cereals, juices, eggs, beans, cakes, etc.( often paid between £10 and £25 for breakfasts in London hotels - of course been better but this is still perfect for free). So obviously if wanting longer trip, special occasion then book a luxury hotel (and you will pay for it in London). This is a bargain for the price and can not complain for the price of what is included for London, UK !

Perfekt til forlænget weekend i London”
We had lots of plans for our trip to London, so we just needed a place to sleep. The place was better than expected, nice beds and an decent bathroom. The staff was friendly and helpfull. There was a train station nearby and with only 25 min. to Liverpool Street st. it was easy to get around London. The selections of pubs and restaurants was also pretty good. Finally i found a "cheap" hotel i will use again on my future trips to London.

although its not a 5 star hotel and if ur lookin for such, this is not your type of hotel, it was excellent for us who travelled everyday to central london and started our day with a warm shower and a good bfast and returned to a clean room.

Alright for the price”
This hotel was better than we expected for the price we paid for the double room. It had its own little bathroom and the cleaners were quite friendly. The bed linen and towels were changed everyday, and there was even a kettle with coffee (that was replaced by new instant Ness every morning). The breakfast was kind of early and a little disappointing (you don't get any fruit or veg), but there always are cons. The biggest problem was the internet, which is only available in the reception area, where there are solely 3 sitting spaces (armchair, sofa)for guests of the hotel, so if you want to use it - be quick! Otherwise , there is always the option to pay for BT Fon wireless connection, but that's a little salty price-wise (15 pounds for 5 days). To coclude - staff is nice, hygiene is good, internet is not convenient and breakfast is satisfactory. If you are looking for an alright place to stay I recommed it, if you are looking for a honeymoon sweet - well, not so much.

Good location but very small rooms”
We stayed here for 4 nights. Our room was very small and right up in the attic. You could not sit up in the bed because of the sloping roof, so had to be very careful not to bang our heads getting in and out of the bed. The wardrobe seemed to shake any time you moved in the room so we ended up having to keep the wardrobe doors open to reduce this. There are lots of shops and takeaways nearby which was great. Also the train station was just a short walk away so it was a good base for getting around to see places in london. We did not eat their breakfast so can't comment on the food. Overall it was ok as a base to get around in london, just make sure you don't get put in the attic!

Not what we were expecting”
No bathroom in the room. Neither Agoda nor the hotel website made this clear. For the price I would expect an en suite bathroom. Had to pay to upgrade to an en suite. The room we were given was sweltering hot, tiny, on the 3rd floor (no lift) and had a slanted ceiling so my 6ft 4 boyfriend couldn't stand up in most of the room. There were no bath products in the shower apart from a little soap and only 2 small bath towels. We complained to the hotel staff who, to be fair - were very helpful The room cost it was pretty disappointing as I would expect more for this price in East London/Essex. On the plus side - the reception staff were quite friendly and helpful

Receptionist lady was very rude ”
Citybest gave wrong information and when we got to the hotel the receptionist was very rude we showed her the email and still she not apologetic about anything just plain rude. We booked the hotel in advance too. Never recommend to anyone

Small Rooms and shared bathroom”
The bedroom was far too small for a double, there was no remote for the TV. The TV was not plugged in because the plug socket was broken. Just before going to bed we tried to use the shared bathroom to find a used ladies towel siting on the side of the bath and what looked like small clumps of blood on the bath. I will never use this hotel again and suggest no-one else uses it either.

Absolutely disgusting. I had booked online but admitedly had put the wrong date in my booking details. On arrival at the City Best Hotel, it was drawn to my attention and I asked if I could change the date and book in for that night. The manager was absolutely rude beyond comprehension and what then begun at £31 a night was then told I could stay for £45 but when I then was on the phone to Agooda he spoke to the represensitive on the phone and told them it was £50 for the change of date. He then told me there was only 1 room left which I don't believe. The room was something one would not put a dog in. DISGUSTING

I wouldn't recommend the bed was very uncomfortable. Toilet was not inside the room so had to share with neighbour. Not pleasant at all. Wouldn't recommend.
