I LOVE THIS HOTEL! You can see it since you're entering the hotel lobby. In the room, it is even more eye-pleasing. I love the bathroom and the amenities as well. The location is superb, just next to the station and since Porto city is small, so everything is also in a walking-distance area. Very comfortable and convenient!

The hotel is located at a very situated area, walking distance to most of the sights and next to the train station. Room is big and loving the decor.

The staff is very nice and helpful. The breakfast is satisfactory but doesn't change from day to day. The weak point of the hotel is the lighting and electricity. We stayed in a very large suite and except for the bath area, the rooms are woefully under lit. There is more light in the catacombs! Dark patterned carpet and dark walls add to the glum aura. Unless you stay in your bed and use the reading lamp, it's almost impossible to read anywhere else in the room during evening hours. To me, light is crucial for mood and I certainly did not find my spirits boosted when I came back to the hotel after a day of touring an otherwise wonderful city. Also, there are only two outlets in the entire room and both of these are single socket.

It's good but it feels it trading off a reputation earned a while ago. Small rooms, disengaged staff and sloppy breakfast are the big negatives for me with only its location as the main plus. I will choose differently next time.

Exclenr location, very stylish, quiet rooms. Good breakfast buffet. Bathrooms have more glazing than plases to put things. Outlets also in short supply.

Hotel room is big and there are bathroom slippers. Walking distance to the Sao Bento train station and nearby attractions. But the lobby and walkway from lift to the room is dark. Welcome drink is provided upon check in.

Teatro is dark, miserable and depressing. From our initial entry my wife and i wanted to be out and could not enjoy spending time in the building. Porto is a pleasant city (we spent 4 nights there) but if we returned, which is unlikely) we certainly would be looking for accommodation elsewhere.

Overall great stay, location is nice, smith award hotel as the design is unique. Room is quite big, however it is a little dark for someone who probably need time to do some work inside the room. Breakfast is okay.

friendly reception and a normally a nice clean well kept room. great location, just far enough from the main activity of the city but well within reach of all you need. A bit dark inside the hotel as the hotel is build on cinema theme
