Had a fab time at this hotel. The location was great, about 5 min walk to the main promenade of restaraunts and shops. A metro station was also 5 mins away which provided an easy transfer to the airport. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the rooms were comfortable. Before you actually travel the hotel sends you a link to a secure booking area where you can send reque...

The hotel is pretty nice, the outside swimming pool is very good with great staffs. Large good looking rooms with a nice outside view of the swimming pool and the area surrounded by other hotels and buildings. No breakfast alone- HB or nothing. Breakfast was very good, dinner was less good(meat was mostly very dry). Breakfast includes water and juices but dinner no...

We stayed for a week after mid May with my son. Studio apartment was cozy and had everything we needed during our stay. We had dishes for cooking (no oven or microwave, but stove and electric kettle), still had our most meals outside as we walked around the GS area almost each day. Cleaning every day, new sheets every 3. day. Very friendly staff. Outdoor pool excellen...

It was a wonderful stay in a junior suite in mid September. The weather was great, pool and seaside fantastic, food and amenities more than great. The best things I would say were breakfasts in the garden and the pool, while the least impressive was the beach (bit too dirty - but probably that's due to my timing). Will come again, for longer this time.

Stay in Hilton Sofia was lovely. We stayed at the executive room on floor 8 and got a big room and city view. We had booked a standard room for 80 Eur per night but receptionist recommended an upgrade for 40 Eur to executive floor which included breakfast (20 Eur pp) and free internet (10 Eur). We also had access to the executive lounge on the first floor. Parking was ...

-Great location facing sea gardens, with 15 min walk to center -Bus station to golden sands just in front of hotel -Generous and tasty breakfast, only the coffee quality need to be improved -Very nice and clean rooms, only the pillows need to be changed (not comfortable) -The hotel Spa experience is not to be missed (very good massage)

The hotel is located directly at the City and you can walk from there to the most interesting places. Check In was very professional . If you book a room with twin beds than you will NOT have a view at all and you have to face only another house or wall. The other rooms are with a perfect view to the Cathedral.Breakfast variety is ok and we wished there was more tradit...

Some reviewers have commented on the hotel's exterior and it is obviously not going to win any design awards. Inside, the hotel is fine and although the front desk staff were busy, the breakfast staff were accommodating when we mistakenly arrived late and the breakfast actually nice too. The rooms are clean and spacious enough and the hotel itself is well located near ...

There’s little things that make hotel not perfect- the price of coffee is expensive, you must pay for parking, in our room some elements of door to bathroom must repair. I was paid for double room, but the boy of reception said that my room is for one man.

This apartment is in a new building in center of the city near subway. Very comfortable with new furniture and with elevator in the building. Comfortable bed and full equipped kitchen. Better stay in this great apartment than in hotel room. Very cheap price for excellent service and great staff. I will stay only here when i visit Sofia city for my business trips.

We had a family 2 bedroom suite which was well laid out. Main room had bedroom (en suite), then another room with kitchen dining table and settees with TV and a balcony. The separate bedroom had its own bathroom which was ideal. Simple continental breakfast and reasonably priced meals during the day. Great outdoor pool with enough sunbeds and a decent gym. Not much...

The staff were helpful, even with little things like opening doors for you. They tend to smile and be of assistance, which makes a difference. Breakfast was something of a let-down, though - not much choice. The room, whilst small, was comfortable, and there was a bath, which is always a nice thing, in my opinion.

Overall, our experience at the hotel was good. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the bath was well-appointed and the general feeling was of relaxed elegance. The staff were friendly and helpful and were extremely professional when registering and checking out. Our biggest problems were technical: as noted in many other reviews, the wifi was very poor (non-functio...

- cheap decoration of the hotel was disappointing , all is made from fake materials e.g. plastic , even the bathroom's black tiles are made from plastic! - hotel's territory is small - the reception is at all not helpful, seems they do not know anything about the city or attractions - hotel's located in a noisy place - balconies are all open space, so you can not rela...

Everything is the distance of 1-2km-ers. e.g. beach, bus station - but on the other hand it is in a very quiet place - good for rest - no parties all night long. The bus connection to Varna and Golden Sands is quite good - if someone is looking for entertainment. I recommend it to Family stays especially.

The hotel is near the stations, has large comfortable and clean rooms, and the desk staff are helpful. The city centre is a 15-minute walk down Maria Louisa Bvld, and the bus station a five-minute walk the other way. The cafes nearby are cheap and cheerful and there's a pizza restaurant downstairs if the weather's keeping you in. A pleasant stay and good value for m...

