Lovely place to stay, basic but clean! The council decided to resurface the road through the night which wasn’t great even with the ear plugs. Breakfast was good and you couldn’t beat the value for money!

A huge room with high ceilings and massive windows.It was clean, could do with a bit of a freshen up paint wise,a bit hot at night,as on ground floor facing street with a restaurant below stairs was a little noisy at first, but setled down.Good shower.Friendly staff - would definately book here again.

When I first walked in I thought what have I done? I wish I’d paid more to stay somewhere nicer. On reflection I think I was being too quick to make judgement. The location is fantastic, just a few minutes walk into the centre of Bath, the staff were friendly, breakfast was basic but all you need (toast, cereal, fruit and boiled eggs) and the room was clean. The cons are that the furnishings are extremely basic and dated so if you want something that is anything like luxurious this is the wrong place to be. If you want something that ticks boxes in a good location that won’t break the bank, this is a good option. No parking but I paid £15 to park in the cricket club car park for 24 hours which is just a couple of minutes walk away.

My kind of place”
I have an abiding love for the shabbier sort of English hotel, complete with peeling paintwork, old mismatched furniture, and odd-looking stains on the carpets. Not run-down, you understand, or unhygienic, but comfortable and unpretentious. The Parade Park fits my bill. The fact that it is located right in the heart of the city is an added bonus. The staff with whom I came into contact were all as friendly and helpful as one could have wished.

The location is fantastic. However, buyer beware. If you a traveler who favors luxury and comfort then this place might not be for you. If your aim is a relatively reasonable price in a tourist town, then you might like this place. Some rooms are quite tiny and required shared bathroom so just know what you are booking.

only 25 watt light bulb for 200 sq feet room , very dark, cannot read book bath room floor is sticky, may be they used a wrong floor wax or paint material. but the price and location are very great.

I think it would have been better to inform me that there would be thumping loud music till the early hours, rather than just supply earplugs.. I would have gone somewhere else.

Place was good for locations d price ”
Nothing fancy, building is old and leaks when it rains in corridors, it is noisy when people are in corridors and on the stairs. Staff did the minimum and breakfast was very basic - overall it was ok. Everything you need for a one night stay at a good price

What an absolute disgrace to charge what they do for these rooms, absolutely horrible, I can't imagine why anyone who's used to European standards would consider paying this for what you get. The rooms are small without bathrooms and toilets, the smell of old carpet is overwhelming, no elevator, small beds, no view. The staff was alright even though we had minimal interaction with them, the only great thing about this "hotel" is that it's centrally located.

worst place ever”
wrong room given on arrival ,wouldn't have stayed in room as window wouldn't close and ear plugs on bed side table, moved to different room, uneven floor could easily trip on carpet, if you could call it carpet, draft through windows ,shower didn't use because of its state ,felt like the floor in shower room could give at any time, staircase just outside door so very noisy at night so not much sleep, no signal on tv , damp showing on ceilings phoned agoda ,call centre was Hong Kong ,guest house has a no re-fund policy, booked for 2 nights only lasted one. write ups and pictures looked good, but so so different on arrival.

City break”
Would not really recommend, as we booked for breakfast but was then told at check-in, no breakfast available due to renovations. TV didnt work in the room we were first given so moved to another room on 3rd floor with no lift to access. Rooms were also quite gloomy & needed a lot of repair. Also, a nightclub situated below hotel, which is very noisy until 3am

The hotel is excellent. The location is top. It is really near to Bath city center, Sydney Park, Bath Abbey, Bath Circus and many other tourist destinations. The room is clean and quite big, enough for 5 people, since we stayed here with 2 of my teenagers. Staffs are helpful, especially when we need to extend our staying in Bath. We will stay in this hotel again once we are in Bath.
