Convenient location, good value ”

This place was all I needed. A comfy place to sleep (although be aware, the top bunk is really high lol), good WiFi, friendly staff, lounge area / kitchen on second floor, roof top on 6th floor. Close to JR station but I even walked to Tokyo station the next morning which took me about 20-25 minutes. Good price and would def stay again.

Boon: close to convenient store and S-9 green line train station Ban: For wood bunk bed, you always hear the noice surrounding you, even they just turn their body on bed. For door opened by password, you would be waken during the night by beep sound when neighbors press the passwords to get in the room. However, it was not bad if you had earplug or went out at night.

The staff were really nice but the place on there hand wasn't. Dirtiest place I stayed at in Tokyo. For a few extra dollars you could have a way nicer place. Only 2 showers in the whole hostel, 1 washroom per floor

Near train station”

This literally less than one minute walk to Bakurocho train station. There's no elevator, so if you have aching legs I suggest you request room on the 3rd flr. Common area is on the 2nd flr. Very affordable. This place is good if you only need a few hours to stop by and rest. The staff responded to my queries very promptly. He waited for me until past 11pm.

Very close to Bakurocho station. Great for jr pass holders. They onlyhave two shower thats on 2nd floor. Just a hassle that i have to take the stairs up to 5th floor if you need a shower. But over all, the place is great.

What I like best abt this hostel/guesthouse is its location. It is just fee steps from Bakurocho Station, which is a JR Station. From Narita Airport, I don’t need to transfer trains, with all my bags and luggages! I just rode the Sobu Rapid train which will stop at Bakurocho (NEX won’t stop here). And vise versa otw back to Narita. The staffs are good and can speak English. Bed is spacious and have curtains for yoir privacy. Bathrooms are clean and shampoo, conditioner and bath soaps are provided. There’s also a coin dryer and washer for your convenience. The only thing I don’t really want here is, THEY DON’T HAVE ELEVATOR! Which means you need to carry your luggages upstairs (or you can live it in front). But all in all, it was good. Good for tourists who just need a place to spend the night and in the morrow, explore the city. And great for those who have JR passes too! Cos JR Station is just few steps away (just like what ive said). And pls do try their beef curry downstairs! It was soooooo good!!

The only thing I don’t like abt this is they don’t have elevator. But the location is great, it’s few steps away from Bakurocho Station, which is a JR Station (a plus if you have JR Pass), and abt 150m away from Bakuroyokohama Station, where the Shinjuku line stops. Also near a lot of stores, few steps from 7/11 and Mini Stop. There’s also food houses nearby which is a plus. Staff are so friendly too! Two of them are interns who work part-time and they all speaks in English which is really a plus for tourists! I loved my stay here and will for sure choose this place again next time.

My point of view they take care more of the bar than the hostel. There is nobody until 11 am at the reception and not really helpful. The price was to high mayve for the cherry blossom season, the beds were good and that’s it ithe showers are at the 2nd floor and only two for women and 2 for men for the whole hostal so you need to queue or wake up early

It was a really comfotrtable stay”

l really appreciated that everone could have their privacy, thanks to the curtains. Especially as I slept in a shared room. As well as every bed had a small locker where you coukd store your things. Tge only cons that I had was, that my bed was smaller than all the others because it was right at a pillar and to fit it the cut out a piece of the bed. So I only got about half of the actual size they had written + plus the full size at my head end. All in all it was a nice stay though.

The only complain that I would have is that they failed to inform guest checking in on that day that there is a maintenance on going so we can't use our room/bed until 17:00 (check in time is 15:00) so I have to wait in their public space for an hour or so. The public space is not that bad but a little small.

Great and affordable”

I was going to Tokyo alone, and this place is perfect. Perfectly near to the station (Bakurocho/Bakuro-Yokoyama), only 2.5km to Ueno Park, I walk there for only 35 minutes, and only 20 minutes walk to Akihabara. Very strategic place

Loved the stay!”

I loved the place and I wish could've stayed here since day 1. I even wish I can stay longer. All the staff are sincerely friendly and helpful. It's very close to JR and Subway lines and a bus station right in front of the place. Conveniently almost right beside a grocery store (way cheaper than convenience stores), which helps you if you're in a tight budget. A restaurant and bar at the first floor for your fun fix. You also get a welcome (alcoholic/non-alcoholic) drink. The most spacious bed I've had so far.

Better place then some others”

It's relatively new - less than a year- at the time I was there & some improvement can be added. But over all, the place is great to get food in both upscale restaurants & economical places for about 6 bucks. One of the best amenity were free washers & dryers for use all days/nites long.

It was alright”

Things were clean, Staff very friendly, good/excellent location, Washer machine alright but the dryer was a bummer. I would recommend the spot to a friend(s). Price for what you get is acceptable, or may I say, worth each penny. Hope to visit again in the near future, had a cold but fun time in japan :) hehe!

Comfortable and great for backpackers”

I felt comfortable as soon as i got to the place and i was able to meet some cool people which is why I like staying in guesthouses. It’s also walkable distance (in my opinion) to Akihabara and Asakusa

BED BUGS please beware”

Hey, I saw old reviews of bedbugs but assumed they sre old problems. Unfortunately it is still an ongoing issue. Stayed for one night on 5th floor bunks. Got bit by bed bugs 6 times through the night and felt them crawl on my legs in the common room sofa. I showed the bites to the reception, they initially declined my request for refund but after having them call the owner i got my money back. The receptionist said its a problem theyve had for a few months and are still spraying. Just beware. Not worth spreading bedbugs just for a few dollar discount.

Cheap price but you can find better one in Shibuya around $41 per night as well ”

They smoke in front of the guesthouse so the I smelled smoke :( if you are unfortunately staying on the upper bunk bed, it’s disgusting as the pipes are above you and they are dusty. There’s only 2 shower rooms for each gender to all 3 floors of travelers. Not enough. Suspecting they did not charge the bedsheet, just tidy up the space each day.

Nice hostel , really nice staff but we got bed bugs”

Nice hostel The staff is friendly and really helpfull but my girlfriend got bed bugs and now we are stock to travel with this