Located right across plaza from opera house. Tickets easily available for Barber of Seville my first night. Ten minute walk to the beach. Outdoor cafes all around, good restaurant Grill Master next door. Pronto laundry service. Delightful desk clerks who even walked me to the taxi stand which is a bit tricky because of the hotels location on a pedestrian plaza.

This is a first class hotel in a very run down part of Sofia. It is very convenient for the bus and rail stations which are a five minute walk away. The staff are very helpful and friendly, the hotel decor and furnishings are excellent, the breakfast buffet is very good. There are buses and trams that run down the street outside the hotel which is very convenient. The...

Our stay was excellent. We had a wonderful room with the most comfortable beds we have ever experienced. The staff was ever so helpful, even posting our postcards and obtaining stamps for us. Every request we made was done cheerfully and promptly. The hotel was very popular and 2 weddings and receptions were held during our 4 day stay. The breakfasts were very goo...

First time at this hotel and it will not be my last.... it was really really good... the view was so good... mountains.... see the city of Sofia above...... it was peaceful, breathing fresh air.... good staff helpful.... tasty food.... good breakfast....... my friend and I were in single rooms absolutely super clean, all the amenities you need.....play area in the hote...

Cheap places to stay in Bulgaria

This was a nice hostel. Contrary to other reviews about staff not being there, when I rang the bell, staff came down shortly. The bathrooms were a little dirty and had some kind of smell from the drain I believe. Other than that, the rest of the place was pretty clean. Beds were very squeaky and loud though. When I asked staff if there was a locker, they said no, but o...

For the cost, it's excellent. Nice kitchen with plenty of tea and coffee. The breakfast is cream rolls, cereal, and hot baked banitsa (Bulgarian cheese filled flaky pastry). They have a laundry machine, but good luck drying your clothes in this cold. The staff is nice and helpful. Try the Bulgarian tea, which is a typical mix with herbs. Sleep upstairs, as I find it's ...

Staff was so kind and helpful! They were in communication to help me check in when I arrived on a late bus, and gave good recommendations about the city. Dorm facilities are nice and comfortable; bathrooms extremely clean. Best kitchen facilities I’ve ever had. Recommend you give this city more than a day or two, it’s a great place to relax.

Maybe the entrance is not the best and you might feel scared getting in, as soon you arrive at the desk the receptionist make you feel so welcoming (Pawel in my case very helpful) after showing me the whole place providing me towel, adaptador, maps, tips and the key it was really good:)

I came here from the other city in Bulgaria. And actually, I've already stayed in another Hostel Mostel in Sofia. It was really good so I wanted to stay Hostel Mostel again. This Hostel Mostel is honestly as good as another in Sofia. If anything, it's better. The staffs are so friendly, attentive and sofisticated.... Anyway, highly recommended!

Lists as featuring a terrace, but I did not see it, it is not for guests use. Lists a shared kitchen, but it does not exist. There is a big coffee machine but do not know if it works. There is a tiny drip machine that works. Nothing else, no frig, only the bathroom taps and basin. Entrance is a bit strange. The parking is not free during the day. Descriptions need to...

I stayed in Hotel Strajica from 14 to 22 June 2016. The hotel is situated very close to Lozenets bus station, near central street leading from the bus station to the central beach. There are several shops and small fruit market in 2 minutes walking distance, as well as currency exchange office, various farmacies, post office, small town square, etc. The beach is not fa...

The place was kept extremely clean. Hostel is very accessible by metro. The property situates in a quiet residential neighborhood. If to name a few minus, that they do not offer breakfast and that there is no much eating places in the surroundings are something noteworthy. But it is equipped with kitchen so it would not be a bad choice for self-cook travelers. The ...

Nice room in a great old city location. The room was comfortable. The shared kitchenette is very small and there is no stove, only microwave. The owner is nice and brought out an electric tea kettle for us to use to boil water. The shared area was not heated so it was chilly. In our room there was an ac/heating unit do we could control the temperature.

The highlight of this stay was Evgeni and how he picked me up from the train station despite being delayed by around 1 hour, and how he treated me to an organic dinner and a local dish for breakfast. Am not too crazy about the location because there was no view from that room's window, but everything was nearby and bicycles were available for rental and there were 2 b...

Arrived in Bulgaria and the taxi driver could not find 6aTo hotel, phoned the hotel and the hotel staff arranged a meeting point in the village and came to pick us up. We were been put in a big room with large windows with both mountain and city view. Room included bath robes, towels, slipper, hair dryer and toiletries. There was a mini bar but at cost. No hot drink fa...

Seven lakes were the nice place for hiking, funny lift chair. Thanks for the household for driving us to the lift chair with a reasonable price, 20Lv a car! A nice kitchen with a coffee machine and a little garden with apple trees, I live to stay at the garden with beers and coffee!

