This was our first time staying at Hilton and we were extremely satisfied. We were a bit skeptical, thinking since the lockdown just finished, hotels will not have kept their rooms in the best conditions or if they laid off their staff, the quality would have gone down. But it was definitely not the case for Hilton! Everything was spotless and service from checking in until checking out was excellent. Breakfast is the best we’ve had so far. Excellent service by all staff at Makan restaurant and the choices were really overwhelming! Only complaint we have was the dinner we ordered. We were really looking forward to a delicious dinner (after reading reviews about excellent breakfast at Hilton when we booked the hotel) so it was really a total letdown when the food arrived, cold and not tasty at all. Quantity was good, for the price, but so sorry to say that we really didn’t like the taste at all. The paneer kadai tasted like caramelized onion… tandoori chicken didn’t really taste like tandoori chicken and didn’t look fresh. The burger was ok, not great, but it was fine. If the dinner was even half as good as their breakfast spread, it would have been the best stay we’ve had in Johor ever! In summary: Service is excellent Room is spotless with comfortable bed Breakfast is excellent In-room food can be better Thanks Hilton, we will definitely come back again and will also try your other hotels… Oh and one final note: their welcome cookie is the best ever! I was hoping they would also give goodbye cookies when we checked out… that would have been a perfect ending to an almost perfect stay at Hilton!

Amazing, comfortable and memorable stay!”
DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel is one of the best hotels that I have had stayed. The most apparent and obvious positive feedback goes to it’s absolute excellent customer service. There’s no doubt about it! We all stayed in the hotel for a birthday celebration of our mother’s, 5 of us were staying in two connecting rooms next to each other - King One Bedroom Suite and Double Double Guest Room. Prior to the arrival, we requested for both of the rooms to be ready between 12-1PM for an early check-in, at the highest floor and next to each other. All requests were very well noted and taken care. The in-room service was excellent though it was a little bit slow. The foods served were all good especially the Char Kway Teow! Scrumptious! In terms of the rooms, they were very cleaned, comfortable and cozy except the bathroom in the suite didn’t have a lock but overall was very spacious. In summary, we all had a very pleasant and memorable stay! Kudos to the whole team of DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Johor Bahru!

Top quality hotel, staff customer friendly, felt great”
This is the 2nd time I have stayed at Doubletree . Overall experience is great, from the start entering the hotel, reception each of one friendly and customer minded, I lost my charger and they did everything to assist, breakfast is great too, each staff is friendly, warm and very helpful. It makes you feel very comfortable and they are sincerely friendly. This has been one of the best hotels in Asia. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. They have a great excellent Italian restaurant at the 13th floor and also a great pool! Our kids would not want anything else then staying at Doubletree again. Thumbs up for everyone! Especially for the lady at reception; Suhaily! Kudo for you! And also the concierge!

A very pleasant stay. ”
Starting with their hospitality at its best. Welcomed by the staff really well. Almost everyone greeted during the 3D2N stay. They provided warm tasty choc cookies during check in process. The lift service was super fast. The hotel ambiance was just right at every corner & they do keep it nice with some lovely scent smell around. The room was just perfect!. Well arranged, great lighting, super clean, comfortable bed, nice view, ac temp perfect & the rain shower temperature was the best! Room service attented super fast. They do have a pool, sauna & a gym on the 13th floor. Should be rebranded to 5 star just like the one in KL. Compared to some other 5 star hotels, Doubletree JB is way much better.

Check in: Upon arrival, valet staff greeted us. Erra @reception was very friendly, efficient, told me all facilities within the hotel incl. breakfast buffet info. Our room was also upgraded to a higher floor which had a great unobstructed view of JB and across the waters to Singapore. Room: Very spacious , comfy beds with options of different pillows. wifi very good. Tv had ok choice of channels, would prefer more sports. Rain shower in bathroom was powerful. very few amenities in bathroom but can call for extra if needed. Free slippers were provided. Breakfast buffet: Was told there was a meat grill but was not available. Good choice of Asian/western/Indian food. Also fresh pancakes/pastries and ice cream on offer. Overall the food was a bit bland, would have expected better by Hilton standards. Amenities: Nice sized outdoor pool and indoor gym but did not use. Local amenities: There is a local Thai massage place open 11am-3am with very good prices. If need foot massage in the morning best to ask the night before. We were hoping for a nice foot massage before return to SG, but ended up at massage in City mall opp CIQ. There is also a local 77 (like 7-11) and local Malay food place if fancy early/late night snack at local prices. Would recommend staying here as close to CIQ. Taking a grab ride only costs 6rmb to/from CIQ.

