Premium look hotel … rooms so basic but clean … the layout of reception and entry exit … a joke … restaurant big prices average food … won’t rush back other hotels better than this

Dreadful service and overpriced”
I don’t usually write reviews and stayed in many hotels in my lifetime but really this enterprise is simply a money making machine with no interest in customer care or satisfaction. examples: 30 minutes to check in and without even being offered a drink of water for the wait. On checkout- I hadn’t even left the room and two cleaning ladies barged in literally as I was leaving without even waiting for me to exit. The breakfast wouldn’t even be suitable for hostel. The coffee was dreadful. The person who checked me out didn’t even have the courtesy to ask me how my stay way. Mediocre at best for a 3 star hotel. The bed mattress was lumpy. A pillowcase was torn and stained and. It wasn’t replaced after the first night. The only decent thing is the seating in the bar and that is it. Had I not needed to stay there for 2 nights I would have left. Over priced. Dreadful service all round. Only Lilly in reception is pleasant and customer oriented so thank you to her.

Bad experience ”
We’ve stayed here on a number of occasions and loved it. However, this time was just awful from the point of check in, at reception they had one staff member whilst there is a queue of 4 people all while other staff members stood nearby, we were then told to take a seat which then somehow meant the lady behind us got to check in before us...when this was mentioned to the staff member he was very defensive and stated I didn’t ask you to sit down...then we were asked to pay a deposit, we have stayed here on a number of occasions we were never asked for a deposit I also mentioned how in the booking confirmation there was nothing about a deposit... he then proceeded to show me part of the booking confirmation and claimed that’s where it was stated, when I said that’s not what it says suddenly the wondering staff member decides to chime in and suggest it’s internal policy...ok good but regardless of that I still need to know if you expect a deposit on arrival. The whole trip was ruined in a matter of 10 minutes. Glad it was only for one night

Lovely staff, great hotel”
3 of us stayed here in seperate rooms for our ‘Strictly’ weekend. We had lunch here and spa treatments. The food at lunch and at breakfast the following day was beautifully cooked. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed . All the staff we met from the concierge , the receptions staff, bar staff , spa staff were very professional and friendly and we just felt like they all wanted us to enjoy our stay....which we did! Everywhere around the hotel and in our rooms was spotlessly clean. The bed was extremely comfortable and we had a choice of pillows. Sometimes when I stay on Broad street, I hear a lot of noise outside as its a very busy area at night but the room was very well sound proofed so I slept really well. Would love to return sometime :-)

Don't have one of 4 rooms on each floor next to lift - and don't complain as they ignore you”
Our room 908 was situated behind the lift shaft. Every time the lift went up and down it sounded like an earthquake rumbling. Looking at the floor plan there are 4 rooms in such positions backing on to lifts on every floor. Terrible design! At 12.20am I rang reception to ask how we were supposed to get any sleep with the lifts making so much noise. We were told they were going to be switched off in 10 minutes. I asked how they could be switched off with guests needing to get to rooms and he didn’t answer. By 1am we had had enough. Clearly the lifts were not going to be switched off and so I rang again asking to be moved to another room. Yes the man sorted it, in fact he took us in the lift to another room! By 1.30am we had relocated to a room that was freezing as no one had been in there. By then we were wide awake and it took another 2 hours to warm it up enough. We got 2 hours sleep. Still awaiting response to complaint, sent four times now.

Three of us booked three separate rooms and the price was great for Birmingham city centre. Staff were polite and courteous and the rooms were spotless with everything you need. Definitely recommend a stay!

Such a lovely hotel ”
Really friendly staff on arrival, beautiful Christmas decorations in the lobby and at reception. Easy check in, offered a choice of room, discount on breakfast (which was really good and excellent value for money). Great location, overall a really good stay and would definitely recommend and stay here again!

MVSA awards in Birmingham hence the visit & stayed at the park Regis Agoda was excellent in making changes to an additional booking of mine & payment was accurate! The hotel was excellent- staff excellent. However breakfast was ok !!

Disappointed that on site parking advertised, however upon arrival informed that we would have to park in the Europa car park next door total cost £16 for our stay. When checking in we had to use two separate lifts (one to the reception floor,then another (a considerable distance away from the first lift) via the dining area/bar to our room. The room was `pokey', with barely 500mm between end of the bed and the wall. As the duvet on the bed restricted this walkway (to the bathroom) even more, this created a significant trip hazard. In addition, the bathroom did not have adequate hanging space for the towels, hence they could not be dried for use the 2nd day. In the event only one replacement towel was provided for the remainder of our stay. The cover plate for the door handle to the bathroom was also missing. On a positive note the location of the hotel was good. However the owners of the Park Regis need to `up their game' if they wish to grow their clientele.

Horrendous. ”
My brother helped build the Park Regis and when I told him the room we were given he grimaced and said ‘yeah, those are the rooms they put those who ‘walk in off the street in’ and they couldn’t fit the beds in the rooms so we had to cut them down’. For anyone who wants to know, room 1018. Don’t accept it.

I originally got the samll double but had to upgrade to the next size up as the room was small and no light was cmoing in. The window was very small and in the corner of the room. The double deluxe room was a spacious and lovely room

Well designed, comfortable room with everything you need. Unfortunately our room was right next to the lift which you could hear going up and down all night. Would stay there again but not if it had to be that room.
