good hotel with great service”
the room was basic and clean. as i read some previous reviews, some of them said that the room was not clean therefore i was afraid at first but when i came there, it was beyond my expectation. the room was clean but basic and i did not need anything more than that. one more thing, there was tropical low pressure when i stayed there. for the safety of us, the hotel did execute us to a nearby resort and they were responsible for the fee at the resort which was double the price at con dao camping hotel. we really appreciate that. i suggest to rent a bicycle to discover nearby places. it is awesome riding around by bike, breathing fresh air as you gaze at the sea, the moutain. in addition, the bicycle rental fee was vnd /24 hours, nearly 3 times cheaper than the motorbike's. the receptionists was friendly, they assisted us carefully with enthusiasm.

Best way to experience Con Dao!”
I can only recommend Con Dao Camping highly. The Rooms are simple, but have everything you need (eg a fridge) and are impeccably clean. Room service daily to clean out sand, change towels etc. The reception staff is extremely friendly, speaks English very well and can help with any request. The site is lovingly made, with green patches and palm trees right at the beach. Everything in town (bars, restaurants, stores) can be reached by foot easily. Everything else on the island can be reached by bike.

Quickly little place in a relaxing setting”
Strengths- Good value for money and comfortable little bungalows. The bathrooms now have roofs so issues with bugs from other reviews arent really an issue now. Limited menu but all very nice. You have breakfast overlooking the harbour to your left and sea/ mountains to the right- lovely. The gardens were well maintained and created a little green paradise by the beach. Downsides- The beach however has lots of litter on (as did all the other beaches on con dao- including the 6 senses one) and the hotel doesn't make any efforts to clean it up which is a huge shame because that would make the beach so much nicer. The sun-loungers also need replacing as many of them were broken. Overall, it was excellent for what we needed and we'd stay there again.

Magical”
Con Dao Camping is a spot of paradise removed from today's world invaded by tourism. The atmosphere is magical, with its modest bungalows 20metres from the beach, its simplicity and tranquility. The bungalows could do with renovating, but are clean (and cleaned daily) and have a lovely feel, with good shower. the staff are friendly and the restaurant borders right on the beach.

Just the basics, but enough”
Con Dao Camping is good if you don't need anything fancy. The rooms are right on the beach. The staff is friendly but they don't speak much English. You can rent motorbikes from them and they can arrange a prison tour for you, but that's about it. The rooms are small but clean. The showers have hot water and the air conditioning works.

Staying almost at the beach”
Overall it was a nice stay. They cleaned the room everyday, there was minibar, aircondition and mosquito net, beach was nice but there is pier near by so little bit noisy and there was some trash also on the beach. Walking distance 2 restaurants with fresh seafood and some small shops with food. Con Dao camping itself offer some food deals, we had breakfast and coffe which was nice. They offer renting motorbikes, we ask about them day before and been told there is no problem but in the morning we didn't get it because they were all rent out:-(

Great location ”
We had a great stay at Con Dao Camping, when we come back to Con Dao we'll definitely be staying here again. Didn't have a problem with rats as another reviewer mentioned so they must have fixed this.

Nice place, good location - all you need on ConDao”
there are several options now for staying on the beachfront. con dao camping is a good & honest one to go for. clean and simple beach bungalow - with everything you need (hot water, a/c, working door locks). prices are absolutely reasonable, staff is helpful but rather limited with english knowledge. beach itself looks great - only drawback is that high tide brings in certain amounts of litter from fishing boats etc. better to rent a scooter (hotel staff will help, its super cheap) and drive off around the island to see the unspoiled beauty). breakfast is rather basic only and needs to be ordered in advance. better go the local market and buy your own fruit etc and grab a coffee / pho somewhere in downtown.

hard to fault for budget accommodation”
The location is idyllic, at least by initial vision. The rooms are quaint and perfectly adequate for a beach trip. The breakfast is superb. The staff are very helpful and competent. This is our second visit; any further trips to Con Dao will see us head back to the same place. The rubbish on the beach is disconcerting and this is a definite negative but almost certainly beyond the resort's control. There needs to be garbage collection on the jetty.

Great little place”
We've stayed here before and would stay here again if we were to visit Con Dao. There isn't really anything on site as far as entertainment or eating is concerned, but there are quite a few restaurants across the road. The rooms are clean and cosy, the AC and wifi work. The staff are lovely. There was a huge storm in Vietnam when we stayed this time. Water from the mountains flooded the whole site so they relocated us to a hotel across the street. Really can only say good things.

4 days in Paradise”
I had a wonderful time, in fact I didn't want to leave and the amazing staff helped my to change my flight and extend my stay. The place is fantastic, very quiet, the nature is overwhelming. The people in con Dao are really nice and always willing to help. I am looking forward to going back.

The pick of the budget resorts”
This hotel is right on the beach and provides easy access to the dive pier, only a 5 minute walk away. There are some very average resorts on Con Dao that charge a lot of money, Con Dao Camping is not one of those, it does what it says and charges a realistic amount. I have returned and will continue to do so as it suits my needs perfectly.

Great beach-front property ”
Con Dao Camping is in an excellent location, right on the beach and in walking distance of town. The staff, some of whom speak English, are friendly and helpful. Beach-facing units are far superior for not much more money.

Amazing island- great budget option ”
We loved the island! Such an undiscovered gem. And con dau camping is a great budget option. The room was nice, the bathroom was fine. The beach is lovely- just watch out for sandflys! The staff were really helpful and fun. Breakfast was fine. I would recommend this to anyone!

Million dollar view for a low budget”
Picturesque view right on the beach. Con Dao is beautiful, peaceful. Staff of the hotel was very friendly, however some customers seem to think different. They were very helpful with us and tried their best to understand our needs. Beware of the sand flies though and go prepared, as the itch will drive you crazy for days. You can search for recepies on the net to prevent them from biting you. Take the chance to hire a motorbike for the day to explore the beauty of this island.

Good value for money !”
Our overall experience was good with Con Dao Camping Hotel. Their location is very convenient and staffs are exceptionally attentive. However, the hotel should invest a little bit more to improve their facilities, as well as to clean up the beautiful beach infront of the hotel.

Beautiful location, right on the beach”
The houses are clean, with a/c and hot water. The beach is 5 meters away :-) Take the bungalow with sea view its beautiful! The beach itself is nice, but beware of seaflies - I don't know why, but on other Con Dao beaches we didn't find any of those seaflies, who bite, only on this beach.
