Birmingham Central Station Apartment (Flat 2)

Spacious

There is no door to your living room and it feels a bit scary at night when all lights are off. The road of the property seems isolated which I believe is due to the construction work going on.

It was very comfortable and quiet and within easy walking distance from amenities. Also less than 10 minutes from the city centre. I would definitely recommend

I can't think of anything I didn't particularly like.

It is very close proximity to the main shopping area. Less than a five minute walk. The apartment was spacious and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. Free parking was also a factor in booking this accommodation

The pillows were like pancakes. The duvets were very thin. More suitable for summer than winter. Toaster was broke with a note in the cupboard saying not to use. The flat is next to a major railway line with at times more than a train a minute passing by. These are very loud and would definitely affect a light sleeper. The TV had no signal and wasn’t working.

The flat was perfect. Clean & exactly what we needed.

Lovely big apartment and centrally located, and when inadvertently left items, staff went the extra mile to ensure they were returned. Really good value.

Surrounding area was being renovated, and environment left a bit to be desired, wouldn't have wanted wife and daughter to stay there.

It was central and somewhere to put your head at the end of the day really. Good shower. Quirky building.

The pull out was an old camping frame which was extremely uncomfortable. In the end none of us used it and 3 of us shared the double bed. The sofa was useless as you practically sank straight to the floor. Not enough cutlery for 3 people and no tea towel to dry washing up or get items out of the oven.

it is next to HS2 station site , and the area around flat is being dug up / redeveloped . very difficult to drive to if you come from north or east - all the roads are being dug up for HS2 . if you drive in from west it can be super quick , so plan ahead and beware the road closures

F.A.O: Manager / Supervisor In response to the unacceptable conditions of the property that my family and I paid to stay in, for the purpose and preparation of attending my Late Partner and Father of my Son’s Funeral. I have clearly expressed and attempted to get an acceptable refund for the: Disrepair, Distressing AND INCONVENIENCES CAUSED! Upon arrival we were doomed, the location being under a railway track has taken it’s toll on the property and it showed. Furthermore the oven did not work and the cutlery and pots / pans were stained the glasses all two of them were not adequate as we had a group of 3. There was no ironing board a travel iron the size of my hand. The camp bed was not adequate for anyone to sleep on the windows full of dust there are two asthma sufferers within my group. We had to spend excess monies for food after preparing food for cooking in property and iron clothes at dry cleaners. The cracks and gaps in property are unacceptable if this was a live in rented property I would employ a disrepair solicitor. As it is not I am seeking a resolution from you as Booking.com have allowed this imposter to misrepresent with misleading photos on web site and defraud customers from our hard earned money. To encounter an experience quite frankly from hell. I do not accept £19 in my Booking.com wallet as any form of resolution, also any refund offered can be refunded to my bank card. As I find it extremely insulting after all the facts I have presented, you assume I want to continue using your service by credit to my wallet. This experience has caused my family and me too much stress and they are not happy with resolution offered. I look forward to the next response being an acceptable one. Truly exhausted with it all.

Layout was good and location close to centre of town. People need warning about current building works as google maps takes you to the other side of bridge.

The TV would be better in the lounge. There wasnt enough glassrs or cutlry. The couch in the living has seen better days. Not comfortable to sit on.

Not much to be honest..It was spacious.

It's on on a building site. They did not provide the service advertised and charged for.They said we would get certain things like tea,biscuits,toiletries They were used stuff.The apartment was not cleaned throughout our stay yet we were charged.

Right beside train line, trains passing every 5mins. Very noisy. Location felt like being in a ghetto, grafetti everywhere and right beside abandoned old buildings with broken windows. Would not recommend staying in this area. Not the fault of the management agency, but currently there are major road works ongoing and the noise levels every day from early morning was horrendous..something they could warn guests about. Photos I've attached are all from outside the building. No gates at entrance either, despite the check in guide saying its a gated property.

The place was quite spacious, and it was clean. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom & shower was a good size. We have originally booked for 2 people but needed for 3. They changed our booking with no problem and even didn't charged us for the 3rd person. It was very kind and I was very impressed. Thank you.

Unfortunately there was lots which the property must improve. When we arrived we have immediately noticed that we had only 2 big towels instead of 3 (we were 3 adults), no small (face) towels. No toilet paper, no coffee or tea or even kitchen towel to dry dishes. Furthermore, there was only 2 glasses and no wine or champagne glasses. No hair drier even though all was listed as being available in the property. The 2nd toilet door was very difficult to open due to the carpet so we could not use it. Also the fridge had no freezer part in there, so we could not use ice for our drinks. The shower hose was leaking and the sink tab was really hard to open. I have contacted the property immediately and,was promised that they will contact the landlord however nothing has been rectified. Very disappointing.

Currently outside environment under restructuring, with road works everywhere. The apartment was reasonably quiet at night. Comfortable and the shower is very powerful, which liked.

Windows dirty buy I understand why with all the road works taking place. 3 Hand towels, I would have liked at least 1 bath towel.

The large space was lovely and open kitchen. Good parking and extremely close to the centre.

The road works outside were noisy throughout with some squeaking pipes. Little things in the property need to be sorted ie: windows are hard to shut properly, lock where key is held is tough to open, 1 toilet roll left between 2 toilets, tap in bathroom is either full or nothing

Living it

The only good thing about this apartment was leaving it. 1. booked the apartment and paid right away month before arrival 2. After that I have been told by the landlord I need pay 250£ of deposit which wasn’t advertised when booking the place. The deposit wasn’t a pre auth on my cc but instead a bank transfer to some “Dragon ltd” company made by some insecure 3rd party link. It ire meant to be returned 3 days after a check out - per landlord. What a scam already right?! 3. I didn’t want to pay as this was just too much for me to spend. So I requested either 1) drop the deposit as they didn’t advertise it or 3) refund my money and cancel the stay. NONE of those options were accepted by landlord. Booking.com tried to help but at the end they did nothing helpful. Another scam right. So I had to pay the dam thing or I would lose double of it. 4. Arrived in the apartment: * Easy check in I’ll give them that * Dirty and smelly * It looks like the picture but everything is very old and used and worn out * There is two single beds not a double bed as advertised with two singe duvets * There are just curtains and no blinds so everyone can see into the apartment from the street and it’s right on a very busy street ( bedroom included) * There is YEASR of ROADWORKS happing between 7 am and 6 pm. Forget about sleeping in ever! Plus you need to have the curtains closed all the time or builders will see you business constantly. The noise of the roadworks are just unbearable and if you had to work like me from the place - forget it, you won’t be able to concentrate.
