Wonderful CoTo”
Coto Eco lodge is about a 10 minute drive outside of the town. It is clean and well looked after. The owner Mr. Minh is deeply accomodating and his staff are also wonderful. We came to the island in the of season which meant we had streches of openy sandy beaches with nearly no one else to be seen. There are at least 3 larges beaches spread out across the island which are easily reached by a motorbike which we rented from the Eco Lodge. In true island style you can casually ride around the island, leaving it where you choose, stop in for a drink at any number of small cafes and enjoy the beauty of a very special place. We spend 4 nights on Coto, during off season. Minh the owner was very welcoming and made us really feel home. We had nice dinner with home he is a very good chef too. During winter season there is not much to do on Coto. Minh arranged scooters for us so we could drive around the island, on another day he arranged a fishing and small island trip for us. In the evening the owner prepared the fish for us which was super tasty. Overall it was a very pleasant stay there i would go there again. Ps. Make sure you get in contact with the lodge beforehand so they can arrange pickup for the pier for you.

A place that you won't regret selecting!”
We were a family of five adults and a one year old arriving on Coto in the winter just prior to Tet Holiday. Our host Minh and his family were very friendly and accommodating. He provided special services of meeting us at the ferry dock, touring us to the Lighthouse walk and the rock gardens area on the coast, including us in his fabulous dinner celebration for Tet, and returning us to the dock to catch the one ferry of the day. It is a short walk to the beach from the lodge and one can either walk along the beach or on the parallel small road on the dune crest . It looks like it would be a delightful place to swim in the summer. The lodge itself is in a regular neighborhood with many other homestays but no other ones seemed to have guests at this off season time. We were fortunate that the Minh also cooked for us on our second evening as he is a fantastic chef.

Just leaved… but promise myself that I will come again… this lovely homestay. A curved gate with flowers beautified, a pool with fishes that I fed them at lunch, a corner for coffee time, a clean & fragrant bed that I could sleep well, a lovely host who treated me so well… all of them made me more than happy. With personalized imprint of the host, Coto Eco Lodge impressed us by the spirit of the home and the love of the host in every corners. I was really touched! Design is in minimalist style, emphasizing the convenience and cleanliness. Outer space is well decorated with paintings and trees and flowers. Host namely Minh is an interesting guy with stories about Co To beauty, Co To life and travel experiences.

Heading to Co To with no info beside the address of homestay I booked, but Co To was really impressed us. Staying at a small charming house, enjoying the local fresh foods made by the host and lying all day at the nearby pure beach, we needed nothing for our vacation. Voted voted voted 💪💪

That’s exactly a hidden gem inside the sleeping beauty Co To island. Tiny but charming, private but warm, that’s what I feel when staying at Coto Eco Lodge. Wonderful place to hide away from crowded cities, where I can live in the village vibes, walk to the beach, ride a bike all around this beautiful island.

Let’s talk with Minh to know anything in Co To island. Let’s stay at his homestay Coto Eco Lodge to experience the local life, local foods and beverages. It was full moon on the night we arrived and Minh took us to the beach to see the moon dancing on the waves, then we took a boat to go fishing around. Late dinner at the beach with fishes and squids grilled on fire made by ourselves was an unforgettable experience.

Surprised dinner at Coto Eco Lodge”
Remember to contact the host before coming and he will arrange the perfect trip for you. The limo driver picked us up at hotel in Hanoi and dropped us at Cai Rong pier. We spent 1 more hour in the express boat then picked up at Co To pier by the host. Homestay was quite new and clean, well decorated with trees, flowers and pictures. We rented a motorbike to discover island following his detailed guide book and it was so amazing. We were pleasantly suprised by the BBQ dinner with our country Kimchi prepared by the host. Thank you for taking care of us!

Co To was the last destination of my trip in Vietnam this time and it was really relaxable. I found out Coto Ecolodge on Agoda at a very reasonable price and Ecolodge was beyond my expectation. This lovely homestay located in a quiet village and 300 meter far from the beach. Room was clean and full of facilities. Host with excelent English and hospitality recommended us all the beautiful scenery in Co To. Will recommend Ecolodge to my friends for sure.

Very interesting days in Eco Lodge after 3 days stay in Sa Pa. No more over crowded touristic, no more being in small & old hostel, we definitely relaxed in the lovely space filled with the smell of the sea. We even stayed all day at the Lodge to drink coffee, read a book, talk with the host and cook our dinner. Feeling full energy when staying here.

Elegant homestay”
Elegant homestay in a small village, nearby the beach. That’s exactly what we need for our vacation. At this fishing village, it was the first time I’ve known that the people can use their legs to control the boat. Squids scintillacted when being catched and quickly became the best ingredient of spaghetti. We even ordered double and the dishes were empty immediately. The chef, and the host at the same time, taught us how to make sashimi in the fishing tour next day and it become an easy game for us now. Nice homestay, nice place to come.

Bigger BBQ next time - Guaranteed by Host”
Second times been to Co To and we still chose Coto Eco Lodge for staying. Lodge was fix to us: warm, clean, private, beach nearby, fresh food. Our favourite place was the terrace on the 2nd floor where flowers were blooming in the spacious space. A small library there and I spent all the morning for “The quiet American”. This time, Minh made a big and fresh seafood BBQ for the dinner and guaranteed that it will be bigger when we come back next time 🥳. Good guy!!!

Meaningful trip in Co To island ”
The warm, clean and friendly homestay. Room is a bit tiny but comfortable, outside is well decorated with green trees and pictures drawn by the host Minh. We experienced 1 day tours to discover the best scenery of Co To with Minh and we cleared the trash on the beach altogether this morning. So meaningful job for our 5 & 8 years old sons.

It turned cold in the day we arrived Coto Eco Lodge but we discovered another beauty here. That was the beauty of silent beach, the beauty of absent tourists and the beauty of hotpot flavor in the winter. Minh was not only an excellent host but also a great chef - He picked us up at Coto pier, recommended us all the highlights of Coto and prepared a yummy hotpot for the dinner. He even helped us to arrange the very reasonable itinerary of our next destinations Ninh Binh and Ha Giang Loop. Really appreciated 🌿☘️🍀