Stayed one night. Not too far from town centre, host was friendly and recommended a good restaurant for dinner, as well as arranging transfers. No lift, so moving luggage was slightly troublesome (pack light), and layout of hallways is slightly confusing. Worth it for the mountain town feel.

We wound up here in off season and literally had the place to ourselves. We only interacted with the owner once by cell phone. She had someone meet us to give us the keys to the building at that was it. The room was beautiful, clean and very comfortable. A little odd having to lock up the hotel each time we came/left, but we loved our stay here!

Hotel was nice and clean. Staff were really helpful. Food was also very good, despite the other comments. Be careful with the location on the google maps. There you can see one result in the centre, but it's not real. Wifi works only at the reception and at the pool area.

Reserved Deluxe room with King size bed. After 3rd room, they finally showed me a room I could say was a bit larger. They then said thee is no King size beds in the hotel and that the web sites for reserving rooms put it on the site not them. I then showed them the Hotels site where it advertised the same. They then shoved 2 kids size beds together and thought, there y...

We really loved the fact that the hotel was extremely close to the beach so we could switch from the pool to the beach and vice versa. The food at the restaurant was delicious (breakfast was just OK though). The apartment was comfortable but we regret the fact that the kitchen was not fully equipped (no oven, no coffee machine and just one pan and 0 frying pan). We rec...

Very good location - in the middle between city center and tsarevets. Clean and well maintained rooms. I got a huge spacious room even though my booking was for a single accommodation! View from restaurant is great - you can see the hills and the castle remains. Food in restaurant and for bfast is good. One minor remark - for a 4* hotel - they could include coffee/tea...

I have mixed feelings about this hotel, I love to get great value for my money and I definitely got it with this hotel but it has a few things that annoy me so much that if fixed could make this hotel awesome therefore I can't recommend it or come back. Breakfast has decent options but is pretty low quality, dinner was hit and miss, ridiculous elevators the restauran...

The reception was very welcolming and friendly. The panoramic restaurant was excellent. I was pleasantly surprised by the delivery of a bowl of fruit to my room on arrival. The price of food and wine was very reasonable. Overall the hotel was very good value for money and I intend using it again when I return to Bulgaria.

The hotel is outside the city center; however, the park across the street has restaurants and access to the beach. The room was standard, although the shower was quite small and had a curtain instead of a glass enclosure, so water tended to get on the floor outside the shower. It was a basic breakfast, but pretty good for Bulgaria. They also had a fitness room with ...

The hotel is tastefully done and the room is very comfortable. The food is one of the best we had in the Balkans. The famous Free Walking Tour is about 10 mins. away. The Alexander Catheral is at the back of the hotel and accessible on foot. We made a mistake about the booking which should be a day later. We found out when it was too late to cancel through the tra...

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel together with my fiancée. The place is very clean and the staff was really nice and helpfull. First time using this hotel and what a lovely welcome helpful..... we were only staying for one night and the standard room was good...so clean... restaurant good.... food tasty..... staff excellent.... Breakfast brilliant again the staff could not do enough...... fabulous......

location is good, it's not far away from beach and main street. food was not good enough quality. when i visited there, it was almost end of the season, so it might be a reason they didn't serve good quality food. some of the hotel staff were very friendly, but not all of them. when i used shower, water didn't go away as expected, so i asked the hotel to fix t...

Very poor, the price is too high for what they are offering, not good value for money, very poor breakfast, very poor service, very expensive SPA, with no good service. it's a new hotel, but the guid it using cheap materials in general the not so good choice

We booked a very last minute 2 night stay at the hotel. We had a fantastic rate, as we went in low season (June). I am really pleased we stayed here. Our room was perfect - a really good size and with a fold up bed for our 3 year old and a cot for our 1 year old. The hotel had thought of everything, including children's bath products and mini-robes! We had such a good ...

i have been in many hotels arround the world, so that's why i can say that so far, this hotel is number 1 not only in bulgaria, but in europe. i mean, n1 - quality - price !!! you can't find the best price on such quality... they are really the best. the spa centar is amazing, the termal pool i something amazing !!!! real termal waters, unbeleivable.

There is no hot water in peak hours. Stains on the carpet. The sink was clogged. The food didn't varied. There was war for lounge chairs and umbrellas around the pool. Most of the time it was difficult to find a table for breakfast, lunch and diner. The staff was not polite. Serve to foreigners the most cheap bulgarian alcohol.

The spa is epic with so much choice of facilities, all of which are new and in perfect clean working order. The indoor and outdoor pools are so nice as filled with spring water. There is a lovely children’s pool too. The hotel itself is nice and our duplex room was really comfortable and spacious but overall this is not a 5 star hotel by international standards. In the...
