Our stay at The Tirana International Hotel was what we expected, the staff were very polite and very helpful, our room was on the eighth floor to the front and the view across the square was fantastic but not so good at 5 o clock in the morning when the mosque kicked into life, what a noise at such an early hour,if I stay there next time I will ask for a room at the back ...

First, one must know that Albanians have very little experience on western style hotel management because the country was closed to the world. These people were trying to do their best but that was not enough. The hotel has running cold and warm water, what some other hotels in Albania might not have. Some rooms have their own air conditioner but some other rooms like ...

Himara is small town and everything is near. Stairs to the appartmant are butifull and little bit of exercise after wonderfull Albanian food was just what we needed. Appartemant is clean and large. What we missed as facilities was delivered by our host imediately. Mr. Pandeli helped us with everything... car park, choose the best trips, help when the little one had ear...

Edoardo is a fantastic host.He could not be more welcoming and friendly. The apartment is a short 5 minutes walk from the centre but up in a quiet area with beautiful views over Himare Bay. The apartment is new with a large air conditioned lounge and modern bathroom. There is a balcony and kitchen. We were so impressed with this apartment we will return next week for a...

we stayed in many hotels in albania this year and the airport hotel tirana was by far the best. this is no exaggeration. the staff was courteous, smiling, and totally professional. the room was perfectly clean and quiet with every accessory you could ask for. the cooking was fabulous. i probably sound like i'm in the employ of the hotel but i'm not. after the carelessn...

We enjoyed this place at it was conveniently located next to the new walkway on the quay and in walkable distance to the cty Center. The rooms are very nice, simply furnished, extremely clean and large. The breakfast was served outside next to the hotel bar and we enjoyed bread, eggs, jam, cheese and vegetables.

The hotel is conveniently located in the center of Tirana. Parking is available in a small lot next to the hotel. (They will move cars if yours gets blocked in.) The beds were on the softer side but still softly firm. Good quality. Great shower. The breakfast was good, aside from the slightly dreary basement dining room. The worst part was payment. I booked on Agoda an...

Very nice hotel in Tirana. Great facilities, friendly staff, well-priced rooms. There was a good breakfast every morning. The hotel is about a 20-25 min walk to the city center which was the only down side. The area around the hotel is very nice with easy access to lots of restaurants/bars and a large park with lots of walking trails. The staff was very helpful and wer...

I spent one night at the hotel as I had an early morning flight out of Tirana. I was very impressed by the front desk staff - they were friendly, helpful and quick. The hotel seems to be brand new with amazingly comfortable rooms and very elegant decor. Would definitely recommend staying.

The air conditioner of the room I originally booked wasn't working, and the staff didn't know until I feedback and he didn't seem to know how to fix the problem either. I went out and came back late at night hoping to have a hot shower before resting, only to realise the toilet light wasn't working at all and I didn't bring a torch with me on this trip. Room is cheap, ...

A pleasant hotel in a good location and not too far to walk to the castle. Breakfast is reasonable and the staff are pleasant and speak good English. There is a rooftop sitting area with great views over the city. The roads around the area are being re made and you cannot drive to the hotel but have to park nearby and carry/pull your luggage over the cobblestones to...

We stopped for one night at Hotel Alpin near the top of Llogora. The hotel is nice, staff is friendly, and facilities are good. It's a good location to spend a night or two In the middle of the hot summer; in fact it got cool in the evening. This is a great location for the travelers that are headed further south and want to avoid driving down the winding road at night...

It's a new hotel, very neat and clean, very lovely location, very close to the Opera, national historic museum and skanderbeg square. Many restaurants and food shops are at a stone throw distance from the hotel. The new bus station of Tirana is just 8/10 minutes drive from the hotel. This hotel manager cum CEO has given us a fantastic services to us. They provided us f...

Good stay but tthe breakfast needs a serious upgrade for a hotel of this price and quality. Get rid of the rid cheap plastic wrapped 'kiddie' cheeses and the terrible tepid instant coffee, PLEASE! Add a few items to show off excellent local prduce eg fresh fruit, decent local cheese, better quality deli meats. Easy! Visitors do love breakfast; this was the only area ...

Value for money doesn't get better than this. It may be tricky to find, but Dream Hotel is a short distance from downtown Saranda, yet is positioned in the middle of a cove with its own beach area. Upon it they've placed hammocks and four poster beds, all in stunning white. And it faces right across to an island, where sailboats and cruise hips pass by in the distance....

We took a room with a private bathroom but we were given an external bathroom where we told it would be exclusive. Then when we wanted to use the bathroom it was being used by others. The washing machine and dryer was also not for free and we had to pay for it's use although advertised differently. There was a cigarette smell in the room as well, although we asked for ...
Cheap places to stay in Albania

Mi Casa Es Tu Casa is exactly what a backpacker or budget traveller would want, basics for cooking, a safe place to sleep, friendly staff, great atmosphere and comfy common areas (that were full but never too busy). They helped arrange all kinds of tours, guest houses, etc and were very knowledgeable about the local area. They are also partners / involved with local ch...

The host are very nice and friendly, it likes living in a local's house, rather than in hostel, it is very comfortable and make you feel warm. And the hostel location is very good, easy to walk to everywhere. I hope to get a chance to come again ;)

The hostel is like ten mins walk from the square, a beautiful house which was decorated by the lovely couple themselves, everything is perfect, but I still have to point something out, firstly an obvious sign, then sometimes the toilet on the 2nd floor can’t flush.. Anyway I had a wonderful time in Albania thanks to u Mati&Stavri! God I miss u so much~ May we meet agai...

