This hotel’s location is good as it’s so near to the sanjo shopping arcade and a short 10 mins walk to the train station. When we arrived, it was raining but we were almost all sheltered by the walkways, so it was a relief!! The hotel’s location is good, quiet in a small road but once u walk out, the street’s alive! The hotel is clean but quite small, as per usual japan’s hotel size. The bed and sheets are cosy and we love the shampoo/soap provided! The staffs are friendly too. Do check out the conveyer belt sushi joint just at the road before the hotel for some cheap and good meal! Will recommend this to everyone!

This is exemplary of GREAT value for money. This is an exceptionally highly recommended hotel for me. The staff are very respectful and helpful, and are clear with the policies of the hotel. The room is impeccably clean and the resources provided are adequate. The location is very ideal as it is less than a 5-minute walk to the Kyoto Shiyakusho-mae Station. There are various restaurants and convenience stores around it that are open up until late at night. I highly recommend going to the Fortune Garden Restaurant by the city hall. The hotel is also very conveniently located near good quiet bars in the Gion district, which is less than 15-minutes away on foot.

excellent location to subway, great 7/11 store, excellent shopping, bus stop to popular sights, rotating sushi bar. great washer/dryer (no detergent required). if, I had to complain about anything, the restroom/shower has a step upward that could be a bit difficult for an elderly/senior citizen. but other than that, it's the BEST HOTEL!!! they even have umbrella's you can borrow, if it should rain.

Great value, spacious and welcoming hotel in centre of Kyoto”
The room was simple, but spacious and spotless. The 2 x wide single beds for my friend and I were very comfortable, with good, western style pillows and duvets (no need to bring your own!). I slept like a log. There was a kettle, fridge and hairdryer in the room. We looked onto a neighbouring building, but that was no problem, as we were in Kyoto to see the autumn leaves, not spend time in the hotel (though I overheard a lady complaining very rudely to the charming staff that she didn't have a view, and demanded to be moved...I was VERY surprised, as this hotel is SUCH GOOD VALUE for money, I don't understand how anyone could be complaining about anything...). There was no option for breakfast here, but since there are 4 cafes within minutes of the place, it's not a problem. We had a wonderful breakfast in a nearby French bakery with attached restaurant (Bakery Cafe Sizuya?). I would definitely stay here again, as it was very central, and only about 20 minutes to Kyoto Station by bus.

Let’s start with the only con which was the coin laundry was only made up of 2 dryers and two washers so I had to wait a while, now that out of the way this was one of the best hotels my wife and I have stayed in through the entire Japan for the price we had a large room friendly and professional staff and management ensured all our additional needs were precisely met as we had to get our luggage sent to the next hotel. All staff ensure our stay was always welcome with genuine and warm heart felt greetings every single minute of the day, overall I would stay on this hotel again without a blink of an eye as it’s also located in front of the bus stop next to a 7/11 and a 5-15 min walk to pretty much everything around dinning and shopping in Kyoto, out of 5 for us.

Good location, very easy to shopping around and eat around, and very good for walking. A lot of bus stations around, can easily go to the spot and also take the bus to go to Kyoto station. Room is spacious and very clean and well facilitated.

Wonderful Stay Again”
This is my second time coming to Kyoto within 3 months. My first stay in Hotel Gran Ms Kyoto was wonderful and this time it didn't disappoint me. The staff are extremely friendly and professional. They would greet me whenever I enter or leave the hotel. The room was very clean even though the room I stayed this time is a little bit old. That was complete okay for me. The location of this hotel is probably one of the bests in Kyoto. You can pretty much go everywhere with ease. Nishiki Market is a walkable distance. There are many bus stops right beside the hotel if you need to travel far. The subway is just 4-5min walk from the hotel. Around the hotel, there are many restaurants and shops. I will highly recommend this to others :)

- convenient coin laundry - vending machines - friendly staff - no smoking in the room but there's an outside smoking area - right next to the big pallete shopping centre and not far from public transport -- unfortunately can't open the windows Kore than a crack.

Great Location”
Great location! Less than 5 minutes walk from Zest Oike Exit 2 of the Kyoto Shiyakushomae Subway Station. This exit has escalators so no issues for guests with luggages. The hotel is located in Downtown Kyoto and is within walking distance to lots of food and shopping. With the convenient location, we could pop back to the hotel in the middle of the day for a short rest and for food.

Stayed here with 3 friends. We got a room with 3 beds. We didn't spend too much time in the room, was out site seeing and eating out during our stay. The beds were comfortable and the staff was nice. Not much in terms of amenities for the hotel. The hotel was close to the train/bus stop. It is easy to get there with transit. Lots of shops and restaurants around that you can walk to. I would stay here again if I were in Kyoto!

Hotel is clean and well-run. The best thing about it is that it’s 5 mins from two major bus stops that are on most of the important routes.
