Hadrian's Wall walkers ”
We stayed at the hotel as we completed the Hadrian's Wall Walk. We were able to have a lovely bath and the rooms were warm cosy too. The staff were brilliant and the hotel was lovely. Great location too.

Over night stay with my sister.”
I arranged the booking for my sister’s 60th Birthday and we went to see Jane McDonald at The Sands Centre. Lovely hotel, staff were friendly and professional. Room had two single beds which were so comfortable. There were two pillows each which were the thinnest pillows I have ever seen. A TV, bath, shower, tea/coffee facilities, wardrobe with hangers supplied. The bar and restaurant area are lovely. We had our evening meal at the hotel and the service was spot on. The only thing about the meal was, the chips were reheated chips. We had nachos to share, I had scampi and my sister had the salmon. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and I wish my sister and I could of stayed here for more nights.

Lovely hotel & great value”
We stayed in the Cumbria Park Hotel for 1 night to attend The Script concert at the Sands Centre. It was conveniently located a short 10min walk away. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant before the concert & the waiting staff were very attentive. The staff throughout the hotel were very pleasant & helpful - especially the evening receptionist when we had to book an additional room last minute for a friend attending the concert who had taken unwell & was unable to travel home that night as planned. We would definitely stay at this Cumbria Park Hotel again.

The place is old and we found it uncomfortable It is a warren of rooms and we struggled up and down stairs with our bags looking for our room. Currently going through renovations. The bedrooms need it too. A creaky bed that sagged in the middle!

We had a 2-night stay and whilst the hotel was tidy and run well, there were some disappointments. The connecting route to our room was under repair, so we had to walk to it outside the hotel, past some rubbish bins. The room itself was OK, but the bathroom extractor fan didn't work and the shower was plumbed wrongly so that the knob turned hot to give cold, and cold to give hot. The cooked breakfast was a little expensive, so we opted for continental. That was adequate, but there were no meats or cheese which would have made it a proper continental breakfast.

Disappointed ”
Having been born and bred in Carlisle and spent years listening to people saying how good Cumbria Park was, I was very disappointed with my stay. I booked for 15 nights. We were put in a small room overlooking the car park at the rear of the hotel. One of the reasons I booked was because it has a gym. I was extremely disappointed to find out that I needed to pay to use it!!! The hotel is looking its age now and the cleaning staff sometimes cleaned the room properly and other times just straightened the bed. Left coffee cups unwashed, didn't change the towels etc.....

No running cold water in the room”
Unfortunately our stay here was ruined by no running cold water in the room. No drinking water, couldn't flush the toilet or take a shower. In fairness we received a full refund the next morning but still a shame.

“Spacious dining room, Friendly staff, Bedroom with Bath & Shower””
Booked this venue at the last minute, not really knowing anything about the Cumbria Park Hotel. We were pleasantly surprised with the standard of the hotel, from our room, a spacious dining room, and a good English cooked breakfast. The tea in the urn was a bit weak for our taste, so we mentioned this to a member of staff on duty, who happily went to the kitchen and made us a fresh pot of tea without any aggravation, so 10/10 for that. Tables were covered with a fresh white cloth, topped with a green square cloth, so looked inviting. The only point I would make is that the flashing Christmas lights around the windows could be problematic for someone who suffers from epilepsy, so if that's you, pick a table towards the centre of the restaurant.

I enjoyed my stay at the Cumbria Park Hotel. Room was nice equipped, bed was very convenient. I was there just for traveling through from England to Scotland. Arrived late in the evening, but check-in at this time was not a problem. Nice convenient restaurant and bar (but did not have breakfast - cannot rate). Would go there again!

Great place to stay”
We found this hotel on Trip Advisor & bagged a bargain! The room wasn't overly spacious but sufficient for our needs. The staff were friendly & very helpful. With me being disabled, they directed us to a level access entrance/exit, which made it more direct to our room without having to cope with the 2 huge steps near the dining room. The car park is good & they have 4 disabled parking spaces just outside the rear of the hotel. The bar is nice as well, but drinks are a bit pricey. On the whole, if you're looking for a place to stay in Carlisle, please consider this hotel. I'm not sure what it would be like for families, but it's great for singles or couples & it's central. (Just over the river Eden from city centre shopping!) We'll be checking in again!

A great value short stay”
We had a great deal through agoda and used the Cumbria Park to break our journey further north. Hotel was clean. Staff were helpful and food in the Restaurant was good. Nice but small outdoor seating area made the most of the good weather. Room was clean and tidy, but the bed was too soft for me so it wasn't the best nights sleep I've had, but maybe that's personal taste. The hotel décor style was dated, but that's not a comment on the standard as it was obvious that redecoration is regularly undertaken. Breakfast was buffet style and plenty of it. Would use the hotel again for a short stay or to break a journey.
