    best weekend at sagada”

Had a relaxing and peaceful weekend in sagada during our stay at Coffee Heritage House & Hostel. It is located far from the town proper which you would need to ride a jeep going to Bangaan Elementary school where you drop off and have a 8 minutes (but might take 15 mins depending on your phase) walk to the hostel. The ambience of the place is very relaxing and the staff are very welcoming, they greet you always with a smile and you feel that they are grateful that you are there to stay at the hotel, they are very courteous and you can easily approach them if you need anything. The food is excellent! Made as you order, can't forget my first bite of the longganisa and egg dish with veggies on the side, the etag carbonara and also the pork adobo in coffee. We planned to comeback again by the end of the year for i'll be craving for that taste for about 10 months, I was very happy eating their food! the price is reasonable for the taste and quality!

    Exceptional”

Coffee Heritage House is shot up to one of my favorite hostels of all time. The food was delicious, beds soft and comfortable, view breathtaking. It's only 20 minutes (by scooter) away from downtown Sagada, but feels incredibly peaceful and remote. The staff members are extraordinarily warm and friendly. If you need to hole up and work or recharge for a week, the mountain bliss of Coffee Heritage House is the place to go. Note, if you do plan on being in and out on various Sagada adventures each day, I highly recommend a scooter. We couldn't have been happier, thanks Coffee Heritage House!

This maybe the nicest place in Sagada”

It is about 6-8 kilometers from the city center but if you can find a way to get there, this maybe is the nicest place you can stay in Sagada. The food was fantastic the best is it has a free SGD (Sagada) coffee all day. The coffee is the finest you can find in the Philippines... just that you are already a winner. The view of the terraces was fantastic, if i need a retreat i will come here and stay. It is a near Bongko-od falls, but even if you can hike it you need to have a guide and pay 500 pesos. If you can hike this is a nice 2-3 hours. By the way the normal shuttle cost is 400-500 pesos but if you can ride the jeepney it will only cost you 20 pesos, but you need to hike to Coffee Heritage from the Bangaan Elementary School, the jeepney should go to Bangaan... usually you can ask from the center where you can take the jeepney and they will tell you. So its either a shuttle for 400-500 pesos or jeepney for 20 pesos(you may need to wait 30 minutes and a lot of stop and go).

fantastic spot away from the town”

I loved staying at Coffee Heritage Hostel. It was an adventure getting there (it is a 15 minute drive from Sagada town) but it is totally worth it in my opinion. You can really feel you're living in nature there - the only noise is from the roosters far away (I liked that). Air quality there is fantastic as there is a pine forest just by the side of the hostel. The food was delicious. You can watch the sunrise directly from the hostel with a cup of great coffee The hosts were very helpful and friendly. They told us about their coffee farming activities. This was the perfect ending to my Philippines trip.

A comfortable mountain retreat in Sagada”

Before anything else, let me just warn that this is not the best choice of accommodation for those who are going to Sagada to do the usual tours and food crawl. This hostel's location is very far from the town proper and getting there involves a bit of a hike and possibly, hitchhiking if you miss the public transport, which is - to begin with, already limited. So to set expectations, this place isn't ideal for the usual Sagada visitor - most especially, first-timers who are keen to maximize their sightseeing options and weekenders with a tight schedule. On the flipside, this place is more catered to those who just want to chill in the mountains. There are a lot of things to rave about the place - the ambiance, the coffee, the food, the surrounding scenery, the super comfy bunk beds with hotel-grade mattresses, and the chance to learn more about coffee from bean to cup. It really is the perfect place to disconnect, and just be.

Nice place - somewhat difficult to get to”

This place is overall a very nice accommodation. The staff was very friendly and the setting is beautiful. It was however, a bit challenging to get to. In Sagada, there are a lot of accommodations available in town that do not need to be booked in advance - these may be more convenient. We were usually able to get to the Coffee Heritage House via a Jeepney - the locals were all very helpful in helping us figure out what Jeepney to take and where to get off. There are 2 ways you can walk to the coffee heritage house from the main road (after the Jeepney ride). One is via the road, the other is via a path in the woods. The path is shorter and easier to take. Also of note, the Jeepney only runs one time on Sunday, so we had to take a shuttle into town for 400p. They do have a kitchen there where you can order all meals and of course, the coffee is amazing!

    Home away from home”

Exceeded my expectation with affordable price. Great place to relax and enjoy cold weather of Sagada. Near Bomod-ok Falls, about 5 minutes walk to drop off point. Great food. Free Sagada Coffee. Comfy Bed and super clean hostel. The only downside is far from town proper especially if you plan for early morning activities such as Marlboro or Kiltepan Sunrise. Limited public jeepney schedule but you can hire van to town proper for P500.00 one way.

a coffeelovers haven, it's a retreat place away from all the noise of the city. home away from hom”

