Our hotel was having electrical problems, but we were relocated to another hotel via taxi and was very happy about it. A big thumbs up for having a back up in place that did not compromise on quality.

Deceptive”
I tried to cancel this within 5 mins of booking as I had made a mistake with the dates. The hotel wouldn't let me, I had to get Agoda to convince them to change the date - they charged me extra for the changed date. When I looked online for the new date - it was the cheaper price so that was just an opportunistic grab for money. Imagine my shock when we arrive, they are renovating or they don't have the room for us, I couldn't quite understand the rushed excuses, so just wait and they will get someone to drive us to another hotel around the corner. Our family of 4 with young children - after a 15 hour flight and numerous troubles getting a taxi to this location - very disappointing, I was very upset - they wouldn't let me cancel but then turned around & couldn't even deliver the service we paid at an inflated price. I had to sign a little waiver about the transfer. The other place we stayed was a smaller room. Had a good breakfast so that was a nice end to the story.

This is just a plain hotel room for the low price. Don't expect TV, Fridge, Microwave, A/C, good Table, etc in the room, all we got was a kettle on medium sized table, and after asking small fan and ironing board. Breakfast was ok but same menu repeated for all days of the week (Sun to Fri). Linen was clean and changed daily. Lift didn't work for all days I stayed. I would say just a hotel - no stars,. I was expecting more (TV, Fridge, Microwave, A/C, good Table) after seeing it online.

Pro is that it's got secure parking. Cons non English-speaking staff. Cold breakfast baaad coffee. Very thin walls. Dirty carpets in rooms. Very slow at returning the security deposit.

Sorry I couldnt seem to fill the stars in properly. I would rate cranbrook hotel as 5 for everything. A very comfortable stay. Very peaceful at night A lovely hearty breakfast. Staff were so friendly helpful and courteous. I would most definitely stay again. I will stay again very soon. Thanks for all your help. I will be recommending it to others most definitely. We booked 3 nights but checked out after the first night. Had we another place to go we would have left immediately. The front desk staff tried to assist but the hotel needs a lot of work all round. The front reception says it all not welcoming. In regard to facilities we changed our first room because it had a low headapace above the bed if you sat up the risk is you might injure yourself. Yet this was offered as a suitable room to stay. The pillows were totally flat, the shower drainage was not OK as bath water gathers and takes a while to drain out. There was too much noise coming through from the corridor and other rooms. It was hard to settle with so much going on in the room and environment.

the place is realy dirty tornout carpert dirty walls and wallpapers are torn out in some of the wall to say the fact it was not of my standard. won't recommend anyone staff not friendly. its no no no no and they asked me about the deposit of £50 to give me the key. which i did not been told before. they said although i have paid for the room they could not give me the key. whst is that.

Racist staff and poor smears on the wall ”
On arrival I had to pay extra 50£ deposit which was not stated online. The Indian hotel manager and his boys club friends were verbally abusive. One worker there stood outside my windows whilst I was dressing and caused a lot of trouble. The hotel is full of Italian and Indian gangs. I went for a walk I came back and the manager told me that he and friends went into my room and so did the same guy who was standing outside my window whilst I was changing my clothes. I made complaints to Mary the white lady who works at reception but all queries weren’t always dealt with. I told the manager “I’ve been respectful I paid all money I’ve had 16 deaths and have come to this hitel with my boyfriend to be closer to family and you all I’ll treat us” the manager screamed “ I DONT CARE JUST GO BAVK TO YOUR ROOM”. I still haven’t received my deposit back. I DO NOT RECOMMEND! Do not stay here. Do not do not do not. And the head house keep jurgita gave me milk with hair in the bowl. It’s disgusting. This hotel is CAMEL DUNG

The place requires a proper renovation. The carpet are poor quality. The room is not conformable for 3 person and small. It's only good for sleep at night.
