Comfortable stay”
Booked this hotel for my dad since he had business matters near the area. Check-in and check-out was smooth as he told me and the room was clean and quiet even if it was located on the busy street. Free breakfast was ample. He ordered dinner at the hotel and told me it was enough to feed the whole family. Overall, he was very satisfied with his stay.

I chose Citystate because of its location and proximity to the Black Nazarene church. The staff was very friendly and accomodating to our requests. What I did not appreciate was how we were not able to get a good night's sleep because at night time, the building would NOT STOP SWAYING! We all panicked and went down stairs to the lobby wearing our pajamas only to be embarassed by people looking at us. The guard told us that the building was "shockproof" and the swaying was caused by the massive trucks passing along Quezon Blvd. Another issue that irked me a whole lot was that the room, the linens and the towels smelled like semen. The rooms were clean though it's just that the smell was so bothersome. Anyway, you get what you pay for so...

We stayed in this hotel for 4 days. Hotel location is superb if you want to explore the heart of Quiapo and nearby areas. Hotel itself is decent and if you are not too meticulous about small things, you'll have a pleasurable stay at this hotel. The GM was quite hospitable as well as majority of the staff. Only minor issue we encountered was when we requested for a few minutes (15mins) check-out extension, we were bluntly advised that "hindi daw puwede" (not possible), you can extend only for 10 mins. Hahaha, great customer service!! You stayed for 4 days yet they cannot give you an extra 5 mins for your request. LOL

Good Place to Stay in Manila”
Two things I liked about our stay here: (1) the food was amazing, and (2) your stay is a full 24 hours regardless of what time you check-in (ie: they did not have the 12PM check-out time).

Bookings done thru Agoda do not follow the 24-hour stay anymore. Regardless of what time you check-in, you have to check out at 12PM the following day. Unfortunately, the front desk staff was not too good in explaining why the policy was changed. They could not provide a solid explanation about it.

We had it followed for a certain period of time. But due to more demands on flexibility of time, we are happy to announced that we are considering flexible check in and check out again. Nice place, they accommodated us when the wifi in and the smell of smoking in the room on the first night was unacceptable.... the 2nd room had no window on the second night and they changed our room for us... after that, everything was perfect. Staff were generally awesome, but a couple of not so friendly folks. Breakfast included was great!! Location - well depends what you're looking for, but I liked it being easily walkable to the LRT. I would definitely stay there again.

Very kind manager but service sometimes disappointed. For instance you ask for extra garbage can. At the reception they promise to serve that can. But after 4 of 5 times repeating my question in several moments , i give up. No extra garbage can. We had also free breakfast. But it depends who serve you if you get what you ask. Strange to notice that.

The hotel is just a walking distance away from the Quiapo Church! Like srly, it will not take you a minute to reach there. It is best for those who are religious. The facilities and nice, the staff are accommodating. :)
