The hotel is about 10-15 mins' walk from the railway station, and even closer than that to Micklegate Bar (Gate) where there's a lovely souvenir shop. Staff were very helpful and allowed me to leave my luggage twice: early in the morning on the day I arrived, and after checkout on the day I left. Breakfast is a nice buffet spread with plenty of variety. I stayed three nights and the room was cleaned every day. There's a tasty fish and chips shop nearby and also a Sainsbury's Local.

Good ”
This is an ideal hotel to stay at for the price we paid, £28 for one night in a double room. The hotel is located in a great location for access onto the walls and centre, 5 minute walk. Some nice pubs on your doorstep also including BrewDog. The room is spacious and clean with a large walk in shower for two (optional). My only negative was that the shower water temperature did vary whilst using it. Other than that, very good value for money.

Good option for short say near York train station”
I stayed at this hotel because it was close to York Train Station, and I needed to take the train to London the next day. Very convenient, breakfast was good, and room was adequate i.e. nothing fancy but clean, modern and had everything I needed.

10-15 minute walk to the centre. Parking limited, on site. But car parks near by. Stayed mid week, residents of the hotel were quiet. Would recommend, if you want basic, and don’t plan to stay in your room all the time.

Hotel was organised during Covid pandemic. Staff friendly and approachable, especially Charlotte on reception who went out of her way to make our stay pleasurable.

Yet the sound insulation is terrible. There was a big group guest of high school girls (around 30-40 ppl) on my 1st night stay there, they were so loud and kept making noises on the hallway till 1am. Very annoying. The hotel staff was nice and change another quieter room the next day. If you are going to stay here and require a quality rest time, make sure they give you a room not close to the elevator.

Just only a few minutes walk to restaurants and grocery shops. We can walk to the city. It is quiet and safe there. Lovely city!

Good location as 10 minutes walk to town centre and although we didn't go by train the station was only 5 minutes walk. Good breakfast choice and it was nice. The girls on reception were very friendly and helpful, even though they were busy. The guys serving breakfast were efficient to. Under the circumstances of Covid we were a party of 5 and more than happy with our stay.

This Ibis has limited parking spaces. Having attained a parking spot on arrival was great for us. Just what we needed. Once payment was made our place was ours for 24 hours. This was excellent. Breakfast was very good. Otherwise everything is "just as it says on the tin".

Location good, walking distance to almost everywhere. Sunny and spacious room but we had 2 single beds which are very 'single' - reminds me of my childhood bed. And the squeaky floor, it's annoying most of the time.

Room was not make up (until requested). I have to request from the reception (2 days!). The maid came but did not make up the room (reason: the rule did allow her to clean up when the guests are around… ok, but, why when i m not around, nobody came to clean it?).
