Find Hotels in Uganda

I am typically a 5 star hotel stay girl but wanted to prove to myself that I could rough it on my week long East African vacay. Staying at Bushpig was hardly "roughing it". It was reminscent of a college dorm except better cause the bar was right down stairs! Bed was comfy and the room had a nice balcony. The food and drinks at the restaurant we're good and convenient. No complaints. Not even a issue with noise the bar stopped the music at 11pm I think. But the music was great. I slept with the sliding glass door open both nights of my stay since there was no a/c but none was needed

-Free laundry was helpful. -the property photos are inaccurate. The rooms look totally different. We booked double room with shower. First we got a 4 bed dorm with shared shower. We insisted on double room. But the caretaker was fearful and refused to ask his boss. When he did, we only managed to get 4 bed dorm with private shower. Unfortunately we realized later that the staff forceably remove a guest's stuff to give us the room. Caretaker did his best. I feel that management's disorganized and dishonest with what they said on this site. -No wifi. Only a dongle which you have to buy credit. Not convenient for trip planning. -Renovation is still going on in the yard. -Location is shady. Little street lights. All our Uber drivers couldnt find it during pick up. During drop off, with our navigation, all drivers worried for our safety. During those nights, they were very drunk locals drinking and playing loud music outside the gate. Nothing happened. But its too noisy to fall asleep.

I slept here twice one night each. First they gave me the Dorm room, although I had booked a Single room more than one month before. They where full and explained that the rate I booked for was not anymore accordingly to the room. The dormroom was direct next to the kitchen, so quite noisy and also the Music from the eating place was like direct in my Room. The food order in the evening took more then one Hour and the Drink came, after I had finished meal. Food was tasty, but all in all also the drinks I found a Little overpriced. Second I came they had promised me the best and biggest Room as compensation of the Room I got the time before. I came into the Room, BUT the one and only socket for charging devices was not working. They shiftet me again to another Room, which was even bigger and nicer. In the morning I came for Breakfast 20 minutes before closing,but they already had removed everything. They prepared and after 10 minutes I had my Breakfast, but no eggs, They had no more. So I had 2 Toast, 5 small pices of pineapple and a spoon of magarine. No Jam. Hot milk and water for coffee or tea.In the room there where mosquitonets, but the bathroom had Open spaces and no wire at the window, so mosquitos are coming in. The shelf in the bath seemed had not been cleaned this year yet. The matraze was good but no fan. staff are extremely friendly and welcoming.It seems the owner does not Stay in the country and the superviser only drop in from Time to Time. They really try to do a good job, but still there are some things they need to take care of with giving it more attention. All in all an acceptable place to stay If you do not expect to much., it's a Budget accomodation with acceptable prices and services. They have a nice Garden to sit outside. Internet is not free anymore, but you can by Mbs accordingly to your needs and then Access it. I would recommend the place, If you are satiesfied with simple accomodation and an average cleaness.

I've been a frequent visitor at this hotel over the past year but do not trust and in particular for women, who might be living, working in Uganda they will tell you they have rooms, it will show up as booked on this website and others and when you reach they will take you to an offsite place about 15 minutes away down a lane that is frankly uncomfortable. You will be taken to a room that for me resembles what I imagine a prison cell must feel like. It is remote, it is removed and it is extremely uncomfortable. I was left here after having ben a frequent visitor of the Hotel Acacia City. After the first time I thought okay they overbooked and shuttled me off to a completely unacceptable location but today I reached after confirming a booking and again, same thing. The higher of a rating that we give the move they will over book and then try to pass you into any place they can find. The last place they shoved me into felt like a prison. I called to reconfirm my reservation as I live up city and they confirmed it, there was no room. They will over book and over book if someone does not speak out. Very sad to see a nice place become so corrupt and so unacceptable. I've put up with noise, no internet and did enjoy this place, DO NOT Book here, for women who are traveling alone, they do not care they will put you anywhere at all. I would give them the lowest possibly rating for dishonestly.

I came to Entebbe to photograph the Milégé International Music Festival held in the Botanical Garden (next door). For me it could not be better to be so near the event, and the friendly personale made our stay perfect. We felt at home at once. The breakfast was very good and there is not one single thing I could complain about. Thank you very much for a nice experience.

THere's totally nothing to eat for breakfast. I mean they pretend to serve it, but... well I went hungry after such a "breakfast". The staff is not really experienced with foreign tourists. That's all I could say on the negative side, but it is all fully compensated by location!!! It's like living on little resort, so, we came for one day and were ready to stay for a week. Bought ourselves more food to have breakfast, which was quite cheap, so... I'd recommend my friends to go there, but would warn them what's to expect...

HBT Russel has become a sort of home away from home. It’s a nice, clean hotel with simple but comfortable and clean rooms with a great staff. It’s 24 hour restaurant has good selections and reasonable prices, especially their lunch buffet of local food. For under $5 you can eat great Ugandan food to your hearts desire. The location is perfect in the middle of the city. The price is acceptable in light of the fact that it includes a breakfast buffet and an air conditioned room. The exercise room is quite well equipped. In the building there are various shops including a money exchange.

First of all, if you are thinking about going to Uganda for a vacation stop thinking about it and DO IT! I have been to over 40 countries and I can honestly say nothing can beat Uganda. The people, the nature, the adventures even the food was all fantastic. Second, the Humura Resorts are a great place to stay. Kampala, while a great city is very busy, crowded and noisy. The Humura Resorts are none of these things. It is a very relaxed place with a great setting. The staff are helpful, the rooms are clean and the rooms are also a great value. Do yourself a favor and stay at this place!

Business centre useful but printing not colour. Large business lounge normally unused so very useful for business meets at no extra cost Excellent gym with free instructors and lots of kit so never ever waiting. Sauna is very good Swimming pool excellent though cold Food in general is good but we are not talking haute cuisine. TV channels very limited but adequate WiFi free. Average reception in rooms Great if you have kids as pool supervised & playground too. Great sense of space and openness with lots of tropical greenery and palms.
