We used CityHouse - City Oasis as our base while in Ho Chi Minh city and it didn't disappoint. This really is amply named, it truly is an Oasis in the midst of the city and within walking distance of most of the major sights and attractions.

My trip was with 5 adults, 2 small kids (rent 2 rooms) Plus points: - good location - each room like a studio room with full kitchen stuffs - receptionist staffs friendly. Minus points: - housekeepers very rude, and stingy. Rate 1/5 for them. Only gave few pieces of tissues to use, asked for toilet paper but they get angry for non sense and have very bad attitude (eventhough i gave tip every morning). - Toilet always have bad smell - The swimming pool always dirty, it's just looks nice for taking photos but definitely can't swim. - Can't use the safety locker

Looks clean but cockroach infested ”
The first day I came I was greeted with a large dead cockroach in my room and thought it was only one time. Next day, I saw 2 more dead roaches in the bathroom and when I got back at night there was dead one in my bed. Cockroach poo was present. The bed was comfortable and it all looks clean just know that it is not clean. The bathtub when you stand in it to shower, shakes everywhere. Very strange.

The room was clean however the lobby had an unpleasant smell (fusty) and the staffs were not really helpful, especially the security guard who did not even help guests in parking.

Hotel wasn’t as clean as what they say night slippers was reuse again and super dirty , stated coffee and tea but non was found as for room service cleaning you need to call them to do it or else whole day there’s nobody bother to clean at all I won’t recommended for staying here and I won’t be back again

Decent, not great”
At first I didn’t understand how a place that look so good in the pictures was only a 3-star hotel. Unfortunately, upon arrival, more specifically upon entering my room, it became more understandable. The room itself appeared for the most part, to be visibly clean. However, the room had an awful smell and the tub/shower had obviously not been recently cleaned. Thankfully I only needed the place to unwind for a few hours between flights and didn’t need to spend the night. If I’m honest, I don’t think I would have slept there overnight.

A lot of care goes into the maintenance of the garden and the plants. The pool was awesome. The room spacious and clean and the bathtub was lovely. Also a lot of nice coffee places near the hotel

There were quite a lot of issues with this hotel. i got one of the better rooms.. dont even wanna think of those who got the really bad ones (i read in reviews later on that they have the tendancy to spam fake reviews to boost the stars. OMG) The biggest issue i think the hotel really need to work on is the plumbing.. the drains all seem clogged or something and the water doesn flow at all!! so needless to say we had to shower in ankle deep water and the tub is pretty much useless. water leaked out from the bathroom walls to the bedroom (adjoining the bed side) and there were ants in the room. the cherry on top: staff didnt really seem to know what they are doing.. they call randomly to the rooms to ask for info they could have gotten easily from the portal and we even had a disturbing knock in the morning by a random vietnamese aunty visting their relatives (presumably stayed in our room till we checked in). what? the pool is more of a dirty pond and clearly not for swimming. the tv doesnt work at all. its not really that near the district 1 attractions, only bui vien street is within walking distance which is too rowdy. room soundproofing is non existent . the rooms all share the same tiny balcony strip and there was a pet cage next to our room's need we go on?

located in a good location in district 1 (Safe) but not that convenient for transportation but if we love to stay among local people, you will love this place. Room is just moderate not as beautiful as picture

Great location, was 15min to all the main attractions. Only downside was the shower which had no barrier so water got everywhere. However, great value for money. Would definitely recommend staying here.
