Beautiful setting in the middle of nowhere.... yet so close to Bath!”

Breathtaking views from the wonderfully restored mansion. It was so worth going down the bumpy narrow lane to get there. Warm welcome and helpful staff when we arrived. Spacious room and shower room with lots of hot water and fluffy towels. Very comfortable bed and delicious breakfast with lots of choice.

Fantastic get away with easy access to Bath”

The property was in a beautiful setting, very clean with lovely staff. The room was spacious and the bed comfy. There is no mobile phone signal which personally I found to be a good thing although others may not. Breakfast was excellent! I would definatley stay again.

Ideal location for Bath”

If you want to visit Bath but avoid the crowds, expensive city centre hotels and all the hustle and bustle then The Waterhouse is for you. Located in peaceful countryside just a 10 minute drive into the city centre with clean and spacious rooms, very comfortable beds, good facilities and free WiFi. Best of all - total quiet for a good nights sleep. Accommodation is 'room only' and we did not sample the breakfast as we left early but the menu looked good. There are some award winning, highly recommended pubs nearby (try the Wheatsheaf) if you don't want to return to Bath to eat in the evening. All in all a very pleasant stay and we plan to return for some walking in the area.

Quiet / Beautiful location”

The hotel is situated outside Bath in a beautiful and quiet location. The room is big enough compared with others. There is no A/C though. We stayed in May which is early summer and it's not hot at all. Staffs are good and very helpful.

This was our second stay here and it's very quiet and charming, only 10 minutes from Bath, in a quaint village setting. Loved it.

A Bit Rundown”

The old Mansion needs some serious repair work and its setting was not wonderful. Not easy to go for a stroll by the river as no clear pathway. It felt pretty rundown apart from the bedrooms which were well-appointed.

The stay was good other than the location which is a little far from city centre. Only recommended if you drive as the route into the hotel is quite secluded.

We had great difficulty finding it,especially as there were major diversions at the time, but the sign at the end of the track needs to be bigger, a map beforehand would also be good, the hotel itself made up for the initial frustration.

Nice and quiet place for relaxing”

Enjoyed my stay, breakfast was good and am pleased with the room. Reception staff in the morning was great but the male staff processing my check in was not as attentive. Very pleased that the hotel has a lift. Overall a good stay. Pity we did not have much time but we think that it will be a great hotel for relaxation.

Nice and cozy”

Overall, we had a lovely stay in the hotel. The location is quite scenic as it has a great view of the hills and isolated which gives us the feeling of relaxed and chilled holiday. Our room is very cozy, good and spacious bathroom. Free tea & coffee, bottled water in the fridge and there's even a blower/dryer already provided! There's a strong signal for the wi-fi (in some hotel, this can be an issue) The only one down side that we can think of, is there's no phone in the room, so you have to come down at the reception for any of your concerns or requests, though there's always a staff in the reception anyway and they're very friendly and accomodating...will definitely come back:-)