Stayed there for 3D2N, it was great, front desk staff was friendly (i checked in and out with Ms. Ain) no que at all, just stand there and the staff straight away invite you to their counter, they are always ready to help you and offer you warm cookies upon checking in. Free parking space (the only downside is that we hv to come down to lobby to validate parking ticket each time). The room is clean and neat, water pressure for rain shower is great, love it so much. Breakfast at Makan Kitchen was good too. And the staff are all so efficient and helpful. I guess due to covid SOP, most of the food are served by staff but just tell them how much you want, they'll fill up your plate generously.

Can get enough of The Cookies!”
The best for me and my family. Greeted with some cookies that are fresh from oven (my children love them and very delicious). Booked for 2 rooms. The rooms are very comfortable for us to stay there. We have a difficulty upon arrival (because we booked thru Agoda and can't request for same floor rooms and connecting doors) but reception staff very efficient and give us what we requested (upon availability). Breakfast are the best for me so far but not very much choices (due to MCO). But at the end we all have a great time staying at Double Tree JB. Hope we can stay there again on the future!

Breakfast buffet spread is exceptional. I'd recommend booking with the breakfast option. Staff at the dining area were cordial and friendly. Coffee/ Tea were offered when they have found you a place to sit. It is these details that matter! Although a charged phone call was made when our room was being made and we were out at that time, it was waivered at checkout. Location is pretty centered so it is convenient to travel around. Carpark is spacious and has ample lots. Room, sheets and toilets were very clean.

Had the one bedroom exec suite. the room looked smaller than expected as it was compartmentalised with a sliding door separating the bedroom area from the sofa area. Check in was smooth and the cookies given were delish. The pillow menu was a lifesaver as the in room pillows were too flat. Bed was comfortable and clean. Had access to the executive lounge and the canapes during the evening were delicious. Breakfast was not bad too, at the Makan Kitchen. Remember to request for your free parking coupon at check out so you dont have to pay the RM 10.

We had booked the Twin Double with executive access and it was our 1st stay in JB and at the Doubletree Hilton . Glad that parking was complimentary and very nice to receive a warm cookie upon arrival . The room was comfortable and updated and very good toilet and shower and toiletries from Crabtree N Evelyn . Food was very good and the Executive lounge is very welcoming if you prefer to dine privately . Would like to commend the staff at the Executive lounge for their hospitality and hard work during the holidays as we spent quite a bit of time there . Many thanks .

Great hotel with Excellent Service ”
Check-in was smooth. Upon arrival, was provided with their signature cookies. Great awesome cookie. Able to get a connecting room with late checkout. Room is clean and spacious. The gym and swimming pool can only be access by hotel occupant. It’s well maintained and clean. The breakfast was well spread. Can choose from Malay, Chinese, India and Western. If you love spicy, try their sambal udang or sambal bawang. It’s super nice!

Everything is just perfect”
Let’s just skip the fact that double tree is an international brand. The fact that they able to upkeep its cleanliness during Covid is just superb! Rooms are specially sanitized and a sticker will be labeled at the room door to avoid any other random people going in. I like it how they serve the breakfast on table. It helps to reduce human contact and food are served warm with a minimalist presentation. Thank you team double tree! Definitely will come back again!

Pros: Large room Very clean Ample parking space Strategic location Large breakfast spread and very tasty too! Very friendly and professional staff (special to Naqia) who managed our stay to make it the best experience in JB. Cons: In-room foods dining quality very low. Better order from food panda. Our seafood aglio olio tasted like fried spaghetti with lots of oil. tasteless.

Since cleanliness is top priority on my list, I would rate full mark for this hotel! Everything is so neat and clean, I can’t find any flaws during our stay. Clean room, comfy beds & friendly staff”
Due to the cleanliness restrictions. Hosue keeping did not have my room ready during check in time. I was give a RM50 F&B discount voucher. In any case, I waited at the lobby for 15min more. everything was good. My only comment will be: Can install towel drying racks? There is only one on the shower door and a hook (which doesn't really help in drying)