It is the simplest thing to put up curtains for peoples' privacy especially in co-ed rooms. Easy to install easy to take off to wash - of course please wash curtains dont leave them on for ages assuming they dont get dirty. One bathroom per dorm room facility. The bathroom in our room was a shower/toilet so you had to make sure you had shoes or flip flops on every...

Lorenc is one of the nicest hosts I've ever met. He is very interested in you and your story and supports you a lot. His mindset is so strong and he is open minded to learn from each other. He offers you all you need and the feeling in the hostel is very lovely. The hostel is clean you can use the fridge if you want to. The way to the city is about 5 minutes and the ...

First what I should tell you, Albania it is another world. You can learn how to relax not rush, and somebody want to help you for free inside their hearts. Tomi have time to ask you everyday how can help you, where are you planning to go. He show you the best way, he will go with you on the bus stop 10 minutes one way ( he lost 20 min), but he is smilling and happy th...

This hostel is probably the best I have ever stayed in. As soon as I entered for the first time it felt like home. The atmosphere was so lovey. Walter gave an interesting free walking tour and we had an amazing typical Albanian dinner prepared by the lovely staff. Thumbs up!

What can I say about this hotel. ? From biginning. Owner of the hotel is ready to help you. Bit old school Proprety but of course. This is what you wanted it. Living middle of the castle. Everything is so great about this hotel. From. Food. Locations. View. 5 star ranking service. Owner is so down to earth. Actually. Drop me off. To airport at 4 am in the mor...

We had a very pleasant 3 night stay last week, with the property close to the beach and shops and with a very good regular bus service into Durres a few minutes walk away. Everything was very clean and comfortable with a nice balcony, nothing was too much trouble for the friendly and helpful owners and the price was very competitive. It is in a quiet location and we wo...

Appartments Rai, Double room with Balcony. 3n Room as on picture, with a good sized balcony overlooking the steps towards the sea/Saranda town. Kitchenette small and could do with 1 extra smaller pot or kettle for boiling water as well as a small cupboard/table to work/cut on. Just ok for basic stuff. Bed mattress very firm. Hot water no problem but you need to run t...

I highly recommend to stay in Klajdi apartment. Our host was so generous and talkactive. Enjoyed every minute of staying in their lovely building. Room has all facilities you need for solo or family vacation, view from balcony is just fabulous. Family-run business gives you feeling like you are part of their family. No doubt we’re coming back !

Owners very friendly and helpful. Best deal in Gjirokastra. Shuttle bus to Castle on next block. Nice view from roof of hotel day or night. Good places to eat nearby. Big Grocery with Ice Cream and Byreks very reasonable, just down the street. Will stay here again.

Pension Andrea is located very conveniently in walking distance to all major tourist sites in Tirana. Cafes, supermarkets, money changers, ect. all right there. The studio is convenient and spacious. The kitchen well-equipped with a coffee maker! We could to use the washing machine for our laundry. The owner lady is very helpful. She had a map for us and helped us call...

we had a very nice experience in Saranda and we can only say that we were perfectly happy and satisfied with our accommodation. the people were very nice, easy going and helpful. the flat is only like 5 minutes from the beach and is in a very calm area (no bars for tourists, no clubs). the apartment was just amazing with a huge balcony , fridge, bath amd everything we...

When we arrived our room wasn’t ready because a ‘VIP’ was doing a late checkout but we were contacted in advance to notify us and they kindly gave us another room in to rest and change and use the pool. The room was great and had everything we needed. A little light in the mornings. There was a very friendly dog who we named Albanski. The restaurant was excellent, high...

Beautiful beach and wonderful, large, very clean rooms. Stayed here twice, in the residence and then the hotel. The standout was the service. Very friendly and helpful staff. Always easy to find and we’re happy to go out of their way to accomodate us. Even helped me after we had left as I left some important items in the room. Will be returning next summer for sure...

The hotel's location is quite good since within easy walking distance of Skanderberg Square, but the hotel is very small to where it seems almost claustrophobic. In terms of the room, it was clean, but since it is located in a busy area, you hear a lot of outside noise even with the windows closed. In addition, the internet connection was spotty and would routinely g...

This is an outstanding hotel. Friendly staff, beautiful building, comfortable and well furnished rooms, great location and value for money. Eating a meal on the terrace with views of Berat and the surrounding mountains is an experience not to be missed.

This hotel was one of the best we have stayed in. After a long trip it was just what was needed. The staff were excellent, they helped us organise the next part of our trip - the staff all spoke some English . The food in the restaurant was also excellent - and great value. The room was very good, every worked as it should. The beds were lovely. Everything was excepti...

Firstly, the man working at reception was extremely rude when I arrived with my girlfriend. He made her feel extremely uncomfortable. My girlfriend is in Fier for a couple weeks with a sick family member and I live in Tirana. I booked the hotel for an opportunity to visit her. The hotel rooms are small and uncozy. There is no positive amenities as are advertised. ...

This was the first place in which we stayed on our first visit to Albania, and we were impressed with the general standard as shown in our star ratings. All the staff were very helpful and the restaurant had a good menu which was an interesting introduction to Albanian food as well as Italian dishes. Outside there were tables in a pleasant setting where you could also...

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel very much. We arrived early at 8am on our first day and we were checked,in right away. Staff was always available to answer our questions. Don't think we could have picked a better hotel in Saranda for our honeymoon :) The sea view from our balcony was amazing! Highly recommend this hotel! :)
