LifeHouse Spa - With the Girls”
I heard a lot of good things about this place and decided to try it out for myself, arrived to the place and realised local restaurants are terrible, the hotel restaurant menu was not interesting, the Spa smelt like Chlorine, the spa doesn’t do massage and u have to book from wayyy ahead before u go...the rooms was nice but doesn’t have a balcony rather than rails that looks like prison, the only thing I liked was that it had a lot of greenery around. Overall I won’t go again.

Garden and spa facilities were excellent though not impressed by hot stone massage. Disappointed that I could not book yoga or meditation class. I was not given any information about the classes on arrival.

A lovely spa surrounded by stunning gardens”
I came to stay with a friend. Our room was beautiful, with a balcony overlooking the gardens. We paid extra for this but it was worth it. The spa, classes and treatment were fine - busy in the day, but we used the spa facilities in the evening, when it was quiet and blissful. We booked the secret retreat, it wasn't as special as I would have liked. The food at the restaurant was delicious, particularly if you ordered the Italian options, and the bar was pleasant. The whole place spacious and light, surrounded by beautiful cultivated gardens. What made the Lifehouse extraordinary and different were the gardens, acres of paradisical lakes, with waterlilies and ducks. Ancient trees and beautiful walks. These wonderful grounds were quiet, and changed the whole experience beyond a reasonable spa in a nice building, into a blissful retreat. I would go back especially in Spring when there are bluebell woods, and Autumn.

Excellent Luxury relaxing break”
We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and this was the perfect place to do it. We loved everything about Lifehouse and are planning to definately book to stay again.

We had a wonderful view from our room. We enjoyed the incredible walks in the area. Perfect place to relax and re centre . Really great experience from begining to the end of our 3;night stay

Great place, great facilities, good value overall. Rooms clean and well equipped, maids very helpful. Terry, Restaurant manager was great, we didn't realise we had to book for dinner as residents so we told 'we're full', we should've been made aware of this upon check in. However, all restaurant and bar staff (along with Terry) were superb, helped us out we wee were seated and had a great meal, a great evening.

Set in beautiful grounds, as a spa facility the wet area is very poor state considering it isn't very old. Tiles missing, general poor state of cleanliness and underwhelming array of facilities for the price.

Very tired looking place. Only 40 beds round the pool for a full capacity hotel so we only got to sit down early evening. I know they are going to be doing it up so it won't be an issue for too long. Far too busy and not at all relaxing which is what we had hoped for.

Overnight stay ”
Paid £234.00 for a deluxe double room - what was deluxe about it I do not know ? No air con, bathroom extractor was covered in mastick, small window blind covered in dust , cheap toilet roll & room lighting very very dark - unable to do my makeup properly at all. Complementary water in plastic bottles placed directly in sunshine , so boiling hot & in drinkable . Double bed was two singles pushed together & made up/ very dissapointing. On checking out I was informed that I needed to pay for the wine I had ? Which I HAD NOT- on checking my file they could see signatures were different ? So basically if at the bar anyone quoting your room number could infact order drinks without staff even asking for proof of your pass key !! Not really acceptable is it.

lovely but food mediocre They ran out of semi skimmed milk - how disorganised can a large hotel be Managerial staff need quieter shoes they clip clopped about whenevery one else was quiet and serene
