Værelserne er ikke fantastiske, men har tilstrækkeligt til at være tilfredsstillende. Det kan være en smule lydt, og hvis ens værelse er tæt på en branddør, vil man høre et smæld hver gang, der er nogen der går igennem den. Men hotellets beliggenhed i forhold til centrum og jernbane kan ikke være bedre. 3 minutters gang til indgangen til Birmingham station og Bullring shopping centeret.

Good for emergency only ”
The room was clean & spacious. Key wouldnt swipe but Staff were excellent & helpful . Wi fi was crap ... poor reception at 8th floor. No Parking of hotel so had to park in high gate parking which cost extra & was a rip off. Was charged £12 for one night when the hotel stamped my ticket . Only one lift was operational so long wait to commute between ground floor & 8th floor. Book if you really need to be in the town centre & have parking options.

Having read some good reviews and some very bad reviews prior to staying we decided to read between the lines and stay at the Britannia. We had a very small room adequate for our needs, very clean although when one used the bathroom the noise from the water pump sounded like a tractor. Can not comment about the hotel facilities food etc., as we were out most of the time and didn't eat or drink there. Although the tea and coffee in our room were not the best of quality. The location was in a very good position for shopping and the railway. The only thing about the area was the low life beggars on the street keep pestering one for cash, where I live the police would have moved them on and if I was the hotel security staff I would have moved them on away from the hotel entrance. The other thing I didn't like in the street the bible punchers pestering one, they did not like it when I told them I was a none believer and religion was the route of evil and wars. Hotel was Ok

Really well located so makes getting around gown easily. Unfortunately the room I got was nothing like the photos in the description. Main photo is also out of date and is from before the Main Street was pedestrianised. Nice staff though. You only sleep in the room.

I was comfortable in my room. Only problem was the noise level next door and the bathroom suite could do with refurbishment (toilet handle came off when tried to flush it.). No bin in the room which was awkward. Could not turn heater on. Only perk was smoking rooms.

Good value of course. Only two real negatives Check in can be extremely slow especially if an earlier customer has any sort of problem or a customer already booked in has a query. Needs an extra member of staff on desk at busy times they are working hard but need more help. I stay many times but have never seen both lifts working at same time ?

No free WIFI in the room??!”
Strong Points 1. Location; next to station, easy to go out for travel points. 2. Price; this hotel was the cheapest hotel near station. Week Points 1. No free WIFI in room. Free WIFI is allowed only in lobby, restaurant and bar. You have to pay additional pay for free WIFI in room. 2. In my case, TV remote controller didn't work. They changed my remote controller but it didn't worked either. I could not use remote controller until my check out. 3. They doesn't clean my room day by day. I think they clean your room and change towels in every 2 days while you stay. 4. They had 2 elevators but only 1 was available. 5. The building seems to be very old. There was a big scratch on the wall in my bathroom. Conclusion. If I visit Birmingham again, I would like to try another hotel. But for the first time travelers, location is remarkable value. And it takes only 5 minutes from station to this hotel. So if you are not familiar with Birmingham, you could try this hotel.

Nice and quiet. A bit stuffy due to no windows. Small double room adequate for one person. Sink drain smelly. No bath plug. Bathroom clean. Bedroom walls dirty including foot marks. No room service as requested.

Good location, good breakfast, bad facilities”
Lets talk about the bad stuff first: After entering into the horrible looking building, registrering in the shabby reception area and waiting forever for the elevator (since only one of two was working) in an unbearable heat (even when it was only 15 degrees celcius outside), the worst shock were over. The rest was sort of ok; fairly clean room, ok (but hard) beds, good breakfast - and very helpsome personell :-)
