I've booked hotels for many time now and in this B&B, you will never get elsewhere such a polite and trustworthy staff/owner. I thought the staff at Residence Hotel in Galway was perfect but this is beyond perfect. From the get go (start of my booking), I was texted about my arrival time. When I arrived there, one of the owners, drove alongside me from the road nearby. The room given to us was clean and just what I always wanted in my life: Cottage style. However, at night, due to adverse weather conditions and strong wind, the electricity for the whole Cumbria District was cut on the first night. Nothing to complaint about that. The next day, the owner gave me the options whether to stay or find another hotel outside Cumbria because of the electricity breakdown. We decided to leave at 11.00 am and he promised to refund back the payment to me. I did email Agoda.com and I got the full refund for the whole three nights. The owner emailed me to confirm about the refund. Generous enough

Perfect weekend hideaway”
Perfect out of the way escape in a stunning setting on a working sheep farm. Amazing views all round and great hospitality from the owners. Lovely wool shop next door with items made from local wool. Amazing walking in the nearby area with a heat local pub and village shop in Patterdale. Love to return.
