Location is very good, close to shinsekai Tower and Don quijote. I think it's in the middle of everything. You can easily find the hotel. The room is clean and it has all I need except for the toilet and bathroom which didn't bother me at all. I never experienced traffic in toilets and bathroom so I didn't feel like I'm sharing with someone else. It's clean. Over-all, I highly recommend this hotel and I for sure will stay here again. I enjoyed my stay. its quiet too and that gave me a good sleep and rest.

We had a really great stay in this hotel in Osaka. We got to stay in the new part and it was very enjoyable. The shower facilities on the floor are great and also very clean, even the toilets are very clean any time of the day. The room is small, but enough space for your bags/suitcases. They provide a kimono to go to the bathroom and slippers. Their service is great and also the common space to use the microwave and kitchen is very handy. Would highly recommend this hotel for any travelers to Osaka.

We stayed in a 4-bedroom room and it was very spacious for the 4 of us. It was a common bathroom/comfort room but we were the only people located at the ground level near the dining area. The only thing is they close between 2 am to 5 am. One time we went to Mega Don Quijote (walking distance from Hotel Mikado) we arrived 30 minutes before 2 am and we found the hostel closed. We knocked until the receptionist heard us and showed us the sign that it closes between 2 am to 5 am. So take note of that for future travelers. But overall, a pleasant stay.

This is the best hostel in osaka, so far for me. So close from jr (east exit shinimamiya) and metro station. There is DonQ, family mart. Hostel itself have a small room but clean, microwave and oven every floor, onsen (no need to wait). They provide pajamas, toothbrush, towel and staff are really nice. You can leave your luggage there. Perfect place for me.

Pros: 1) they provide free robes and towels 2) fast wifi 3) clean and modern common area 4) free bikes for use 5) free water, tea, coffee 6) aircon for heating 7) free use of hair dryer 8) there are lots of shelves in the room 9) they clean the CR everytime. No need to worry that it might not be clean 10) 1-2mins walk from Dobotsuen-mae station (Misoduji line) and 5-10mins walk from JR Shin-Imamiya station Cons: 1) room was really small Overall: 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We are glad that we have our room at ladies floor. The room is clean but very small in size. We can’t lay flat 2 medium size luggage at one go. But it is fine based on the money we pay. There are free coffee/ tea for your consumption. We can store our luggages at the hotel while we travel to other places.

this is such a good place for its price!! I would stay here again. It's quite hard to reach it so I suggest HOTEL MIKADO put an instruction along with photos so the guests will be able to get to it. I was just told it was 5mins away from Shinimamiya,but was never told that East exit is better than the other one. Still, it's such a good location coz it's literally very near Shinimamiya and Dobuetsun-mae stations. And there's a nearby Mega Donki!! plenty of Family Mart, too! The staff are very helpful. I just wish that since the 8th floor is for women only, they would consider putting a shower room in there, too! most of all for those staying in private single rooms!

SUPERB LOCATION”
location wise it is superb! very near the subway and JR lines. the hotel is very clean even the if it's shared bathroom/toilet. you can cook your meal or re-heat your bento. Mega Don Quijote is just a block away just accross the ShinImamiya station. We will definitely book again if given a chance to travel in Osaka again.

Hotel is accessible to two train lines (Shin-Imamiya and Dobutsuen-mae stations) and also very near a Don Quijote store where the prices are cheap! We always got our food and also our souvenirs there. Rooms are clean and bath robes, towels, and toothbrushes are also provided. We will definitely stay here again when we go back to Osaka.

I just love the location of the hotel, just a walking distance from Dobutsuen-Mae station. The front desk service is also very helpful and they accept for the late check in (we checked in at almost 12am), the room is very clean and the bathroom is clean as well. i love this hotel so much

For travelers/tourists on a budget, Hotel Mikado is a great place to stay. There was nothing I can complain about. The staff were nice, the hotel was clean and with complete facilities, and very near to a subway station. A convenience store is also nearby. Overall, we had a comfortable stay.

Clean and Cozy Place”
Super comfy bed, the room is not spacious but good enough for me and my brother. Shared bathroom is not a problem for us, very clean. Just few minutes walk from the station, and spa world and mega Don Quijote just across the street. highly recommended to stay here.

Near to subway with 2 minutes walk and 5 minutes walk to JR train. 7 minutes walk to nankai line direct to airport. You can buy a ticket train to airport at receptionist with a cheaper price (800yen++). Near to Don quijote. You can borrow iron for free. They allow us to check in early at 9am. During our last day, we check out and put our bag at receptionist or you can store your bag at locker shop near hotel in front of train station with a cheaper price

Affordable, clean and good location. ”
I and my son stayed here 4nights and fortunately we were accommodated in annex-new bldg. The room is new so everything looks neat and clean. There is separate toilets and shower rooms every floor and it does not get crowded, everything is clean and organized. The staff are friendly and accommodating. You can leave your buggage and stroll around the last hours if you have late scheduled flight coz check out time is 10am. Location is good, 7min away from Shin Imamiya Stn, (Nankai line to/from Kansai airport). Likewise, the hotel is 3min away from Jr stn. Near Shinsekai Tower, Dohtonbori, Shitennogi Temple and many more. Overall, the hotel is exceptional, good for all types of traveller.

The place is clean except for the toilets that smell even though they are cleaned. I suspect it's the floor mat which absorbs stray urine and no matter how it's mopped, the absorbed urine still smells. The staff is very attentive. The best is that they provide slippers and kimono and you can get new toothbrush if you need a replacement and fresh new towels every morning! It's a short walk to the Tsutenkaku Tower and the 24hrs Mega Don Quijote store, and of course the various 24hrs convenient stores. The kitchen also has a good selection of tea and coffee, foc, all day long. We stayed at the newer annex building.

Very nearby to the subway and easily accessable to many tourist attraction. Value for money and the place is clean. Own bath robe is given with good toiletries. Definitely recommended!

New building is clean and peaceful. I like this hotel they have sauna and Kimono to rent in a cheap price. Loction is good, near subway easy to go.

Old but good”
Definitely will come back for a stay. Best overall hotel experience during my Japan Trip. 1. Let's talk about the bad first. The hotel is indeed a bit old compared to many. I don't feel comfortable staying alone in one room. 2. Best and helpful staff 3. Great mini things that make big difference. Good ground floor atmosphere, tea available, tv available, books available, sauna available, wifi available, food available, empty boxes for packing, shampoos for customer, hair dryers, tickets to Osaka.
