The room was a bit too hot for me, but if you do not sweat easily it should be fine. the bathroom is nice and clean. The location is perfect, near tourist attractions and foods. The staffs are nice and able to speak English.

Loved staying here. We were 3x friends and each got a bunk. The room is so spacious and the beds are so comfortable, it was very private and enjoyable. The rooftop desk is absolute gold. Great view of harbour area, great sunshine or twinkling night views. No one else used it while we stayed there but thats ok, it was our private terrance for evening wine and then morning brunch in the sun. The building is very cool interior and design. Even if its your first trip to Hakodate or your 7th, this is in a great location. Book it!

Me and my boyfriend has been traveling around japan for 3 weeks all the way from Osaka, Tokyo to Hakodate. We’ve stayed in 15+ hotels & hostels in japan so far, this one is definitely THE BEST❤️ the hostel itself is a very nice building, shared bunk bed room is spacious and clean, nice shower room, common area on all floors, the best part is that they have a outdoor balcony where you can chill with nice ocean view! Staffs are extremely friendly and helpful, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Will come back to Hakodate just for this stay:)

I stayed 2 nights at mixed dormitory room. Location is perfect, it’s even accessible by walk from Hakodate station. Hotel staffs are nice and friendly, especially Alice. Her English is so perfect and gave clear informations about Hakodate. The hotel is also clean, the bed is comfortable and private. The female shower room is accessible with a passcode. There is a public kitchen and outside terrace where we can see the view of surrounding from the top. Many attractions are also accessible by walk. The hotel sells one day pass tram ticket to go around Hakodate and the nearest station very close from the hotel.

Great place, very beautiful building. The rooms are great, the bunks are very spaced out so you won't have a problem packing your luggage. It's very clean and spacious. The bed and linens were comfortable and very clean. Pajamas, toothbrush, slippers, comb, towels, shavers are provided. Very well equipped. The toilets are amazing and the bathroom is very clean. There is a kitchen which is well equipped and a roof top area to chill and enjoy the bay area of Hakodate.

My second time at this hotel and it was good! I booked a twin room, HUGE. Tram/streetcar serves this hotel. Just a short way away from the Tram station. Exit thru the cafe to Hakodate Redbrick Warehouse. Famous fast food Lucky Pierrot is just right from the Cafe exit. So good! Left of the main entrance are the Motomachi slopes. Was there during winter so there were lightups on the slopes. We were able to view fireworks from the redbrick houses too (near the waters). Long walk to Hakodate station, around 30mins.

Worth hotel to stay In Hakodate ”
I enjoyed 2 nights in this hotel and I believed that we had choose the correct decision to stay in this hotel. This hotel is clean, have spacious bathroom, good hotel service and strategic location to go around the tourist plot. Definitely I will be back again to Hakodate and stay in this hotel.

This is the best hostel I've ever visited. It's super clean with all the basic necessities of a hotel. The bunk room is also super spacious with a sofa in the room. The hostel is only 20 mins walk to the hokadate ropeway and 5 mins walk to the Brickhouse. Awesome hostel!

Loved my stay at The Shares Hotels HakoBA. Very clean and staff were all very helpful and friendly. The location was also very central and had easy access to all the major sites. Although I stayed in a shared room instead of a private room, each bunk had its own light, safe, and magnetic curtains. The room was also very quiet as everyone was very respectful and moved to the lounges (which were also fantastic) to chat and hang out. The only con is that the bunks may not feel as comfortable if you were taller or a little claustrophobic. The washroom facilities were also shared, so someone who doesn't like sharing probably wouldn't like them. But they were pretty much sparkly clean, so they were the best imo! Overall, highly recommend!

I went to Hakodate with no plans and booked this place. That is the best choice that I made. The place is so aesthetically beautiful. Also, it is near so many spots like the red-brick districk, motomachi park, and mount hakodate. The breakfast is really good too. I would love to go back!

Cozy place to stay”
We only had one itinerary in Hakodate and that is to eat Fresh King Crabs. We went to this hotel for an overnight stay so we can get up early and go to the market. The bed is a bunk bed but big enough for a couple to share the lower bed together. Good for couples who want to cuddle in the cold weather. The location is very near to restaurants where you can eat at night. And 10-15mins walk to the market in the morning.

Good value for money! Location is great as well, just beside the red bricks warehouse and Many attractions are within walking distance like the jyujigai and Hakodateyama ropeway. A convenience store nearby by the name of hasegawa sells yakitori grilled on the spot and it taste great( salt and pepper chicken). Staff’s command of English was also better than expected!

Holy cows, this place. Just too cool. Just a couple stops from Hakodate train station by tram. Loved that it was close to the water and had a fabulous view from the rooftop of the bay. The staff were sooooooo kind and friendly. Felt bad that I had to ask them to help me with this and that. Stayed in a female dorm and loved how spacious it was with a seating/lounge area and a changeroom. The entire hotel was just super modern and functional. Do please check out the play room, kitchen and rooftop. Don't think I've enjoyed the amenities of a hotel as I have at The Share Hotels Hakoba. Try renting their electric bicycle for a fun and quick way to explore the area, but take caution of the contents in your basket as the sidewalks can be bumpy. Again, thank you everyone at Hakoba for making my stay super memorable. PS - The burger place next door is to die for!

Several sight seeing spots are near the hotel (e.g. the Red Brick Warehouse, the Ropeway to Hakodate Moutain). And the staff are all very helpful and friendly. The design of the room and the whole place is so trendy and hip. We enjoyed the stay and would definitely stay in the same place again if traveling to Hakodate again!

Nice hotel with good location and good bed”
Room is nice, clean and considered spacious, bed is so comfy. Though toilet/shower rooms are outside the room, there are clean. You need to carry your luggage to some levels, even there is a lift. Location wise is good, as it is near the Kanemori warehouse(close at 6pm) and Lucky pierrot. We parked the car near the hotel, it's only 400yen per night. Breakfast is decent with bread, eggs, salad.. Since the morning market is near, you may want to explore morning market for breakfast...

ที่พักสวย สะอาด มาก เดินไม่ไกลจากสถานีรถราง อยู่ใกล้ แหล่งท่องเที่ยวหลายอย่าง สามารถ เดินจากที่พัก เที่ยวได้สบายๆ The hotel is near tram station . I walked to the warehouse, church , slope and ropeway station in few minutes. The room is very clean . Hope to stay there again.

This hostel is very spacious and clean. Towels, pyjama and toothbrush are provided everyday. Toilets and bathrooms are big too. Most of all, a playroom is provided so that you can talk on phone or use your computer in a comfortable space. However, one thing that was quite disappointed abt is that many staircases throughout the hostel. Even lift can't reach each floors. Travellers with big suitcases may have to pay attention to it. Overall speaking, the location is superb because it is just aside the red brick warehouse and church area.

The hostel is not near to the JR station, you may either take the tram or walk 20-25 minutes from JR station to the hostel. However, the area around the hostel is good and it is near to Hakodate hill, church area and red brick houses, there is also a delicious burger downstairs! Though it is not near to the station, I still recommend it. The room for 8 girls is spacious and clean, toilet and shower are also clean. There is a roof top where you can see the harbour.
