unexpected charge, strange staff”
they asked me 5 euros linen fee upon checkin that is not even listed in agoda,the receptionist insisted that i paid or no check in,the evening staff are okay,the morning staff have a bad attitude in general. strange atmosphere in this hostel,i didn't like it.would not recommend unless for short stay

Good hostel, secret charges....”
This hostel was good, clean, no breakfast on price, the receptionist charged me a secret cost of 5 euros, telling me that it is written in the details of the hostels's rules, so for one day i paid 20 eyros for 4 beds room, without breakfast. It should be included in the total price.

Convenient and good location .”
Very near to the train station . There are usually lots of local European youngsters staying here and they made loud noise ! ! Luckily I was staying in the single room and yet I still can hear their voices and laughters out there .... Room condition is very basic as usual (Normally an Aircond is not available in the hostel - gentle reminder for Asian travellers). Staffs are friendly and helpful . 10 -15 minutes walk to the eateries and various restaurants , and the neighbourhoods are very happening and busy during Friday night and weekend evening (kinda having night markets around the streets).

Okay place to stay”
I was a little disappointed with this hostel. All its pictures and even in the old reviews it says it has individual beds but when I got to my room, they only have bunks. I hope they update their pictures. Kind of misleading. Also, customer service is a hit and miss. Some people behind the desk smiles and greets you, some especially when I dropped the keys to checkout, pretend you don't exist at all. I know there is a stereotype about this among Germans, but I kind of expected differently since this is a hospitality business after all.

This was the cheapest hostel I stayed. Cheap should not mean basics should not be there. ”
Staff was friendly and helpful with directions etc. No lift, no kitchen, no fridge, no microwave. You need to walk out of room for a public bathroom. Shower was common for females and males. Extremely noisy from the bar crowd, road and trains. Hot water almost killed me, good to make tea and at times no water at all! Staff should not expect the customers to inform on these matters and act as if they are not aware. Worst was bed bugs in the upper flow. I am right now infected of bed bugs and can simply cry. I have no words to express. This was the only hostel I experienced with all these issues in my holidays this time. Sorry for all these negative reviews but I must write so others will decide on realistic reviews. Please treat your rooms ASAP on upper floor and sort out your water temperatures on lower floor. Heath & Safety should be first priority for hostels.

They wanted me to pay 5 euros extra. FOR THE SHEETS. Thats like going to a restaurant and paying for knife and fork. Ripp off!!!!

Perfect”
We stayed in room for 2 people with separate bathroom. It was big enough. Ceiling was high, curtains dark and long (which is good so you can enjoy your sleep), bathroom was clean and beds were comfortable. Hostel itself is beautiful. Furniture was classic and pretty. Also the crew was helpful enough. The only minus is that check in time is after 15.00. But check out is at 11.00 which is good. Also they have rooms to put your lagguage even after check out. Additional thanks to receptionist guy from Argentina, he is so polite. If I will stay again in Berlin, definitely will check this hostel.

Look no further! I found my new favourite hostel in Berlin and have only good things to say about it, not a negative thing at all! Fantastic building close to transportation of every kind, lovely rooms with very comfortable beds, I slept in a room with 5 beds and the fact that I am 58 and the other inhabitants was...well much, much younger cannot be faulted the hostel - we tried to work around everybodys different circadian rhythm and it went surprisingly well:) All in all a very nice stay!

The breakfast was very good The hostel was ok not great I paid 20 extra euros for me and my friend for bed sheets which is strange !!! When you book a room it should be with a bed with sheets but for me this is not acceptable

I booked for 2 nights only after 1 night they told me to check out. I asked to see the receptionist, they refused. A scam and bad place. I sent an email and they didn't respond either.

THIS HOTEL IS NOT BAD IN A HISTORICAL BUILDING”
To make a general assessment, "IN THE CONCEPT OF THE HOTEL" THE HOTEL IS CLEAN, THE STAFF ARE GOOD, BUT AGAIN, you may encounter scruffy and filthy customers that you would not expect. Unfortunately, encountering middle eastern Arab refugees and others is awful. The beds are a bit old and the bed linens are 3rd class and thin.. SHOWER and BATH: the kind that can be used by everyone except the rooms. In general, although some hotel customers are very dirty and scruffy, they are constantly cleaned. SHOWERS run little hot water because it is set to only 3 minutes to press once and it is an annoying situation. COMING TO BREAKFEST: The breakfast ambiance of the Hotel-Hostel is full of quality, rich and delicious products... Coffees, world teas, fruits, omelettes, yoghurt and quality breads. Endless thanks to MAIZENA for her always smiling and positive personality, ESPECIALLY preparing and serving breakfast. He is incredibly helpful and caring.
