New Hotel Already Needs Some Help”

The hotel doesn't provide any dressers for clothes. They do provide a couple of small cubbies in one of their small closets to put clothes, but for a room that should be able to hold up to 6 people, this is not a hotel to stay at if you bring any more than a few items of clothes. Apparently, having no place to put your clothes is the new direction. It's geared towards people who plan to take a 1 - 2 day trip, which seems to be the type of customer this hotel is going for. For those taking a family vacation, plan to live out of your suitcase for the week. Getting the room cleaned was an issue. The last 2 days of the trip, no one cleaned the room or provided any clean towels. Restaurant service at the pool was extremely slow. Only 3 couples at the restaurant and it took over an hour to get 2 sandwiches, a bowl of soup and some chips and salsa. The staff was very helpful and apologetic once engaged but they seemed overworked, and the hotel in general seemed very short staffed.

Great location. Restaurants in walking distance. Grounds are beautiful with great amenities. On the beach. Short drive to Historic St Augustine or take a Hop On & Hop Off Trolley to sightsee. Will definitely go back.

Best thing about this hotel is that it is right on the beach. Worst thing is that we booked thru a company called Agoda travel. They misled us to believe that all taxes and resorts fees were included. We found out differently when checking out. This hotel charges extra for everything. $26 per day for parking, $22 resort fee, $15 for umbrella etc.. our shower floor was disgusting when we checked in. It had pink scum around the base and sand and hair on the floor. I expect better for the money I paid.

Janice made this worth it”

We booked this hotel because it was the end of a trip to Disney and we wanted a day at the beach on the way home. When booking the room thru agoda we specifically paid more for an ocean view room. When we originally arrived we we given a room that when we walked in looked as if it was not completely finished with the cleaning. The cushions were removed from all of the furniture and stacked in the floor and all the closet doors and microwave were left open. My wife and I went back to the front desk and Janice told us she did not see on her system where we were supposed to be upgraded to an ocean view room but I showed her the email from Agoda and she said she would take care of us. When we got to the room she moved us to it was amazing. There were two balconies and a wonderful view not only of the ocean but all the way down the beach. The room was very spacious and really helped but an exclamation mark to the end of our trip. Thank you Janice and keep up the great work.

A great family resort”

We had a great time at this resort. The location is great, the resort was clean and the staff was overall friendly. However, as a newly established resort, they had several things to work on. When we arrived there we were informed that we must use the valet parking service ($27) which we didn't know anything about. When I questioned, the hotel staff told me that their website clearly explains about the parking. I visited their website, and it said: "Valet Parking Only" under OPTIONAL Services. Apparently, it is not optional!!! This hotel has a good potential as there are not many new, clean, an updated oceanfront resort near it, but if the resort wants to charge about $400+ - for a family to stay plus, resort fee and parking, then this resort had a lot to work on. Just because it had no competitor, that doesn't mean you can charge guests a lot. (we can stay at Hilton Waikiki Hawaii resort for a similar price) For 5-star hotel price, I expect 5-star facility and service.
