Beware the expensive restaurants in the Mt Cook area. Would heavily recommend booking a self-contained room here at Glentanner and bringing your own food in from the grocery stores 30-40km away.

Clean nice place but shared areas were separate from rooms”
Very clean, very nice staff. Shared areas are separate from the rooms. Bring your own food and make sure you have enough petrol as supply is 20 mins away. - The kitchen and lounge were easily accessible from our room. However, the bathroom/toilet was a bit of a walk. It's only a hassle if weather is raining or very cold and windy., and if you need the toilet at night. - Although the place is 20 mins ahead of the village, we were happy with the location. We had trouble with our car 2 kms away from the Glentanner so just got fortunate to reach it and get the car going again. I would recommend this place. Thanks.

When I got there I couldn't believe it was our accommodation as the view was absolutely beautiful! Will come back again if we have a chance to. Condition of our room, kitchen, share shower room are very good and clean. Nice staffs as well. I just wished the price was cheaper but overall I think it was worth it. 마운트쿡 가기 위치가 정말 좋아요. 숙소에서 보이는 뷰가 기가막힙니당. 와이파이도 무제한 제공이라 최고! 추천합니다 👍

Located around 20 minutes easy drive from Mt Cook village itself and 30 minutes drive away from Twizel, there are lots of amenities within the self contained cabin.

WHAT A VIEW!”
I booked for 5 and the unit I got had a single bed, a double bed and a sofa bed. No separate bedrooms. As expected, after converting the sofa into a bed for 2, the space left was crammed. We had to push the small round dining table to the corner and make do with remaining space. Other than that, everything was excellent! LOCATION - Our unit was right at the end of the camp, just beside the Lake Pukaki 🙂 Mt Cook was hovering just outside 🙂 Parking was right up our unit.And to top it all, our night - Nov 8 - was the night of the full moon eclipse- witnessed the blood moon and lots and lots of stars in the darkest sky i have seen in my life 🙂 FACILITIES-Bed linens and towels were provided. Tea, coffee and milk too. Kitchen, wares and toilet & bath facilities were very clean. There were bed and towel bar warmers too. 🙂 Tho, the toilet has no lock. We just have to put up a sign on the door if its occupied. I will book again for my next trip 🙂

Expensive but good scenery”
Stay in self contain unit, cabin not sound proof, lucky to have quiet neighbors, beautiful mountains outside unit, wonderful walk to lake Pukaki with cute rabbits abound but wear waterproof shoes, have to walk across streams to get to lake shore

We stayed in a self contained unit. The bed was very comfy but the forth person had to use sofa bed. The kitchen and bathroom was nice and modern. The cleanliness is superb.

I loved staying here however would have loved eateries a little closer and for the cafe to open earlier as we needed to set off before 8am. But generally the place was amazing.

Everything is fine, great facility. But ...”
We checked in late after the office hour, the reception was closed when we arrived. It took us almost 20 mins to figure out where to get our room key. We drove a car through the whole centre twice. Could not get a clue what to do, we need to pulled our car and ask the other travelers where to get the key. I would expect the reception to open 247 or should have told us about this before our stay.

45kms from twizel where the only supermarket is located, 20kms from mount cook where the only eatary is located. The cafe in the hotel closes at 4. If you’re thinking of booking over here get your own food you wont believe we struggled for salt and pepper in this hotel and then too didnt find it!

Even this hotel location is not in Mount cook village but the scenic is also very good.We stayed in Self-contained cabin room which has everything we need,clean and new .Kitchen are convenient for our cooking.All facilities was very good.

Our private room was small, but adequate - a double bed, single bed and a convertible couch along with a small kitchen and bathroom. The walls were very thin - don't expect to sleep in. You can hear almost everything in the room next door and the helicopter tours take off from the ground starting early the next morning. The restaurant attached to the reception area serves and good, if expensive, breakfast. Bring your own food for dinner. The closest place to eat is at Mt. Cook - very pricey and 20 minutes one way from the Park Centre. The closest grocery is almost 45 minutes away.
