Relaxing resort with great views”
The quiet location makes this place perfect for relaxing... and diving. The rooms are very nice and are all facing the sea, some are in the lower part of the graden directly by the sea and some are up on a cliff right next to the restaurant. We stayed in one next to the sea. At night all we could hear were the waves rolling in, I slept like a baby. Up on the cliff the views from the restaurant and bar are just beautiful. The owner and the staff are all very nice and helpful. CBC is a Sea Explorers resort and diving is the main activity. The rental equipment is in good condition, the dive guides are really good in spotting the macro life around Cabilao, the dive schedule is well set up, the dive boat is really comfortable and the boat crew was great. All in all, I would definetely stay at CBC next time I come back to Cabilao.

Beautiful location, wonderful staff”
Loved our stay at the Cabilao beach club, very relaxing, nice wicker chairs at the beach which has some snorkeling out front. Rented the motorbike which was mt an old bike as reported by someone else, and saw the island. Concrete roads, on many sections. This hotel is on it's own, the Polaris resorts is about 15 minutes in the bike so you have to eat at the resort all the time. The food is great but a bit pricier than anywhere else we stayed in the Philippines, so are the drinks. You can find little local stores a short walk away where u can get water and beer for cheap. Massage also more expensive at 850 pesos, bike is 500 pesos for 3 hours but u don't need it fir any longer. We stayed in the economy rooms at the back of the resort which have a good air con and a fan. Closer to the road and some bike noise but quite private. Watched the fireflies at night in the trees outside our room! Also toured the deluxe rooms for for 4700 pesos or around $140 Canadian, they were beautiful, balcony with a stunning view right over the water and I think includes breakfast, would be worth the splurge. Definitely recommend this place. Have to get a bangka boat to get there but it is only 15 minutes and cost us 400 pesos to get there, easy to rent one from Moc poc pier. We paid only 250 on the way back from the villagers which are located right close to the hotel, just walk to the pier area. The hotel charges 450 pesos for transfer. Loved our stay!

CBC tries hard but I have mixed feelings”
Cabilao Beach Club - CBC tries hard but I think its just a little over priced and not worth the trip out to Cabilao. The Good: I stayed for 3 nights with GF in the Hammerhead room, about 100 dollars a night. Perfect day, sea breeze, sound of the ocean really nice. We stayed in the villas and it was really nice looking down on the ocean with such a beautiful day. Everything was great. The Diver center guides are good and the dives were very good. I did 4 dives. All 4 were good dives. Stunning coral out there. The Bad: The food is crazy expensive. Think 2-3 times Alona Beach. Service of food was not good. For example, one day everyone came back from diving about 1pm and ordered food. It took more than an hour for my food to come. The diving is also pretty expensive. Its the most expensive diving I did in the Phillipines. As is renting a motorbike, 500 PP for 3 hours. Its just a beat up bike they get from a villager. Overall: Honestly, going to Cabilao island isnt really worth it. The diving is pretty good, but if the weather is great, diving the islands off Alona beach is just as good and much cheaper, far less hassle than coming out to this far away island.

Great relaxing place with wonderful staff”
Excellent help to arrange transfer, very nice staff both cleaning, restaurant and dive center. Always ready to help with anything (we needed a usb stick and they quickly arrange to have one bought for us and delivered at the hotel). Nice very quite surroundings without cars, only some motorbikes. Fun to take a walk on the island in the afternoon when the sun was not so hot, lots of small kids that yelled "hi" and "hallo" and wawing to us everywhere on the island. Lots of goats, roosters and other animals outside the small simple houses and a small beautiful lake on the island. An excellent place if you want to have good well arranged dives and like beautiful corals and small animals to look at, not that many big fishes. Also good for relaxing but if you want to have party and many restaurants to choose from this is not the place for you. You only have the hotel restaurant to go to but the food was good and the prices not too high either considering that there was no alternatives to go to.

A little peace of heaven ”
Simply loved this place. Dive resort, connected to Sea Explorers. Located very isolated, not much to see on the island. Stayed there for a few days, total relaxation. The food was fantastic, you could possibly eat elsewhere on the island, but because the food was so good, we chose to eat at the hotel every day. You pay approx. 400 pesos for a main course, 200 pesos for starter or dessert. Beer costs 90, drinks about 160. Breakfast selections were a bit limited, but we were not many at the hotel, so can understand they will avoid wastage. Tasted nice, try their omelet with bacon / cheese, yummi Massage cost about 950 pesos, did not try. Smiling friendly staff, attentive without being too much. Bring money, especially small notes, as they do not have the opportunity to exchange money. You can pay by card, they do not charge for this. The rooms are large and we had a balcony with great views. Good cleaning. Sometimes a little flaw in communication, but after all, we are abroad, so that's to be expected. We paid 3500 pesos for the airport pick-up, then we went to Anda beach, which we paid 4800 pesos for, a little expensive, but easy and fast.

It was fine, but nothing great.”
Some rooms are on the beach, but those are not the best rooms of the house. The rooms on the beach are next to the very cute dive shop and a long lovely strip of grass lined with palm trees, but you have to go up two flights of stairs to get to reception, the restaurant, the bar, the spa, etc. The lounge chairs and other furniture are in very good shape. They will offer you motorbike service if you're not up to walking the stairs. They have a German chef and change the menu daily. The manager girl is super sweet and will bend over backwards to please you. The waters in front of the resort have quite a bit of trash in it, but they keep their beach spotless. The bathroom in my room, Gobi, smelled strong of urine. I was only in it one night, so didn't sort out what the problem was. The bed was comfortable and the room had plenty of lighting.

Most accommodating staff ever! ”
From the the time I booked our stay with this resort the staff was wonderful. They assisted us with transportation information and also sent a boat in the middle of the night to pick us up from Mocpoc pier. A person in our group had been injured in Cebu and required lots of help to get around and the staff were all extremely accommodating and graceful. They made us all feel as though at home. Overall the resort is beautiful and peaceful and the staff are all beyond amazing. I will definitely recommend this place to others!

After being at Alona Beach. I found Cabaliao to be a great place to unwind. The scuba diving was great. The dive staff was very friendly and helped with all our needs. I would go back tomorrow if I could.