I would recommend this place to all of my friends, regardless if you love coffee or not... it's a place faraway from all the noise of the city (you just need to travel 4KM from sagada town center, highly encouraged to get there before it gets dark), you can have a retreat and just be silent before God, the staff are so friendly and accommodating...it feels like camping too with the bonfire and marshmallow at night...during the Coffee farm tour,I learned more about COFFEE & i really appreciate the #seedtocup principle of the people behind #SGDCoffee and #Coffeeheritagehouse ...for a coffeelover like me,this place is like disneyland, was able to meet the hard-working coffee farmers like manang mary and manong andrew... the story of how this place came about spoken passionately by Sir Butch... if you really want to see how a coffeeshop does CSR you go talk to the farmers themselves, better than all the fairtrade posters... for the people behind SGD coffee they work together as a family 💜

Cozy, surrounded by nature, awesome staff. All in all, the perfect getaway”

CHH is the perfect getaway for a traveller looking for a quiet place to relax, retreat into nature, and spend hours with a good book, sipping quality coffee, in front of the fireplace. It is situated in the midst of nature, away from the main road, so all you can hear are the birds and the crackle of the fireplace. The house is a beautiful wooden lodge overlooking a valley where you can, on some days, see a sea of clouds from the windows of the common area. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make us feel at home. The food is amazing, and served in generous portions. All in all, I could not have imagined a better place to stay in Sagada.

Perfect for the Solo Traveller Seeking Peace and Quiet”

Right of the bat this place was hard to get to. Try your best to arrive before dark. However the remoteness of this place is what you'll also love here. Get away from the main Sagada district where all the tourist converge and sleep at this sweet little place that is right there in the wood. The surroundings is beautiful. The staff here are helpful and friendly; so many lovely chilly nights by the fire drinking rum and laughing with the guests. I loved this place and I'm not even a coffee fan.

Quiet and Comfy Place to Chill”

Location wise, CHH isn't very accessible especially if you plan to visit attractions in Sagada. But if you prefer someplace quiet and tranquil, then this is for you. Would recommend booking in a dorm room as the private rooms aren't really that cozy. It's located in the basement with cement walls and floors that gave us the impression we're in a dungeon. We asked to be transferred to a dorm room and our request was accommodated. Some staff members went below our expected level of hospitality though. Over-all it was a pleasant experience.

    Awesome but...”

Can't beat the ambiance. The place is perfect if you are looking for a retreat away from the big city. The staff is very ac comodating and friendly. Kudos to the chef. They sell local coffee from a local cooperative in Sagada area and it tastes delicious. I also had my laundry done and it was ready in less than 2 hrs and at a vewry reasonable price. The only issue i had with this place is the location. It is beautiful and away from the hustle and bustle of the city center. However, it is really difficult to get to. Be aware that there is no public transportation that is available to directly drops you off at this place. It is about a 10-minute walk but it is hilly and it may be a concern if you have a lot of stuff to carry. Best bet is to have a pre arranged a van rental at the tourism office when you register for tours. In fact, you can arrange your hotel transposrtation with the same van that did your tours. Also, if you are self- drivingto the hotel, the road is narro

    Best in Town”

If I could give more than five stars to rate this hotel, I would. The only problem we encountered is the "travelling" to the hotel. it's quite far from city. around 20-30 mins. jeepney ride from the town proper plus 10 mins walk to the hotel. BUT definitely worth it! It is basically situated on top of a hill, very relaxing and peaceful. The room is clean and comfy tho' the restroom is shared with the other guests. Food is great as well, price ranging from 280-300 for rice meals. Inadobo sa Kape is a must-have...and their coffee is sooo delish. 👍 Staff is also accommodating and very nice. They helped us book for a car service to Sunrise Peak. Also they gave us free ride to town. :)

very friendly staff out of the box attitude - they will try to provide your request even though it's not in their food or service menu i only find it weird that you dont have your own toilet and bath their location is also far from the city center which could work for you both ways - you're in the middle of pure nature but difficult to reach. either get a shuttle which is worth 400 pesos one way or ride a jeep which is avail only from 7 to 930 am and 12nn to 230pm only for 20 pesos per person and just do an 8 min hike from bangaan elem school to coffee heritage.

    Not Convient to live in!!!!”

The hostel is very far from the main city they calling “Poblacion”. You have to pay 400 pesos for going their. Back and forth! Can you imagin that! Other way you can walk it for around 2-3 hours i’ve try it! “GRABE” very dangerous lots of streets dogs! Or you can take a jeepney scheduled 7am in the morning you will wait on the street. 5 shift in a day. Last trip was if i’m not mistaken 5pm so if you are on tipif mode. Go back early to your hostel or else pay 400 for private transport! The hostel had good ambience the only down side was before you reach the place is very conplicated to passed thru. It was very dangerous to walk or very hassle if you took private car paying so unconsirable price! I will surely go back to sagada. But i will not stay here anymore! Probably, on the main city! Overall, my review in the place is not recommendable!

No place could be more cozy!”

Facility: Very cozy and does not look like a hostel. clean bedroom and spacious. There is no airconditioning (heater) but the blankets were sufficient. Food: Not a lot to choose from but enough to tickle the curious tastebud. Drinks are limited, but the care taker was kind enough to order up my choice of vodka on their morning grocery routine. Parking is not cemented so be careful where you place your vehicle. I got stuck in mud after erroneously running through a soft patch. They had to tow me out. Location is also far from town and the nearby tourist spots All in all, great place and nice caretaker.
