Small and cozy hotel room ”

Great location with lots of dining places and shopping street and malls surrounding the hotel. Hotel is just located within walking distance from the exit of Machida Station (JR). Overall, my hubby and I were satisfied with our stayed and the hotel breakfast is delicious with simple Japanese meal. The hotel's canteen is small but clean n cozy.

Near train station”

Our stay in Hotel Shinjukuya is okay. The hotel is clean and near the train station. The staffs are helpful and can communicate well. They are very friendly and attentive. However, the hotel is too far from tourist attractions.

Hotel is not in Shinjuku, nevertheless satisfied”

Overall satisfied, except for the location where we mistakenly thought it was at Shinjuku. This hotel is located much further away than Shinjuku, probably an hour plus or so away via train ride. Still, the hotel is clean and offers free breakfast.

Room with breakfast and...”

The room has enough space and the bathroom is quite large for Tokyo standard. However, the amenities is very standard. Our room came with breakfast and we're surprised that the breakfast is only one bowl of white rice + plain curry sauce (no meat) + natto + jelly. We had to take another real breakfast afterwards.

Compact Room”

Hotel Shinjukuya is a small hotel for business travellers. Hotel entrance next to cigarettes vending machines, no hotel lobby, reception located at 5th level. Value for money for single or business travellers. The room we booked was small and basic, equipped with all hotel room facilities. Plenty of local japanese restaurants, grill bars, ju jiu wu and shops (ie. 100yen shop, etc) around the hotel vicinity.

nice and clean hotel near Odakyu machida station ”

really nice hotel near the Odakyu Machida station, we only wished we knew about the area beforehand though, it's centrally located around the machida's former red light district and 24 hours karaoke bars, but the advantage of this is there's a lot of 24 hours food around our area :) overall it's a nice experience :)

a nice and easy access trip. as we are going to sanrio park, so it was near from this station. surrounding of the hotel was the restaurants which operate till midnight.

Hotel are kind of at alley but isn't bid deal, Very near odakyline Machida station just about 5mins to walk, and JR line also just 10mins walk, Machida is very lively and convenient area, But hotel staff don't speak very well english sometime even don't understand and they have wired rule every 2days need clean your room, I was going out late night and back at morning, i just want rest and don't want anybody come to clean up But they say i can't because by the rule i have to go out let it clean, and that's wired! Otherwise i will say is nice hotel, good price, and people are friendly.

Nice Hotel - near Train Station”

The location of the Hotel is very close to everything i need, five minute walk to Train Station (Machida), also near at Mall, Establishments, Restaurants & Convenient Stores. It is not scary to wander around. Nice!!!

Good for value, but not so good location.”

Firstly, I've stayed for 6 nights at the hotel during October. It's been pretty good experience. I'd start of with the location first. Don't let the name fools you, this hotel is in Machida district which is 40Km away from Shinjuku. If you're okay with traveling quite a bit, this might not be a problem as the hotel is very near the train station (Odakyuu line and JR Yokohama line). You can reach inner Tokyo or Yokohama within 1 hr. Being near the station also have it cons -- the hotel locate inside the business area of the town and surrounded by night-entertaining places like pubs and pachinkos. That makes outside of the place very noisy. (be-aware that people there shout even if it's already at 3AM). The facility is pretty good for its price. I've got a TV, water boiler, bathroom with hot water, etc. which is more than enough to live. Having breakfast is also a plus. One thing I find it a problem is the air conditioning system is shared for the whole building. Once the air con changed to heater, you would have to live with it. I find they changed to air con too soon, as the room is still warm (the weather at that time was 15-20 but inside the room is warmer). I end up have to open all of the windows, and have to sleep with the noise from the outside. There's no mosquitoes, by the way. Check-out time is a little bit too early (10AM). Guessed it's norm in Japan. Staffs are very nice and very helpful. They might not be proficient in English, but they can help me with anything. If you're planning to see people lifestyle in the suburb area, this place is pretty good. I had a good time strolling in the city watching how people in the area live.

should take express- if you're coming from Shinjuku. Express railroad from Shinjuku takes 30 minutes- it means local trains take more than an hour or so. It's good to go to the Shimogiyajawa because it's on the same line. There are many accomodations near to the hotel: convenience stores, clothing houses, market. Machida looks a kind of big local cities outside of Tokyo main city,

Very far from Tokyo Station”

The hotel is very far from Tokyo City center. Our train ride going to the hotel is very expensive. Breakfast also is very early (7-830pm only). The hotel don't even have free water everyday. You really get the value of your money since we got the room very cheap.
