Stayed at the Bloomsbury Hotel for an overnight stay to see a show. Excellent location to walk into Covent Garden/Drury Lane. We didnt need to get a bus!

The staff at hotel very helpful and friendly. We had a problem with the tv and someone came within 5 minutes, fault was only the aerial lead which had come out. Our room great and the breakfast was really good plenty of choices

A shoutout to the reception team for lending us adapters. The breakfast buffet here is SUPERB, can highly recommend it. The rooms are tidy and has everything you need.

Had a birthday celebration in London, the room was lovely, the staff very welcoming and a very nice breakfast the next day which was much needed.

Fantastic accommodation ”
This was a great place, fantastic position to explore London. Starbucks next door, a Prita just up the road and a 5 min walk to the London Underground train network (the Tube). Buses and taxis are also easy to catch. The Thistle staff were very helpful and I enjoyed a sumptuous breakfast there, it was everything you could want. Good room service menu. Area is also surrounded by a variety of F&B. Avoid staying on level 7 as the lift only goes up to level 6 and you have to walk up the steps to go to the top level.

The location of hotel is good, easy to find from Russell Sq station. Staff was friendly and really helpful and allows us to check in earlier which was really caring.

Great value for money. Fairly basic rooms but has everything you could need for a short stay. Good location & lovely variety of food available for breakfast.

Ok for a bed in a good location ”
Pros: Great location, we went to see a show at the Hippodrome and it was easy to get to via tube etc. Beds were comfy. Cons: Strong damp smell in bathroom, walls had bad damp damage to them in the corridor. Only 2 plug sockets in the bedroom! One had tv plugged into it and the other had a lamp. So charging phones and devices was a bit of a game. Thank God the trains on the way home had plug sockets!

Room was small, basic and very tired looking. BUT it was cheap for a last minute booking over the jubilee bank holiday weekend in London! The breakfast was nice (pretty standard buffet style). Staff were friendly although the receptionist struggled with english which we got around by our writing details down.

The room was very basic , unfortunately for us our view was the air dux system and there was untold pigeon poop outside our window ledge so you felt you couldn’t open the window, the keys to our room hardly worked , so had to keep going to reception, once taking half hour to sort out the mirror in the bathroom didn’t work and was half hanging off. On the plus side the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was very good. Staff very friendly. For us it was a one night stay and because we were out for most of that the hotel was ok .

Bargain. 3 rooms 6 of us. Windows old so no double glazing meaning traffic noise. That said I was only disturbed once by a siren. Breakfast was great. Location fantastic. 15 mins to Covent Garden walking.

The location wasn’t terrible, was a nice quiet hotel, clean enough, facilities were ok, you get what you pay for at the end of the day. Hotel staff were very friendly and got up checked in early for us as we needed to be somewhere. Breakfast was good and good variety, even catered for my gluten free needs. Only one thin pillow on each bed which wasn’t great, but I’m sure if I’d of asked for another they would have got me one.

The location was ideal for our needs during our stay. Our room was small and cramped, the bathroom wasnt fully clean and our room overlooked a sidewalk with pubs and restaurants and it was noisy until quite late. Overall, it wasnt anywhere near other hotels we have stayed in in london for a similar price.

Great location but disappointed with hotel ”
Hotel was more basic than expected. Room was nice but bathrooms need major updating as toilet was leaking and door wouldn't close. There were issues with my booking through website but staff corrected them without issue. Breakfast was only okay - very expensive for the standard of food provided. Great location but some improvements needed on the hotel basics.

I was really disappointed with our stay. On arrival the room had a funny smell and we were very surprised to see light fittings and bed side units not properly fixed to the walls. The building itself could do with a bit of TLC. The beds were comfy. The breakfast The eggs were under cooked
