Absolutely outstanding hotel”

I’m absolutely thrilled with this hotel. It is a four star hotel directly situated in the middle of Magdeburg, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. The main train station is about five minutes away. The hotel is stunning. The hotel has been newly built in 1995 and the design is indeed awesome. I had booked the cheapest available room category and got greeted with a very spacious 300+ sq. ft. room. The room was very clean and absolutely quiet. I have never had such a quiet hotel room in my life. And the hotel is situated in the very middle of the city. The best part was the beds. The beds were marvelous. Honestly, I got the best sleep of my life. The bathroom was spacious as well and very clean. However the hotel saved on shower gel. Room service provided only the tiniest amount. The room had plenty of storage space and closets. A 23 ft by 36 ft swimming pool is available in the hotel as well as a sauna. The hotel features an underground parking garage for €19 per day (weekends are at €14). Breakfast was €10 and was served in a very stylish and four star appropriate breakfast room. I was not having any breakfast and cannot tell whether or not it was good. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Free WiFi is available. But iOS/Apple devices had problems connecting to it. Staff was finally able to solve that issue. A/C was not working or the controls had no effect. Since it was fall and cold outside this was not a problem. The room was comfortably warm anyway. I highly recommend this four star hotel. Rooms, features and service as well as the staff and overall cleanliness are outstanding and absolutely worth the relatively low price.

I have already stayed in this hotel in the past. If available I always choose this hotel. It is centrally located right in the heart of Magdeburg. The central railway station is only five minutes away. All the scenic points and everything you want to visit is only a few minutes away. The hotel is visually stunning. The staff is friendly and helpful. And the rooms are quite spacious and also was very clean. An A/C is available in every room. There is an on-site restaurant as well as dozens of restaurants nearby. One of the best things in the room is the bed. The bed is extremely comfy. And I am somebody who hates bad beds. Even better is something else. I have stayed in several different rooms in the past. Every single room I have stayed in was fantastically quiet. I have never heard any sound whatsoever. So if you like a quiet room where you can relax and won’t be disturbed I highly recommend this hotel.

Very quiet and clean”

Centrally located right in the heart of the city. Lots of restaurants nearby. Plenty of public transport available. Rooms are clean and spacious. A/C however is not working all the time. Since I visited in February this was not of any concern to me. Breakfast is reasonably priced and served in a luxurious breakfast room. Staff is very friendly and helpful and often goes beyond what could be expected of them. Best feature: Rooms are exceptionally quiet. I’m a frequent patron of this hotel. Impften find very cheap rates, especially when I’m flexible with my schedule. I highly recommend this hotel.

Quite unforgettable experiences ”

The hotel is located perfectly in the old town and 5 minutes walking way from the main station. The hotel possesses a small swimming pool plus sauna and fitness studio which we well utilized. What surprised me most was the shuttle service from the hotel to the sport arena on the other river side (Elbe) far away from the city center where the German Open for Table Tennis took place. The biggest surprise was that almost all world top players were accommodated in the same hotel :-)

The wifi is not working. The AC is not working (not cooling for 10 days and they said nothing we can do). No cleaning for 2 days now. No electricity outlet near the bed from both sides. The restaurant is not always working for dinner or launch. The room is big but old furniture, dirty chairs. Nice pool, a little cold water, nice sauna and gym. Food is very overpriced.

We enjoyed our stay very much! It's an old-fashion hotel but very clean and spacious. The breakfast was awesome! We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back if we ever come back to Magdeburg again.

We felt very unwelcome on arrival and the reception lady was very unconstructive and impersonal. In such large international hotel in a city, I would expect to be able to order some snacks after midnight..

It was definitely the nicest hotel during our stay in Europe. Centrally located, steps from the train station, excellent bar, beautiful breakfast. Be sure to put the Maritim on your list if you’re in the Magdeburg area.

Room was big and clean. Location close to the Train station and everything else in the city. Hotel Lobby is beautiful. Staff very friendly. I had a very nice experience here and in this beautiful city.

Very nice, quiet hotel near train station”

We stayed for 3 nights. The staff was extremely helpful in giving us directions to a self-service laundry at our request (including a map and tram instructions). It was an excellent location (near the train station) to explore UNESCO sites in Potsdam and Quedlinburg (about an hour by train each way).

Clean and nice room but mixed services”

The reception service is fast and efficient. The room is clean and OK but no coffee/tea facilities. I've requested for double bed but were given 2 single beds joined together which created a gap in between when i shifted from left bed to right bed. In the room brochure stated that one of the restaurant opened from 2pm to 10pm but when i went down the staff said no chef and have to wait until 5pm. Went up to the room again and ordered room service which they delivered nicely (my rumpsteak is nicely done Chef! Thank you!!). Checkout is fast and efficient and with friendly faces...
