Good location”
The F.O staff were sympathetic but not in any positions. Room is little old, blistered wooden floor, keycard not working well, the soundproofing need improve, bathroom is quite narrow. There is an airport shuttle service. Breakfast is also quite good with many dishes but the chef attitude standing egg counter isn't welcoming. The swimming pool is a bit small and not clean, in return, An Hai beach is very beautiful, white sandy beach and clear blue sea, private beach is a plus. Resort is located in the center, in front of, you can rent a vision motorbike with 150000VND/day to explore the island.

Beach front Hotel”
The hotel was one of the older resorts on the island but had beach front access. We stayed in the older wing so the rooms were dated and needed some upgrading. The facilities were adequate and the breakfast was plentiful and tasty. There's not much to choose from in this price range so your choices on the island is very limited Overall we had an enjoyable time.

This is the 2nd time I stay in Con Dao resort. I love location with very nice private beach. Limited choice for breakfast, dinner at restaurant is reasonable but the light at restaurant need to improved. However, I was very disappointed with attitude of a receptionist named Khanh Dat. When I checked in, even I show him Agoda booking ID, he kept asking for Agoda voucher. I tried to explain to him that, because of environment reason, Agoda stop issue attached voucher. He refused to understand, asking me to forward email and keeping mumbling about voucher. I booked Deluxe Seaview Queen and expect there is a queen bed inside the room. But when I opened the room, I realized that there are 1 queen bed and 1 single bed inside the room. I asked the receptionist to change because we are couple, we don't need many beds in the room. The guy said one bed is queen size, the other bed is complimentary for me. I really don't need this kind of complementary. After that, he offered to change 1 room, the other room keeps remain. My booking is 2 rooms, who will stay in the uncomfortable room? That's why I have to accept to keep 2 rooms with 2 beds inside. Main issue here is the attitude of the receptionist. He communicated with me in unpleasant way and made my first day become terrible.

I booked Con Dao resort for two nights from April 19 to April 21. A month before arrival I had phoned and emailed the resort four times totally to reconfirm my booking. I even mentioned that I had already paid my room fee to Agoda and the hotel staff said everything is fine and confirmed. When I arrived they asked me the receipt from Agoda which I didn't have as I need a computer to access to my email. The receptionists said they could not check in for me if I didn't have that receipt and thats my fault. I thought they were unprofessional and a bit rude. After I protested they let me in. My room wasn't cleaned properly that the tea cups weren't washed after I had used the day before as well as the hand basin. The food was too sweet and greasy. There is no sign that says "No swimming togs inside restaurant" so I came straight to have breakfast from swimming innocently and the staff told me to get out. I thought that was rude and unprofessional. I would never go back there.

More of a place for locals, as a foreigner that speaks viet I felt like an out sider more than already usaully do. Security was kind of rude when I parked my motorbike in the designated parking and demanded to see my room key to prove I was staying there. Besides that everything else is kind of basic. As I'm writing this I'm staying a way nicer and cheaper resort that's super friendly just down the road from con dao resort, named orson resort.

Really nice beach & good location but the facilities not really good as it should be. I stayed deluxe twin with sea view but too noisy by the compressor. Technician came & check then inform noise from the toilet ‘s fan. But i surely know it’s not true cause i tried to turn off the fan but the noise is still same.

The best place to stay on Con Son”
any traveller to con son island who wants to be able to get around the small town independently & easily should stay here -you can walk to town easily. the other resort (six senses) is too far away so you are quite isolated. at night, from con dao resort you can easily walk to great local seafood restaurants. our favourite was across the road & towards town a bit. we had a marvellous time there meeting locals, selecting our own seafood & enjoying the 2 minute walk home in the balmy evening. the in-town resorts have limited beach access (no sand at high tide).con dao resort has beach access & nice sand. you have to ask for towels for the pool or beach, but that's not difficult is it?

Original Vietnamese fishing village - so far ”
Con Dao island is still an original and unspoiled rural area but there are threateningly great plans for its glorius future as a new Nha Trang. So if you want to visit the island, do it now. Con Dao Resort itself is a sympathetic hotel with a superb location and some issues to deal with: Breakfast was quite modest regarding the sortiment available but the Pho soup was very tasty, though. The bar was closed too early, around 10 p.m. Some of us stayed in the so called communal houses, which proved to be like Norwegian mountain cabins (Norske hytter) with a more or less open bathroom under a pine tree. They were exotic and quite comfortable with a location near the beach but not what you expect of a communal house. At least there should be pictures of the rooms in Agoda's website. Anyway, we do not complain, they were pleasant to stay in, as was the whole resort with its friendly staff. Our youngsters complained of a very slow WiFi.

Staffs are very friendly. Room is very clean and comfortable. their public restrooms are also clean. Honestly, my friend and I are very satisfied with this resort. If we have chance to come back Con Dao again, I would spend my night time at Con Dao resort.

Exceptional”
Great property and location in Con Dao. The staff kept the grounds and beach very clean and were very helpful. I thought it was unusual to hold our passports and ID's until we checked out. Great pool and wi-fi was sufficient. Location is far enough away from the central district, but walk-able and there are plenty of open taxi's, even in the off-season. We'll definitely return here in the near future.

Clean & private resort”
First time been to Con Dao island and I love eveything there included the stay at Con Dao resort. Although the resort opened long time ago but recently renovated so it's new and clean. Staff was nice and helpful. The private beach was clean & quiet. Easy access to the city center (only 10 mins walking on foot or 3 mins by taxi).

Beautiful View, rooms not to par....yet.”
we had a 3 night stay at the con dao resort. the room we stayed in was small and cozy with a beautiful ocean view through. the room was fairly clean but not to us standards. the windows needed to be cleaned and the walls needed a good white washing as they were full of stains. we had an ant infestation in the bathroom, which generally was not bothersome, but may have been if we ate in the room. the air conditioning worked well and provided excellent cooling power although, it started to make bizarre noises on the third night. the grounds and swimming pool were nice and well kept except for the pleuthera of trash grouped in the bushes near the outdoor pavilion. this hotel was an "almost but not quite ther yet" type of hotel. it has all the makings to be an excellent little vacation spot.

Basic, value for money”
This hotel was the best value for money on the island especially compared to six senses which doesn't even have as nice a beach. This resort was very basic but comfortable enough for the price you pay. Con dao island is pretty basic and rustic on a whole and can be fully experienced within a few days. 3-4 days max. Great for nature.

Nice pool, comfortable beach”
A nice hotel with a great pool and beachfront. The shuttle was waiting at the airport for us with name in hand and left within minutes. Check in was smooth but hotels here like to hold your passport during the stay, we requested them back and they just made copies without any problems. Breakfast was fine, with omelette and pancakes sometimes for the Western palate, with noodle and rice based dishes for the Easten tastes. The room had a comfortable balcony and the bathroom was modern and clean. The drain would clog up quickly and housekeeping did not clean it. The staff had some English ability but sometimes communication was unclear but patience helps. The motorbike rental across the street is good, check everything before you drive off. Con Dao is simple and beautiful.
