I stayed here for 3 nights while finishing up some work for a consultancy in Maputo. What a world away. The place is flawless, excellent everything. The breeze off the ocean is absolutely priceless and I left my windows open all day and night. The diving was great. Food and staff fantastic. There is no gym. Bad for a five star hotel.

Disappointed with the room - dark & dingy. Bed very uncomfortable, with cockroaches in the shower and ?rat droppings around the sink. We were going to let this slide as we only had a couple of days here but the rusted shower broke and wouldn't turn off. We had to move room as they couldn't fix it. The staff were so welcoming and their service throughout our stay was first class. The room was very nice, comfortable bed and excellent mosquito net. It's not what used to be. Slow, uninterested service. Mediocre food. The rooms are not spotless, house keeping is not impeccable. Overrated, overcharged: not good value for money.

This hotel is a business travelers facility. We arrived at 6:30 pm and there was no option for eating at their restaurant, nor were there any restaurants nearby. Really beautiful and peaceful place. Amazing staff, very serene, well done. Staff were very attentive and flexible to the traveler's needs. Not quite beachside but accessible to much of Maputo. Will be back.

We loved the location and general facilities. Staff were great, food was awesome! Unfortunately, there was no WiFi as advertised and electricity seems to have been turned off during the night. We had no lights and cold showers in the morning.

Location is near port. Rather safe. Small kitchen, bath. Restraunt was nice. Stuffs are organized. Though it is ordinal hotel in other country, but if you think you are in Mozambique, Afrin Prestige is excellent and I can recommend.

I am from Singapore and I do carry the adaptor that can fit the Mozambique AC. I when to the reception to request for one that I can use, instead of providing one they told be that their hotel do not have this kind of adaptor and if I need one it will cost me Metical MZN300 + MZN200 (Taxi Service)to get. This is an excellent hotel in Maputo. The cleanliness is great and the WiFi connection works fine inside the room. I would highly recommend this place! Their dining/lounge area is great and we really enjoyed our private hut. The location right on the beach is nice and you are near some local restaurants. It was a great experience and a new discovery. The hotel has great facilities to be among the best hotels in the world.

Admittedly there aren't many options in Nampula, but this one is about the best option.

Good internet

One particular staff, a lady by the name of Berta, constantly asked for bribes throughout our stay at the hotel. From me, she asked for "tips" if she extended our stay at the hotel, from my friends, she asked for their iPhone case, lunch money etc. If we can't trust the staff at hotel, it gives guests little faith on the safety of our personal belongings in our rooms. ...

We recommend that visitors previously contact Coral Lodge to book the trip between Mozambique island and the lodge by boat.... It's much easier and it doesnt cost more. The stay was very nice I think right now in Beira the Golden peacock is one of the best hotel in town but for that type of hotel they need to train their staff well I'm sure they will mature with time but they need well train staff for that hotel.

We stay at the Pestana when on business in Mozambique and it is a great place to stay.

Host blamed Agoda for incorrect pictures. I needed an upgrade, when i expressed my disappointment. This was a bit better. I was charged USD93 for the shack- total rip-off and expected the upgrade to be at same price but it wasnt. This property was disappointing to the extent that I would request a refund...because it was misleading
